Plenty of space for six people with a full kitchen (saved money by doing some grocery shopping!), as well as a full washer/dryer. Reasonably priced. Close to the strip but thankfully away from all that chaos - exactly what we wanted. The rooms were clean, and the facilities well-maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will have to take advantage of the pool next visit. Would highly recommend!

I'd look elsewhere if the price were higher given the age of the property and the road noise. Pros: We enjoyed the space and off-strip location at a fantastic price in Feb. We had a 2 bedroom which felt like an apartment complete with living room, dining table and full kitchen. We appreciated the living room sofa and TV and ample space to relax. Its only about 10 minutes from major strip properties if traffic is light which is great. Cons: Decatur Ave is a divided street so you can only turn right out of the parking lot so it can be difficult to access (you always need to make u-turns etc). I am a light sleeper and was bothered by the loud road noise of random motorcycles or cars racing by. The units look 15ish years old and show wear in a number of places.

The Strip

The WA in LV is a beautiful place to stay, especially if you are looking for an elevated experience…read moreon the strip, minus having a casino on the ground floor. Yes, please. It seems as though their renovations have been completed. If you stayed here when it was the Mandarin Oriental, you will remember you had to go to the 3rd floor to check-in. WA kept that process until the most recent reno. You now checkin upon entry, like most places, however, you still go to the 3rd floor to access the guest room elevators and restaurant. I really love all the new touches and also enjoy the touches they kept from the previous franchise. The check-in staff was above and beyond friendly and looked for ways to make sure you would best enjoy your stay. After a long drive and plane ride, it's nice to chat with people who are genuinely engaged in getting to know about your stay. We had made reservations for spa treatments for after we are arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed that time. I would go as far as to say the WA spa is one of the best spas on the strip. Fabulous. The WA is a wonderful strip hotel in a great space and a lot of convenience in and around.

Staff was professional and the atmosphere is much calmer compared to most casino hotels in Las Vegas, which can actually be a big plus if you want a more relaxed environment. One important thing to know - if your room is on a lower floor, don't expect much of a view. Some lower-floor rooms face the back side of nearby buildings and the experience is completely different compared to the higher floors. I would strongly recommend asking for a higher floor upgrade if possible, because the views are significantly better and really change the overall impression of the hotel. The fact that the hotel is non-casino is actually nice and makes the property feel more peaceful and less chaotic than many Vegas resorts. Overall, a good hotel, but room location and floor level make a huge difference here.

South Summerlin

I had a very solid stay here and would stay here again on business…read more In the past, I would stay on the strip, but for some reason when I came for this work trip, the strip was outrageously expensive about three times more than what I would typically pay. Since I needed to be in Summerlin, & seeing there was a new Element made sense. The suite was large and really comfortable. I greatly appreciated having the kitchen area because I did bring home some leftovers a few times. having a dedicated Desk was really helpful as I was catching up on work emails and of course the separate sofa with the TV is just nice to have before unwinding for bed. Good sleep hygiene. The bedroom was very comfortable and very clean. I slept great on the mattress, it was definitely new and the sheets were crisp. I did receive daily made Service which provided thorough cleaning. All the bathroom fixtures are functioned well without issue. No tub which suited me fine here. The AC worked well and as you can imagine was on pretty much non stop. It was slightly loud but manageable. Check-in was quick. I was able to find a parking spot easily nightly even though it was a weekend and clearly fairly occupied. The breakfast buffet was good. They had the typical high carb stuff, but they also had a nice little yogurt bar, which I appreciated. the coffee was good and complementary, which seems to be going out of Fashion so I appreciated not having to pay for coffee. The location was well situated. It's right off the highway although I didn't notice noise and there's nearby restaurants. There's also a pretty good shopping center not very far away.maybe 5-10 mins. I think I was maybe 25 minutes from the strip and I was quite close to red rock so I was able to swing over one morning, which was very enjoyable. Particularly given how close the hotel was to it. It didn't feel like a huge lift to go and explore. The fitness center had a peloton bike which I loved/used and they had other nice new equipment and free weights and filtered water. There was an outdoor pool that I didn't use. I only have positive things to share about my stay here. I was here for 3 nights and it was very comfortable!

Pros: -easy in and out - especially compared to so many other massive hotels in the area -friendly staff -clean rooms -studio has a full kitchen -basic bathroom and kitchen amenities provided -central location with plenty of restaurants nearby -breakfast included -fitness center that I hope to use at some point! -happy hour offered on some evenings as well as a tea service Cons: -breakfast is mediocre and pending when you arrive there may or may not be food available -not sure there is any great view option. Our room overlooks some commercial buildings I was also charged almost double what my rate was supposed to be upon checking-in. Currently working on getting that fixed!

It's going to be 14 business days until I get my hundred dollars back. It wasn't much yet it was a needed situation due to the fact that frontier moved our flight up and wouldn't let us check in 29 minutes prior to boarding even though we were there an hour early however they moved our plane up by 20 minutes (did not notify) and they would not let us on the flight so I had to do the best thing for my daughter and myself. We chose the Oyo hotel because we just needed a place to sleep for the night. It was 10 PM. We were leaving the next day and due to CES being in town. The rates we had at the Luxor for the past two nights tripled in price. Highly disappointed in regards to the fact that they can hold onto my hundred dollars for two weeks. Not to mention the whole hotel smelled like an ashtray. Definitely not staying there again. I will say the highlight of our whole entire trip was the bartender, and the server at steak 'n Shake. The employee at the gift shop was amazing too!! They all made our whole entire trip at the Oyo enjoyable. All three truly knows what customer service is. Thank you so much.

Next time we will just spend a little more to stay at a nice, clean, functioning hotel. Check in was simple (front desk did not mention our casino free play $5 so we went back to redeem it. Like another review said: it's not free. You have to put in a dollar to start playing), casino floor was empty bc there are much nicer casinos on the strip, 2/3 elevators were working but not well at all. On every trip up or down the elevator would stop at every floor even if the elevator was full. Every. Single. Floor. The elevator took 10 minutes every single trip up or down. Not including waiting to get on the elevator. According the timeline of other reviews, one has been broken for at least 6 months... There's Hooters signs outside and the inside promotes it everywhere. Idk when this hotel changed from Hooters to OYO but if they don't have the Hooters then they shouldn't promote it all over the website when booking. I didn't have any "resort fees" but I did pay $40 for a 2 day parking pass ($2 discount for hotel guests which is laughable) not bad pricing bc I also paid $30 at the Venetian for 2 hr parking. I also paid the $100 deposit which was returned to me in timely manner after checking out. The room was okay but left dirty! (someone's hair left on the floor in the bathroom) and the view was entirely of construction. The hallway echoes and walls are thin so beware, neighbors can hear your muffled conversations and other activities...The staff were very nice when we voiced our complaints about the elevators, went to claim our "free play", and played billiards/ ordered a drink. The walk is not bad from here to the strip, parking is affordable compared to other hotels, employees and staff were nice. However, I have learned my lesson and will gladly pay more for a nice modern hotel somewhere on the strip.
