Hungover, broken and nauseous, we arrived on Polzeath Beach to meet the reps. Wesuits, lifejackets and helmets were distributed and we hopped in the cars for a 15 min drive to our jump off point. If you've never been coasteering before, as I hadn't, I thoroughly recommend it! There guys were excellent with the safety details and encouraged to us to jump off huge cliffs into the swell and sea below. Sound fun? No? Well it is. A great adrenaline burst and impressive fun. We clambered across rocks, swam into rocky channels and floated as human rafts in the ocean. Highly Recommended.

There was a private deck which looked out onto the farm, and we had ponies in the field over our back fence. The cottage was tastefully decorated with all necessary appliances (including dishwasher and digital tv) and the bed was very comfortable. The farm is very close to the Eden Project and within easy reach of other attractions such as the Lost Gardens of Helligan and Truro. The only down side for us was that St Blazey itself did not have many shops or restaurants, only a couple of quite dingy pubs, so we had to drive to find somewhere to eat. A very pleasant stay in a beautiful location.

The station has a lot of good memories for me, as does the city and when you're around here make sure you try some fish and chips and enjoy this little, newer English station. I just wish it was on the cliffs and by the sea in the surfing capital of the UK. But it's great.

You can park your car right here and then head to the fascinating Wheal Coates (or further). It's a pretty easy walk. Quite flat. Our English Bulldog managed fine. Even though fully exposed to the sun, the trail doesn't feel too hot, there's always a breeze - even on hot days. The views are amazing. You'll find yourself stopping multiple times, just to take in the breathtaking views. Some benches on the way offer some rest. There are walkers, but a lot less than expected. We arrived at around 4pm and there were only a handful visitors. A really great walk, one of the finest in the area for sure. We love walks, especially coastal walks. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this one.
