I asked them if that request was a joke- they responded that their underwriter is very picky- When I called their office the lady said they will probably need to push closing until Monday- keep in mind most lenders can turn a package in 30 min- 1 hr if minor last minute conditions exist. In this case they said they are not sure if they will make closing that is 24 hrs away I close over 20-30homes a month and this experience has truly been a nightmare. I am sure my client got a decent rate but I don't think the stress and last minute issues were worth it.

Tells me that she has the best rates of any lender and no origination fees and very low closings costs. After almost two months and no progress and still no info on a rate or closing costs, I got bit upset and asked for a different processor, at that time she quoted a rate of 8%. I figured a short term construction is high but, thinking that I am in it for almost 2 months, I will deal with it. Another week and she is still asking for one document at a time, instead of asking for all documents at the same time. I ask for someone else, and then being told my closing costs are over $10,500, and that Azalea Mortgage is not for every borrow. By this time I did not want anything to do with Azalea Mortgage. I went to a bank, and my rate and closing cost are less than half of what Azalea mortgage wanted. I feel they are unethical, hook you with out giving you any figures, and drag it out, that by the time figures are disclosed, you do not want to start the process all over again. If figures are not disclosed immediately, there is a reason for that. So, RUN the other way.

I had a balance in my vehicle and I asked if they would be placing a lien on the vehicle and the representative stated that I had to finance the car thru them. I asked why. She claimed they were not allowed to put a lien on the vehicle, but was unable to give a valid reason why. I asked if I would be able to pay the vehicle off so that I could get a new vehicle if I chose to. She said yes. I called about 6 months into the loan spoke with a representative who told me that I could pay off the vehicle so that I could get another car and that I would just be responsible for the remaining balance. About 2 weeks ago I called and got the pay off quote for my vehicle. The representative gave me the number of days it was good for and told me that I would have no issues paying the car off in order to get another one. I get to the dealership to find out that One Main refinanced my car for 13,000.00. So now my credit report shows I have a 13,000 car loan which is not true. I tried speaking with the branch manager who was VERY unprofessional and told me that I was lying about being told I could pay off the balance of the vehicle. No one on their right mind would refinance a car they only owed 5 grand on for 13,000.00. This company is dishonest. Take a lawyer with you if you decide to get a loan with One Main.
