The food is a mixture of French, Mexican, English, Moroccan cuisines and very nicely presented. The place has only been there for a few months but already seems rather popular. The music suits the interior design (I particularly liked the wall where customers left their thoughts on using a felt pen and the one full of old photos). They have a nice function room upstairs too if you wish to have a private party. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Eastbourne definitely needs more places like this, go and find out for yourselves!

Everytime we asked a question, he didn't have an answer. He didn't inform us of items that were out of stock until after we ordered them. He knew nothing about the wine list. And worst of all, we found out our show had been cancelled last-minute and we were trying to scramble for alternate plans, yet it seemed like he was rushing us out of the place despite the place being half empty. The building is beautiful, the wine list is solid, and the food we did have was alright -- definitely not among the best in London, but solid for the theatre district, which is full of tourist traps. But the service was truly *awful*, so I would not recommend it.

I especially like the crab mayonnaise in the appetiser list. I was extremely appreciative and taken by surprise the last time I was there. I ordered the moules frites and didn't finish it (quite a bit was left), the waitress noticed it and asked me why. I told her that it wasn't fresh (my friend had the same dish the previous time we were there, so this is a once off event for me) and she immediately took it off my bill. Thumbs up to her!

Tuna Nicoise Salad, Steak Frites and Chicken dishes are all exceptionally good. Good value as well. I definitely recommend it. Service is the only thing holding back a 5 star rating. If they can get this part corrected, I'd give 5 stars!

I had the crispy duck rolls which were dry and bland, not sure where the 'crispy' came into it, followed by a sirloin steak that was tougher than a pair of my old boots and then a panacotta which was like a forlorn blob of tasteless paste begging to be put out of its misery. The servers are very pleasing to the eye and seem to be handpicked by someone who knows talent when they see it, but prefer to ignore it and choose young girls who try their best but offer service that is random to say the least. Needless to say, 3 courses plus a reasonable bottle of plonk work out at about 50 quid a head with a service charge (well, they did take photos for me and as I alluded to before, they were not a little pleasing on the eye). The ambience is still very pleasant but I just got the feeling that they were all just going through the motions and taking advantage of the fact that there is a shortage of such eating places in the area now. Such a shame, I Guess I'll go back, but it won't be for the food.
