Having a lending partner who stays engaged and works closely with escrow makes such a difference in getting everyone to a smooth and successful closing. Julie and the Aragon Lending Team were wonderful to work with, and I would absolutely recommend them. I look forward to working together again on many more transactions! I work on multi billion dollar construction projects, so I'm suspicious of everyone, but Craig and his team earned my trust and confidence in a very short period of time. When I finally called Craig, I was just over 3 weeks into the loan process with the same bank that manages all of my investments, as well as my banking. I even have a mortgage with them on another proerty!! Given all of that, I would have thought that the Mortgage Broker assigned to me would give me great service, and would deliver on assurances I had recieved that they could close within the 6 week schedule we laid out. In fact, I never even got an email, call or sms from the Mortgage Broker himself until I told my Investment Advisor that I was pulling the application. Even though I sent several emails to him directly, I only ever heard from his Loan Processor or my Investment Advisor. Craig and his team at CB Loans were exactly the opposite. They gave me multiple avenues for getting my documents to them securely and quickly. They worked around my hours and and when I could talk. They told me exacatly what documents they needed to get my loan approved, and didn't waste my time with things they didn't need. They made sure they understood my wishes as well as my concerns. And Craig took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my understanding of the details of the process (I moved here from out of state, and it's quite different here). He also got me comfortable with how we would get to the best rate, and worked with me closely on exactly when we ought to lock in the rate so that we got what I think was the best possible rate we could have gotten at the time. I highly recommend CB Loans... whether you start with them, or go to them once you realize "the other guys" aren't going to delvier what they promised, Craig and his team will deliver.

I understand that members can opt out by February, but why, in this day and age with all the online scams that exist, are we putting a price on members financial security? That seems unfair, especially knowing that we are more than likely going to see some weird things happen with finances and prices in 2025. $10 a month is nearly as much as what most Banks charge at a basic level. The fact that current members are being forced into ProtectPlus instead being allowed to opt into it on their own accord is very weird. This is such an inappropriate time to implement something like this, especially knowing that this institution has been opened for nearly 85 years and some people have probably been clients for that long. I'm also concerned as to why this choice has not been advertised CLEARLY and UPFRONT sooner to current members. I only recently found out within the last week from a piece of mail of all things, that the ProtectPlus will be pushed onto members, and we have the option to opt out of it by February 1st. Why are we just being notified now and not like 6 months ago? There's no way this new plan was just put into fruition within the last few weeks, and there's no way that in this day in age Kinecta couldn't have sent out an automated text to all members explaining exactly what this was going to be about. Email, apps, and texts exist- so why am I receiving a letter about this? Not to mention, why is this even happening at the expense of the customer? Post update to the response: I appreciate the fast response. I'm well aware I can opt out of the checking account, I blatantly and clearly already said that in my post. This post is more about the nature and implementation of this new checking account and how it's being forced onto clients instead of giving them the option to opt into it. It is sneaky, and I'm sure a lot of clients will be taken off guard by it and not realize it's been implemented and they will be unwillingly paying fees to Kinecta that they weren't aware of. It also goes against the "no fee" services Credit Unions tend to provide compared to banks. I hope those points will be taken into consideration as Kinecta moves forward with this new Checking Account.
