The food is good, i love a good fry up and mug of tea and they do it well, although a late breakfast might mean the microwave is used. Its popular with the local students, but because they are marlborough students then they are very well behaved. Some of the chairs can be uncomfortable and they dont take credit cards, cash only!

To enter walk along the downhill side of the church (if you are on Marlborough High Street you'll see what I mean), and you'll find the door. Inside on the left is a wonderful gift shop. It has all the things you expect, with cards, ornaments and jars of nice stuff, but with a twist. This shop specialises in the work of local artists and craftspeople, so you'll find much that is unique and of excellent quality. Prices can be high (some of the artists' pictures sell for hundreds), but there's plenty of good buys to be had, and it's a place you can enjoy browsing even if you don't buy! In the main part of the church there's also a nice café. They serve teas, cakes and simple food on slightly wobbly tables. Again the prices are reasonable, and the service friendly. And the building of course is a beautiful and relaxing place to sit. There is a small chapel within the church which is apparently still put to religious use. They also use the remaining large open space for exhibitions and concerts. It's a lovely old church, and it's great to see it still being put to good use.

But after trying all the cafes one day for breakfast and finding that all were now only serving lunch, disappointment led us here. To my surprise we got a full cooked breakfast, it was good food, quick and cheap and they serve it all day. You can sit outside in the sun, or the less glamorous inside where you get free wifi. The staff are young, friendly and capable but you won't get the top notch marlborough service nor will you pay for it though.
