How many stores do you walk into and instantly just start air drumming to the cool tunes you hear? I've never done that before, until I went into Cosmic Delights and it seemed totally normal. Lovely, little head shop with all kinds of "cosmic delights." I drifted through this store on a puff of incense smoke and surrendered myself to the fact that I was going to drop major dime on large amounts of eclectic items, and so it was my friends. A wonderful gem in Madison! A smaller shop but so much to look at; a wide assortment of crystals (plenty of sizes to choose from, and budget friendly!), jewelry, books, and incense. The energy inside was calming, yet inviting and relaxing. I didn't catch the person working's name, however they were very kind and friendly (and had fabulous eyelashes). What a gem! I was looking for a crystal/tarot card shop while in Wisconsin for a weekend trip with a friend to Devil's Lake. We almost forgot to stop by and were about to get back onto the highway when I noticed it in the plaza and pointed it out. So glad we stopped by. The shop itself is a little small and they currently have social distancing measures in place, allowing eight people into the store at a time. It was worth the wait - truly a delight. I understand why patrons could spend such a long time there. We bought a handful of crystals and I bought some oracle cards. There are CBD products, essential oils, and beautiful jewelry as well. The folks who work there are nice, too, and were making suggestions to people looking for particular things. The next time I'm in Madison, I'll stop by again for sure. read more

What an appropriate name for this shop. What you expect to be here is: Incense on the cheap, funny little knick knacks, hookahs, candles, oils, jewelry, etc. It's employees(a husband and wife duo) also make you feel right at home, and are very knowledgable about their otherworldly products. This is my absolute favorite store in all of Madison! The new location provides parking, so you can stop in as long as you want (and take home lots of products). They have everything: crystals, oils, incense, candles, tapestries, clothing, jewelry, books, tarot, and art from local artist. The employees here are very nice and extremely helpful. They always have an answer to my questions. They are very knowledgeable about what they sell and truly care about the business. I'm not into head shops, but I LOVE rocks and minerals and the Arcane. So there was plenty here for me to check out. The incense smell was overpowering, and I could smell it in my nostrils for awhile after I'd left. If you have a sensitive nose, be warned. They have quite the rock and mineral selection, for such a small space. I walked outta there with some beautiful quartz clusters and a black kyanite fan. The prices for these stones were right on par with the most reasonable places online--and I didn't have to pay any shipping! The clerk was SUPER nice, and a few different customers came and went while I was perusing the rocks. I loved how the clerk seemed to recognize everybody--such a nice, neighborly feel. She seemed to recognize everyone in there, and was cheerful and complimented one of the stones that I'd picked out (it was a particularly nice specimen, so she obviously has good taste lol). Anyway, I really appreciated her manner. I will definitely come back here--there are some amethyst points with my name on them. And I've finally found a place with reasonably-priced sage bundles. Very cool place! Really just came here to check the place out and see what kind of stuff they have. Roommates ended up leaving with a Hookah, Tobacco, and charcoal. The guy running the store was supper helpful and very friendly. We were monkeying with the singling bowls, and he came over and demonstrated how they work (Very cool by the way!) I visited this store the other day and it was barely worth the visit. If you are looking for rocks and crystals, they had a few, but not a ton. Mostly they had jewelry and statues and not many Hindu statues at all. About the only good thing I can say about the place was they had a nice assortment of sage and incense. The essential oils they had were only zodiac oils and I was looking for something specific which they didn't have. I also was looking for a Hindu totem and couldn't find that either. I'm from Rock County and the stores near where I live have a much wider variety of items, including books. Furthermore, Rock County does not require people to wear masks anymore. I forgot when I walked in and the person behind the counter got wild eyed and defensive because I didn't have a mask on. I just didn't think about it but quickly put one on. As a person who is very spiritual, I felt the entire store was more of a disappointment than worth it. I won't be going back. I'll continue to shop in my town instead or get what I want from Burnie's Rock Shop or online. The prices here are on the expensive side as well. read more
