I'm not a big fan of the coffee quality overall at Costa, so I prefer going for an iced tea option when visiting here, sadly they do only seem to have one variety in stock, out of the three on the menu, which is the Peach Hibiscus flavour. My drink tasted fine, ice cold but slightly watery and the peach flavour was only subtle, but it was made in a reasonable time frame and the baristas were friendly. They are listed as being open until 9 pm in the evening, but didn't appear to be rushing customers out at that time on my most recent visit, and were still fairly busy, but slowly starting to clean and wind down. Due to being right in the mall, it isn't the quietest or most relaxing place if you want to relax or work, but with a good amount of seating in a comfortable area, there are worse places to grab a drink while shopping at The Trafford Centre. 3*

The only thing what lets this location down is the staff though they don't seem that friendly and sometimes a bit arrogant at times, It always seems like its a problem to take my order and its not really served with a smile. Its close to home though and its always good for a nice chill out as it has a lovely upstairs area. It also has free parking around the back for two hours which is pretty hand for people passing the area. Its also useful for the Hotel above the Costa which is the Etap Hotel. This is standard Costa fair of course, so it's the normal great range of cakes and consistently good drinks. But here it is always service with a smile from all of the team. Even my request for a large half-caf is never a problem, even though I know it's more time consuming to make. It's a great location with its own parking at the back or if in Ancoats, and is split over 2 levels so plenty of space. It's only very busy if there's a match or concert at the Etihad. That said they always blast through the queue as quick as they can. And even though it is next to a main road and is still raining... there's even a tiny bit of outside seating for sunny days, because even Costa know it's sunny in Manchester on some days!

Costa Coffee on Market Street has recently re-opened for sitting-in, I decided to give Costa a…read morechance with their promotion of giving a free coffee up to the value of £3 in the month of July as a promotion to welcome people back, and the fact this remains one of the few coffee-shops in the city right now to offer sitting in facilities (Pret also do this but they close super early, meanwhile Starbucks remains take-out only) I did have problems getting the app working so I had to wait and order in the queue, they did try to socially distance when possible with markings on the floor however I found it complicated in where to pick up my drink as they were making drinks on both sides of the counter, which meant having to go back and forth due to the layout of the store and the signs, which meant I felt like a yoyo. They weren't making customers aware you had to scan an app in order to sit in, they did have this signposted around the store but it would have been easy to miss this. Basically you have to scan a QR code, enter the store number and then fill in your personal information which is solely down to UK law and the NHS contact tracing. My drink came to £3.35. I was upset that they couldn't knock the full value of my 300 points off, and instead, they could only knock off the price of the Iced Latte at £2.85. I had to pay an extra £0.50, rather than £0.35 for vanilla syrup. My drink was awful and had no flavour, it had a large foam on the top too and it just didn't taste like a latte at all, even for a paper straw it was also pretty bad and began to sag from the moment I put it in my beverage. I do think the store could be doing more to make the store easier to follow even with social distancing guidelines of 1m+ as it constantly felt like I was going back and forth, they also need to be doing more to implement the legal requirement of the contact tracing and also change the wording of their free coffee promotion as if you want any extras, chances are the drink won't be free. The overall atmosphere of the place sucked, like my drink too. A real shame. 1*

Always loads going on and always lots of people either working, meeting, shopping or going about their daily business. This store has a live singer on a Sunday evening to lightly entertain you whilst you unwind from your busy weekend. The staff here are great. Chatty and chirpy. :)

I visited at an off peak time, I'm conscious that it can be overly bust at peak times. I had a latte which was really tasty and served in a lovely glass cup. There is lots of seating inside and there are few table and chairs outside if you want to smoke. Staff wer very polite and helpfull. My regular Flat white, £2.50, is always spot on. Smooth yet strong and 9 times out of 10, they nail the coffee art on top :) One thing that I think Costa need to look at is the cost of the food they sell, it's very expensive. It is located near enough in the center of Bury's Rock Shopping center, in St John's Square and is near enough opposite or close to everything in The Rock, including Marks and Spencer. This branch looks quite nice on both the inside and outside, even with a "Takeaway" counter but this store has let me down for many reasons. I visited this store on March 6th and had a very upsetting experience to the point where I felt the need to complain, I asked if they did anything similar to the Vanilla Bean Macchiato on offer at Starbucks, and I asked if he could do me a Macchiato with Vanilla, he looked confused and told me it was the same as a Latte, and then I ordered that. I was angry that the staff didn't know the difference between different types of coffees, which show they are no where near qualified enough to work there. I was also confused, that they brought the drinks to my table, which I also didn't like, having been used to at 99.99% of Costa and Starbucks branches I have visited, I got them from the end. I was also confused why this happened as they didn't seem quiet either. My coffee was hot, but it wasn't good quality either, both the coffee and the vanilla flavoring tasted poor, which I often find of Costa coffee but this was a prime example of this and definitley not a good drink, like I could have got from some Costa branches They did have a great selection of newspapers including The Sunday Times with all the sections and even the Independant (albeit, with 5 pages missing about the EU referendum etc), which was good to see as they was a nice, selection of newspapers especially with Sunday papers being more expensive. Whether I'm missing a few side streets I'm not too sure but most of the town centre seems to be filled with identikit chains and all the usual brands you'd get on any high street. Venturing a little further off the main drag, I spotted Rise with their board saying "best coffee in Wilmslow" so thought why not pop in and see if they're on the money with this! A nice little coffee shop with 2 friendly guys working, they seem to do a number of food options with me seeing everything from soups, sandwiches and beans on toast on other patrons plates around me. I ordered my customary Flat White and having picked up on the 'Aussie' voice of the barista I thought I was on to a winner. What arrived for £2.50 was a bowl of coffee - pretty much a latte which although wasn't too bad was about 4 times too big to be a flat white. They may serve the best coffee in Wilmslow...but all I could taste was the milk. When leaving urban centres there always does seem to be a drop in levels of knowledge or a bastardisation of a recipe to suit local needs and unfortunately the flat white seems to suffer from this... I should have gone for an espresso or macchiato instead... A nice little place, pop in if you're after a chilled out place for lunch.

They're easy going and there's good wifi, so it's a great place to perch up for the afternoon and check your emails. At the weekends he has local live musicians playing which is a little bit different to the other things on offer in Wilmslow at the weekend. They also have monthly art exhibitions at the back of the venue! And it's a great pit-stop at the busy artisan markets every month. Again, dog friendly. So it's a winner in my book! James loves dogs too, always gives them a fuss and he has treats on the counter ready in exchange of a belly rub (of the dog of course...)
