New patient here and I waited 45 minutes for my first appointment and then 35 minutes for my second. That was a bit bothersome but I understand people are busy so I tried to get past that. The office is clean and the office manager is nice so I tried to let the waiting time go. I went in to see the chiropractor and he was also nice but at the same time I could tell he was a bit pompous but that's fine I new I could get over that. My first appointment was thorough in the sense he took an X-ray, did an exam, adjusted and stretched me and then offered some at home tips. I appreciated that and thought everything would be fine, but what I did not appreciate was him offering to give me a roll on gel to later find out it was additional money (without mentioning as he handed it to me, I thought it was a sample of some kind) and he was getting pretty upset that I could not return that week due to a vacation (which I can add more about later). I have no problem paying for services and a product but after that first session I owed $80 in copays! I think this is something they should mention when you make the appointment. They charged me for a consult, X-ray, adjustment and then on top the gel roller. I wasn't expecting that and when I questioned it, the office manager who was initially very nice to me, proceeded to let me know that "he only gets $12 per visit from your insurance so that's really not a high cost at all". I found that to be a little rude but I just paid the bill and left. I was very hesitant to return because at this point I had this money hungry feel but...fine I paid the copays for services and figured I could get over that, but what really bothered me was offering the gel without mentioning a cost and then being pushy about me returning that week when I said I was going to be away and not going to come in. I think he could tell I was bothered by his eagerness to come in as he later said, "well this is only because I want to help you" which I hope is the case, but I really couldn't tell if it was concern or to bill me.
My second visit, I waited again (35 minutes). I mentioned to the front staff that if I wasn't going to be going in soon I would have to leave due to another appointment. At that point I was brought in shortly after, the doctor adjusted me once (no stretch, conversation, nothing) and then was finished and went to the closet to grab his cellphone- all within 45 seconds. This really bothered me. Yes I had an appointment after, yes he was running 35 minutes behind, but I still deserve the full service I'm paying for. If that was the case they should have just let me reschedule rather than waiting all that time to be seen for less than a minute. After this I was annoyed even more and while walking out, the front staff asked if I wanted to make another appointment, but I politely said I would call and left knowing darn well that I would not be calling this office again.
I am being fair and giving this practice 3 stars. They're not bad people (maybe a bit annoyed with certain questions and/or pompous) but overall decent and tolerable if need be for care. You will wait, so be prepared for that. I just didn't find this practice to be one I worked well with and I will not return again due to the above mentioned. I've now found a chiropractor that I really love and look forward to working with so I'm happy, but I felt it was necessary to write this review to inform others about my very OK experience here. read more
