I made an appointment with ample time, got a text confirming ALSO I got a call from the receptionist confirming my time the same day. I moved so many things around for my appointment asked time from job to meet with Armando, I got to location 5 minutes prior. To a note on the door saying were out and will be back soon. I was confused I called the number after 10minutes passed and said I am here. I got a text saying "sorry , give me 15-20minutes" followed by a call saying we ran late with another client and they were out to lunch so to wait 15-20 mins. So no respect for my time OR a call to let me know can we change time. I took time from my Job to meet you fixed all my work appointment to to meet with you and to be on time, so now I have to wait 15-20mins because you ran late with another client. This would have been my 3rd year dealing with Armando. My daughter and I showed up to our scheduled tax appointment and to our surprise Armando was not available. We didn't receive a courtesy call or any type of notification to let us know he'd be a no show. His Sister decided to take the appointment in his place which was not our preference but being that we had already made the the drive out we figured we would make the most of it. From the start her demeanor was unprofessional. She was rude especially to my daughter, she came across as catty. The overall appointment felt more like an interrogation than a tax appointment. She became more bothered anytime we would ask questions as if we were questioning her ability to do her job which was not the case we just simply had questions pertaining to our taxes...Her condescending approach was uncalled for and made this such unpleasant experience so much so that we decided to walk out mid appointment. She came across as a bully and made it a point to let us know she's been doing this for 7 years and she knew what she was talking about. Her ego was in full display. I don't know what her problem was but I'm sure she's used to talking down to her customers it just came to easy to her. I informed Armando about my experience and never received a reply. An unfortunate experience, I wont be coming back again. read more

This is my second year with Armando. Last year my wife and I owed a lot of dinero to the IRS and FTB. Armando didn't do anything shady, but he did find all legal means to lessen the blow. And he gave us financial advise to come out ahead in 2017. My wife and I followed his advise and received a REFUND this year. God I can't tell you how much I love this guy. This review is long overdue. This is my 3rd time coming to Armando. I went to him the second year after I moved into Placentia and he took care of all my tax needs. I only came to him after HR Block in Brea was extremely unhelpful and didn't explain anything of what they were doing with my taxes.. He was a little pricey for me at the time (new college grad) so I decided the following year I would go somewhere else...BIG MISTAKE! I decided to see if a friend of mine could help me and now I learned why they say never do business with your friends. She made some mistakes in our taxes and somehow my husband and I ended up owing the IRS because of her mistake. Well we took our taxes to Armando late at night and he fixed ALL of it without any issues. We asked him endless questions and vented out our frustrations and he listened to it all with patience and understanding. I learned my lesson and came back to him the next year (this year) and everything went smoothly of course. We found our tax guy for life!
