this was a cool little music shop in Clermont. While not close to my home, I traveled out here because they are one of the only local G&L Guitar dealers and I wanted to check out a G&L ASAT Special. The place was easy enough to ind - and indeed on the "cornerstone". It's in a cute little area with tons of local finds for stores and food.....as a matter of a fact, I found a fe other places to check out within walking distance while I was around there :) Parking is street side. I was there in the morning on a Saturday and I did not have any trouble finding a place to park, although I can imagine it could possibly get busy and fill up.....I did not explore if there were any additional parking areas nearby. The shop is small for sure, there was one person working in there who was having a conversation with what was clearly a "regular" customer. I looked around for a moment and saw that they had the guitar I wanted to check out. I waited patiently for about 10 minutes as not to interrupt to ask to take it down ....finally the person from the store paused and asked if I wanted to check anything out. He helped me get ti down and we found an amplifier to plug into. Notably, the place does not have a ton of selection in amps. I plugged into a Boss Katana amps which is good enough, but you're out of luck if you want to plug into anything that looks like a Vox, Fender or any comparable tube amp. I played the guitar for a bit to get a vibe of it. That particular guitar was not the one for me, but I appreciated the ability to check it out to determine that. The shop is not solely focused on Guitars or basses as it was clear that they teach student horns and other band or orchestra instruments. I can appreciate a local shop that focuses on the musicality as opposed to just gear. Cool shop to check out if you are in the neighborhood. read more

I had been in CornerStone before, and really appreciated the service and atmosphere, so when I needed a music store for the opening scene in the novella I'm writing, I went over there. They're so nice and helpful! I told them what I was doing, what my character wanted from a guitar, and how much she had to spend. They took time to help me figure out what she would buy, and gave me some details that will help flesh out the story. They did it because they're nice people and they really like musical instruments, not because I was actually buying anything. How cool is that? Anyway, I don't know if I'll ever be in the market for an instrument, but if I am, I know where I'll be shopping. And I know where I'll direct people when I hear that they're looking. read more

What can I say other than this is the best personal friendly knowledgeable couple of guys I know in the business. I remember when I was Bob's store and I thought it was super then, but Pete and Chris have brought it to new heights. I trust their Luthier skills completely. When my only cut away Acoustic Custom made guitar with the wide neck developed a crack in the back I saw visions of disasters ongoing so I went to Chris and asked him if he could get a wide neck cutaway dreadnaught made with good wood. I periodically ask that question anyway. He usually says no, but on this occasion he says yes and walks over to a nice looking guitar and lets me mess with it. I usually spend a minute or two being disappointed because my custom made Agostino Loprenzi sounds and plays like a dream. Five minutes into it I realize I have to have the Guitar, I say how much. I am pleasantly surprised by the price and ask about a case. He has a beautify hard shell case on the Martin look. I play every day and I play on Sunday mostly in church special music. I cannot be without my cutaway. I have 4 Augy's but only one cutaway so this guitar is just the right one at the right time at the right price. A couple months earlier I bought a new Bass from Pete and it is a wonderful instrument. 2020 is a great year so far, and I expect it to end well too. HDB read more

I always make a point of stopping in this cool store when I'm in clairmont visiting my in-laws. I've only bought strings and guitar accessories from them, and they always have what I need or want at reasonable prices. They have a good selection of g&l guitars and a full line of amps from practice to boutique. Knowledgeable staff, too. If I hear of people needing recommendations in the Orlando area I always tell them about Cornerstone. read more

Cornerstone Music has restored my faith in supporting local businesses after having a bad experience in another local music store in the area I live in which you can read about in another review I wrote. Being new to playing music you rely on the support and others in the community and all around you to keep you learning and playing strong and that's exactly what Pete Bonaskiewich and the rest of his staff did and they didn't overcharged me for their services. Pete was honest and even had a sense of humor. Again a music shop that has morals and caring advice and that's what I come to expect from a locally own business as should anyone. If your new to playing an instrument I highly recommend cornerstone music as your place to get supplies, new instruments or even stop in for advice that's what their there for and will do it with charm and humor. I look forward to growing as a new musician and I'm glad I've got a place like cornerstone not only to buy supplies but to seek great advise...
