For a English speaker who had lived in Germany for a couple of years, this place has endless benefits. For those who don't know, the Corso International Theater, is a English based theater, where American movies are shown. This place might be small at first look but the fact that I was able to watch an American film in English at a theater was a experience I was willing to go to. The staff are extremely friendly and they do serve common movie theater snacks, such as, ice cream, candy, popcorn, etc. Also they sell several movie posters from classic films like Star Wars. If you live in the Stuttgart area or your just visiting the country, this is the place to be. read more

I have been to cinemas around the world but will never pass up Corso when in Stuttgart. A visit is a must if you want a movie in English. It is an original tone cinema or more correctly it is an English language cinema. None English films that are shown there are subtitled in English, not many are shown. At the concession stand is good popcorn, good drinks, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and many other good edibles to chew on during the film. The owner and crew are a group of amazing people that like what they do and do it well. Helping to make this the best cinema in the world, at least my favorite. I have seen this cinema come from its multi-colored seats and stereo sound to 7.1 surround, digital projection, and even a 3-D projector. Corso is Stuttgart's #1 movie theater for original versions of mostly English (respectively American) movies. This cinema is very small, they have only 2 screens. But they are doing a great job showing as many movies as possible. The interior is not posh and has its best years behind it, but the moderate price compensates for it. Parking is available in the back yard, take the access at the bus stop at the restaurant next door to the cinema. Since the parking lot is even smaller than the movie theater, it is advisable to take the bus or U-Bahn to get there. Reservations can be made on their website, and I suggest you make a reservation to make sure you will get a ticket. You need to pick up your tickets 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the movie, otherwise they would cancel the reservation and sell the ticket so someone else. Free seating means that you should better not be the last to enter the cinema auditorium. There are snacks and beverages available at Corso. There is a queue for tickets and another queue for drinks and snacks, and they are both in the same narrow corridor that leads to the auditoriums. If you like to have your meal in a restaurant in the neighborhood, there are some nice (and some other) spots within walking distance. The closest by might not be the best restaurants in town. read more

my favorite cinema in stuttgart. conveniently located in Vaihingen at a U bahn station and close to a S bahn station, in the heart of vaihingen with bars and restaurants close by. Corso is specialised in original tone movies( mostly english). when we lived in Stuttgart we went a lot, about weekly, because we like it so much better to have the original experience. there are 2 rooms that show recent movies , sometimes they have them even earlier then the States! the line can be long on the stairway and the concession area is little, there is a tiny waiting space with a couple of tables in case your theater is not open yet. the concession has salty and sweet popcorn, usual cinema snacks like chips and gummy bears, and drinks including local beers and wine and of course alcohol free fare. the people are very friendly and speak pretty good english. they offer a membership card that gives you some discounts. 3D glasses are 1 Euro but you can take them with you and bring them back to other 3D movies so you don't have to pay the Euro again the next time! way to go for the environment!! parking is tricky but we always went with the train , they do give you a break on indoor parking close by. a couple bars and restaurants in the vicinity also give you a real in case you show them your ticket stub, the tell you in the advertising before the movies. the seating and the sound was recently updated, and its nice and cozy! love this place! read more

The staff at this cozy theatre is super friendly and the seats are about the most comfortable around. I find the prices very reasonable compared to the USA first run movie theaters. Very easy to reserve seats online but be there 20 minutes prior to the performance or you'll lose the reservation. Even so, the staff will try to get you in! read more

The (as far as I know) only movie theater showing films in english. They offer online reservations, but at the theater there is free choice of seats. First come first served. Their prices are ok, the seats etc a little run down. Nevertheless they do have 3D entertsinment and show some movies before the german theaters have them. read more
