On dec 30th I was hit by a drunk driver going a high rate of speed. I had never been hit before and was very confused about what to do to be reimbursed for my losses. Being a local business owner I was impressed by their professionalism, their courtesy, and timely response to our questions.

Since Insurance is something that is probably the least sexy and exciting thing I can think of, I have often neglected payment deadlines. I also really don't generally want or need to think about it. Kayla and Kyla remind me when payments are due. Kayla and Kyla happily review my accounts and suggest possible improvements in coverage that I may not have thought of. I hope I never need to make a claim, but if, god forbid, I should need to, I know I will be well taken care of by the awesome Kayla and Kyla.

I was given Michael Driskill's name as a very knowledgeable person in the insurance business. What really was the deciding factor was that he was willing to answer even the most tedious questions with patience and kindness, and above all, knowledge. He went above and beyond in showing me my options and presenting them to me in a way that I could understand; he was more concerned that I understood what I was buying more that if I actually would have become his client. His honesty and integrity in this business was a very important factor in making my decision to go with Farmers Insurance & Driskill Insurance Agency. I would recommend his agency to anyone looking for insurance.

In that time, I have had zero accidents and zero claims that were my fault. I live in the western part of Chico where there is literally no wildfire risk. When time came to renew my policy, I was told that despite my home not being in a wildfire risk area and being a loyal customer for 30 years, they would not renew my home policy because of increasing risk exposure in California. I'll be the first to admit that wildfires are a problem in the state, but logical businesses understand that there are areas within the state with wildfire danger and areas without. Within 30 minutes I went to AAA who had no problem insuring my vehicles and home and I've turned my back on State Farm as they have done to every Californian. I encourage every single person with a State Farm policy to cancel it to run them out of the state entirely.

Like I said at first it was good but I forgot to provide an unemployment paper and had to amend my taxes. The Gridley associate and manager were no help to me. They wanted to charge me another $100 on top of the $450 I already paid to make a change which took about 10 - 15 minutes in the Yuba City office I wound up after I decided I was going to look into something else. I even paid extra for the insurance and identity theft protection but that made no difference to them. The Yuba City branch made the change at no cost to me. just my time and effort to get to the building. The Gridley associate was also playing games saying it would take at least an hour to do the work and when I asked the manager about it, she also was not giving me a straight answer. The associate had some attitude on the phone when I complained about the high price and asked how long it would take. I was calm and polite when I spoke to her. Had they made the change for me I would have continued coming back, now I will take my business to the Yuba City office from now on. It because of the willingness of the Yuba City office to help me that I even come back to H & R Block at all. All in all, as long as all your paperwork is in order then you'll probably have a good experience in Gridley. But they lied to me and their customer service after taxes were done was severely lacking. I don't recommend the Gridley branch.
