Called to make an appointment with Orlando. He told me to be there at 4:30. When I arrive 5 minutes early, he has just started on someone. After waiting 35 minutes I left. As I was leaving, I told him it was not good way to run your business. He started saying he was just running late. I looked at him and said BS - you pushed someone ahead of me knowing you booked me at 4:30. I got a RESOUNDING YELL of FUC$ YOU to my back as walked out the door. Nothing like respect for the other 3 clients. read more

I actually had a great haircut with Orlando, despite the bad reviews, unsure about what exactly the bad service they mentioned is all about. But my experience was great and Orlando is a good and overall nice person who made sure I got a great haircut. Will be going again while I'm visiting El Paso. read more

$25 for the second worst haircut I've ever had in 72 years. The barber had no "feel" for the job, he just went through the motions. He took 40 minutes giving me a headache and leaving me looking like a hit and run victim. Not recommended. read more

Coronado Barber Shop - Me, sporting my worst haircut. - Barbers Near Me - El Paso, Texas

This is a cool barber shop that offers discount to military $2 off). Opened since 1962 Lorenzo is a fixture in the El Paso market place. Will be coming back for sure. They use several good brands including Level 3, and Brut. The service was friendly and fast. My son was kind of happy with his haircut but felt that they cut too much. read more

I've never had a problem here, with any of the barbers. But then again, I'm a traditionalist, no drama child of the '70s. All those negative reviews strike me as entitled, pampered,cry-babies. Just git a haircut man, like a man, leave the beauty stuff to the women at a hair salon. read more

Very Okay haircuts. This place is a staple for an okay experience. Don't expect the best fade, their staff rotates fairly frequently and it's primarily older ladies that cut hair. Not a dig but they're not gonna do any designs or give you the sharpest fade out there. It's a no frills ten or fifteen minute haircut for an okay price. Their huge competitive advantage is that they're open Sundays and are okay with walk ins. If you put off your haircut and have work Monday morning this is one of the few spots in town to get a haircut at on a Sunday. What they lack in barbershop frills they make up for by just always being accessible. read more

Walked in to the central location. Affordable prices. The barber was friendly, and she gave me a nice haircut.

Another Major told me about this place so I decided to check it out. I walked in and asked if it was true that I could get a $15 haircut here and a free beer! They said yes, and that I could get 2 free beers! There's a small single tap of Michelob Light which drips stupid slowly. I filled my cup about 1/4 of the way then sat down for my haircut. While getting my cut I asked about the place and it's been open since 1962! One of EP's oldest barber shops. While sitting there, the owner's father filled a cup up and then poured it into my cup to give me a full cup! I thanked him and said it was perfecto! Yeah, this place is super friendly and pretty cool. Oh, and I got charged $13 for being military! read more

Went in for a MID - FADE , she completely shaved one side and left the other side patchy . The first time she said we were done I went to check in the mirror and the fade was so patchy and not a fade at all. So I went back to the chair twice to have it fixed and she did even worse , ended up shaving a whole side of my head and leaving the other side patchy . I just left with the bad haircut and no tip because she was just going to make it worse . read more

During COVID-19 my husband, a regular customer, went to get a haircut at this place and never again! They yelled at him and berated him for not signing it as appropriate -when their sign was miniature to say the least! Worst customer experience ever! If Yelp had A ZERO star that's what I would have chosen! read more

Still passed off about this haircut. Unbelievable. It is gonna look bad for a long time, don't trust these people they don't give a shit.

I was looking for a barbershop close to my brother-in-laws house here in El Paso and was disappointed to know that the nearest one on yelp had only one review and two stars. I took the risk since I simply buzz my head, a two minute procedure. Following the yelp address, I came upon Coronado Barbershop. This is El Paso meaning that for a California guy, its hot. Therefore the blast of AC that hit me as I opened the door was welcoming. There was only one other customer seated when I walked in so I was immediately received. As I sat down, I noticed Marine Corps posters on the wall, another welcoming note in this Army town. Anyway another story for another day....... Once I was seated, the young woman proceeded to cut my hair. As previously mentioned, it was about a two minute ordeal. I was already content at this point and ready to leave but out of no where she brought out an pressurized air hose and blasted all the left over hair on to the ground. Wow. I thought I was falling through the sky. I was at about 4 stars at this point when she started to place the lather on the edges of my hairline and proceeded to clean it up with a straight razor. 5 star treatment. The place was clean, fresh, the workers were friendly and I left feeling so fresh and so clean............... The buzz cut cost 10 bucks. read more

Got my cut with Ted... I came in jacked up and walked out all grins. Master barber with a steady hand and knows his craft. I came unsure of what to do other than buzz it off but he explained what he was going to do and saved the top of my hair. I'll definitely be back. read more

Stopped in for a cut and beard trim and got a great job at a modest price. It's a good old fashion no frills barbershop where you can get a shave and a cut for under 25 bucks. Will drop in again. read more

las señoras no saben cortar pelo alv, le pedí low fade y me hizo high fade no lo recomiendo para nada

The prices are inconsistent. My first visit I paid $16 for a head shave & beard trim. The second visit I was charged $29 by a different Barber for the same service. I was told the prices went up $4 (from $16 to $20) for the head shave, and then an additional $9 for my beard. I found the pricing really didn't make up for, or offset the labour involved, especially for the minimal beard trim. Be sure to have the tip set aside in cash before you pay, I'd probably the best advice I can give. read more

First impression was kind of rough. However the service was great. There were a lot of people waiting and was a bit unorganized. I got my haircut done by Martha. I really liked my hair cut. And she give me very good advice about my hair. I've never been here before and I was looking for a nice barber shop. There is even free beers and free coffee. I went to Gentleman's republic and I really didn't like it And it was twice the prize. read more

"If you want a true, "barber shop," go to the ones that display the red and blue pole because it's a symbol of their true craft."This is true for this shop. My sons have been here along w/ my military boyfriend and their work is neat, clean, and at a fair price. The floors are swept and it has the style of a welcoming barber shop. In addition, I like that the crew that makes up most of the staff are women. : ) read more

I asked for a trim and she cut most of the top back off and left a lot of hair in the front. Also she lined me up wrong.

Awesome service awesome atmosphere all that for a great price, hard to find that these days. Could not be happier. I came in from out of town and needed a haircut and was told they they were good, but I was skeptical. They surpassed my expectations and I was very pleased. Thank you!!! read more

Stopped in for the 3rd time to get a standard crew cut. Julia was available as I came in, and I think I understand why now. I had meetings all morning, so I came in with a modest amount of styling product in my hair. Because I had noticed (on my previous visit) that the service list included a shampoo option, I told her that I wanted a wash and cut. I figure it would be easier than fighting with the putty I had used that morning. She laughed and said, "We don't do shampooing." I asked her if I should come back another time with clean hair and she insisted I was fine. Unfortunately, she was far more interested in gossiping about other customers (including some pretty disparaging comments about a wealthy client from Mexico who had apparently upset her by criticizing Donald Trump), discussing politics and talking to other customers who were waiting than in giving a decent cut. The lines are uneven and the tapering (if you can call it that) is a mess. While she did a fairly decent job on the nape of my neck, brows and sideburns, she completely ignored other areas and I was pissed to get home and see how much had NOT been done. I'm doing my damnedest to force things into some kind of shape until it grows out enough for a qualified barber to fix it. I even overtipped because I didn't want to be "that guy" who didn't behave with civility even when the service is poor. Not planning on going back there. I'm not super picky, but I expect at least basic skills from someone with a license... read more

Been coming here for over 15 years. Walked in right before closing which I never do and was told by Lorenzo (the new owner) that they are closed. Yet they had people waiting to get cut. Asked if they could cut one more I figured they could make an exception since I'm a regular every week. Was told "na sorry bro." This would have never happened when Eddy was there since he appreciated loyal customers. Ill take my business to M D Barber from now on 7500 N Mesa St 201. read more

Worst haircut of my life . Showed the girl a picture and she said "suuure I can do that ... my head looks nothing like the pic .. I gave her simple instructions and she couldn't follow them . Oh and this the 2nd time this has happened . I should have gone to the 5.99 dollar place . I was wrong to give this place another chance . I'm literally wearing a hat for 2 weeks . read more

Some of these people do not look like licensed barbers i went in for a cut today asking for MID-FADE and she looked a little confused so i had to explain it to her and she said she got it. I leave the top of my hair long due to my curls and most of all the times i've gotten a haircut they put the top in a bun or some and she didn't do anything barely even wet it. Then i started feeling some things she's doing wrong but i couldn't get a view on it. The sides were cut but not lined up at all, the top was way shorter than what i asked. Then she decides she's finished, i asked her are you going to line me up, then i told her if she could fix one thing one the side and she handed me a mirror to look at the back of my head and kid you not she did a 2 all around literally my whole head was trimmed up same length except for the top, and i was like this is not a mid fade. She then acted all dumb saying she was confused and thought i said a taper tell me where do you understand taper from mid fade. What an idiot, now i gotta go to prom lookin as much as a bum as that barbar. read more

I've been in a hunt for a great barber and finally found zully, just moved here from California. I get a low faid every week and couldn't be happier! First time at this barbershop and it was a horrible experience. The barber Julia was not attentive at all, didn't ask what I wanted on top and just started cutting and had an attitude. She seemed to be in a hurry and needed her cigarette break. The haircut was mediocre and the line up top was uneven and not straight. I wouldn't go back. read more

I don't go here my husband does but I usually go with him other times he'll tell me about how it went. This place is just not properly run at least not by professionals. As a server I wouldn't pull out my phone if I received a phone call in the middle of taking your order and there's a stylist (Zuly) here who does just that. She'll be cutting his hair and if she receives a call she'll answer it and talk on her phone and stops cutting his hair until her call is over. There's been times where he'll tell me they took so long not because there was a wait but because she's just on her phone. Personally if it were me I'd say something but it's not my business I suppose. read more

Don't get a haircut with Julieta. Took my son in for a haircut and she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. I asked her for a specific cut and kept giving me excuses on why she couldn't do it a certain way. It was a simple one around and scissors of the top. I recommend getting a haircut with Martha. read more

First off let me say I'm a Very picky person when it comes to my hair... Saying that, I got a really good haircut (ask for Zuly) razor fade, low fade, and medium fade Amazing!! I give her 10stars. Walked in, asked for a low fade, and got a high and tight. A poor one at that. Wasn't even level. It tapered out, went back in again to a flat spot and straight up. My head looked like a rubik's cube. Got in an argument with the dude and he blames it on me saying I didn't "tell him what I wanted." That's funny. The guy next to me asked for the same haircut and he got what he wanted. Gave me a free crappy haircut. I would rather have paid for a good one. Never going back. read more
