I adore these photos, but as his third birthday approached, my heart was searching for something different. He's not a "sit and smile" kinda boy. Stella was a little tense/nervous/confused about all the commotion and posing for pictures, so I was worried that would show through in the photos. I was also afraid that my own awareness of the camera would not allow us to look natural in photos. I was so wrong!
