My experience has been marred by disconcerting practices, especially concerning financial matters. Right from the start, the admissions process seemed hurried, marked by red flags and dubious advice from advisors like Annette VanRyn, Paula Helbert, Crystal Killingbeck, and Pam Cramblet. Despite raising valid concerns and seeking clarity on various documents, my inquiries were met with evasiveness, and misguidance. Nobody could ever give me a straight answer and every person I spoke with told me something different! Having applied for a Pell Grant and explicitly rejected all loans, it was disheartening to find myself pressured into completing a master promissory note and entrance counseling during the admissions process--actions that contradicted my original intentions. Subsequently, receiving an email from a loan servicing company, indicating a loan set up under my name without consent or authorization, added to my distress. Contacting the financial aid department only deepened my confusion. Initially assured that my award would cover the entire program, I later discovered that this was not the case. The lack of transparency and consistent misinformation have placed an unfair burden on me, leaving me responsible for everything in full-- a scenario I find profoundly unjust. It is disheartening to witness a university mislead a student so badly and subsequently make them bear the financial consequences of the institution's mistakes. Prospective students please approach this institution with caution and awareness of the potential financial pitfalls you may encounter. read more
