It is near the Notre Dame Basilica de Quebec. Simons is a very small and quiet department store. Convenient for the tourist who forgot to pack something or now needs warmer clothing for the cold Quebec weather. We were surprised that Simons did not have a small giftware section where we might purchase a unique souvenir of our visit to Old Quebec that would not end up being a dusty tchotchke.

Customer Service told me if I could provide them with proof of shipping they would refund my money. I obtained everything required from the post office and they still would not refund my money. I opened a PayPal dispute, and Simons told me they would refund me immediately if I closed the dispute....I CLOSED THE DISPUTE AND THEY AGAIN REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY. I do not know how this company stays in business. They are completely unethical.

We are indigenous and figure that this is the reason why we were being followed. I do not recommend going here as racism is rampant, and if I could give no stars I would. I called Canada Post and was told basically that I'm out of luck and the Seller needed to open an investigation. I was pretty much distraught at that point about the chances of my package arriving before Christmas. Simons went above and beyond, Audrey D. 1458, actually cared about my predicament and said she would call me back when I explained my problem. She not only called me back, but had already gotten tracking for two new coats and sent them express to the US. She also wrote me a nice email explaining the situation. At this busy time of year, I really appreciated someone going out of their way to help a customer. I've already had one friend purchase a coat from Simons and have another friend about to order one too. I can't say enough good things about this store going out of its way to fix a problem that neither of us caused. Thank you Audrey D!

The staff were very friendly: digging out an unpriced, untested vintage portable record player for me to try and when it worked giving me a totally fair price on it. I got it home and am totally thrilled with the find. I also heard from the nearby brewpub Barberie that they love this shop and had worked with them to design their t-shirts. Quebec City has some truly heart-warming examples of local business collaboration and this is an awesome one, go say hi!

We sat at the park for two hours. The last two hours we decide to walk all the way to Fanamanga for a bubble tea! Because why not! The bubble teas are VERY sweet and all made with powder. They mix and mix and mix all the artificial flavours together to make the new craft, but they do this with love. The staff here are very kind. I do enjoy this little shop with shelves and shelves manga (en Français), the complete Sailor Moon series en Français, a shine of Totoro in its fluffy big size, a wall of Japanese snacks, and clothes!! And a washroom. It's a very nice place to hang for an hour! With a nice April breeze flying in. Peaceful and quiet. The customers who visit here are very kind also.

I felt similar earmuffs at other shops, and none felt as soft as the ones I got from Bilodeau. After walking around the city for 2 days in February I realized I had not brought proper footwear and then went on a search. I visited Bilodeau a 2nd time and tried on a pair of boots that did not fit. At no time did I feel pressured by the manager and she was so helpful. I continued to look for boots at various stores without luck. As we were walking by Bilodeau again, I noticed a pair of boots displayed in the window I had not seen. The store was closed, but the manager was inside and saw us. She opened up for us, was so patient as I tried on two pair of boots and I was able to buy the perfect pair. I even forgot my mittens and had to knock again on the door - which she opened laughingly and gave me my mittens. Yes, the price is high, but you get what you pay for. I will have these boots and earmuffs forever - the quality is that good. The manager went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Most of the vendors prefer French but will help you get what you want. This market is a fully immersive experience. Musicians randomly play music throughout. Everyone in the group loved it.

It's located in a very walkable area of Quebec City that's surrounded by countless specialty shops and cafes, and I wish I had more time (and more money) to spend in this awesome shop! It's crowded inside. It's very crowded. The store isn't really all that large, but they manage to put three store's worth of merchandise in one small location. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, it's all merchandise. The merchandise is crazy and awesome. There are vinyl records, games, comics, vintage signs and post cards, ages-old memorabilia, and more stuff than I could adequately remember to include. It was, of course, the vinyl record display outside the store that caught my attention. The staff was awesome and spoke both French and English. (I applaud the fact that so many people spoke both, when Americans (myself included, but I do know a fair amount of Spanish) tend to master only one language). Magasin Général P.L. Kind of disorganized but I liked the low key environment. The manager was very pleasant and accommodative and went downstairs to bring up more of a hat that I was trying on so that I can compare more on fit and feel. I ended up purchasing a Canada Hat here.
