This is a very busy, colorful, abstract mural that was painted by Mark McKenzie AKA (artistically known as Mac Blackout in 2018. It Is painted on the side of State Street Pub and overlooks a decent sized parking lot. That makes it easy to park, jump out and take a closer look, if you so choose.
Now I will try to describe it. There is an eye in a triangle, a ladder and some stars, all tied up in a whimsical mural. My head hurt just looking at it, trying to figure out what was going on. Artistically, this mural is pretty decent and showcases Blackout's talent and skills. But it has no context and is very busy, which seems to be Blackout's style. The mural is in great shape and does attract your attention.
Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a very long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes and I was out. You may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other wonderful downtown murals and attractions and making this part of a larger itinerary. read more
