They had a nice selection of king size headboards and we just so happen to be in need of one. The salesperson was very helpful, answered all of our questions and before we knew it we bought 4 pieces of beautiful Amish made black walnut bedroom furniture. The delivery team gave us the "white glove" treatment and we could not be any happier with the service provided by High Country Furniture.

A friend of ours mentioned that this place was having a huge sale, so we decided to check it out. I…read morewas optimistic (definition one) that maybe we could find an affordable, non-striking couch that would camouflage stains, and optimistic (definition two), because it turned out that my husband thinks that crushing my optimism is enjoyable. It got crushed by the price tags, anyway. Let me tell you about those price tags. I had to ask, because I was confused. On each price tag, the dollar amount was crossed off, but that was it- another, cheaper price was not printed below. To find out the sale price, you had to ask a sales associate. This felt underhanded to us. I found it strange that a table decoration that was essentially a birdhouse was about $120.00. Even assuming that half the price might be slashed off, I still could not afford that price. Nothing in the place was priced reasonably, crossed out or not. When we had first walked in, an employee had told me that everything in the place was going because the whole store was to restocked with new furnishings in a few days. Noticing that the place was jam-packed with furniture as I ambled around, I had questions. There were no empty spaces left behind by bought items. There were no "sold" signs on items. How could the new stuff fit in this place if the old stuff was still present?! The too-quietness of the store added to my nagging state. When I caught up with my husband, I asked how we would make our escape. Days after our escape, I remembered how I had read years ago that furniture stores have pretend liquidation sales in order to bring customers in. If they were just straight up, I would be lying down on a couch that I had purchased from them.

I own a very successful, popular cabin rental in Asheville, NC. When I need a piece of furniture…read moreor an additional touch of "cabiny" decor I head to Davis Home Furnishing in Waynesville. This store is the only reasonably priced "cabin" store in Western NC that I have found. I read the couple of reviews on this site that were very upset by the attitudes of Kim, the owner and the old man. (although I may be older than he is). I could say they both were a little "wonky" lol, but I don't mind a little of that. If you have a cabin or want to dress your modest home to feel like a cabin or just want a momento of your trip to the mountains, this store is a treasure trove. If you have a huge budget there is another store in town with elegant cabin furnishings. Also, if you are looking for cute cups or other souvenir type objects, my favorite place for that is "Affairs of the Heart". All these stores are downtown in Waynesville. I am a firm believer that promoting more than one business that are neighbors is a great idea even if they are in competition with each other. One doesn't thrive in a vacuum. Getting back to Davis, please don't let a little strangeness with customer service keep you from checking out this store. I'm being selfish because I NEED this store and I don't want it to go away.

They were going all out when I was checking their store out. It was after Thanksgiving, so we were there for the yule time. This place has so many things that smell so, so strongly. They've got jars upon jars of potpourri, and scented candles. You could smell this store when the doors opened. They've got a bunch of olive oils, and it looked like they were giving away samples in other times, but not at the moment. They sell lots of soaps, oils, and the like too. The clerks were nonchalant about my roaming around. While visiting North Carolina, my husband and I walked into Moose Crossing's Burl Wood Gallery. I…read morehad know idea prior the amount of craftsmanship and detail that goes into every custom designed piece of burl furniture. A true work of art. Moose Crossings has been in business for 30+ years, owned and operated by by Stephen, Janet and Daniel. We were looking at the coffee tables and although the gallery was busy, Stephen walked us through answering all our questions. Next, Stephen and Daniel worked up a design to fit our space and we inked the purchase. Moose Crossings makes the shipping effortless, packed in a crate with lots of padding. The table arrived as scheduled and perfect. The attention to detail is exquisite. In 2020, we purchased two more pieces to complete the room. All of the designing for the 2nd and 3rd tables were done via phone, email and text. Daniel's vision took our idea from skitch to furniture pieces we will enjoy for years. All three custom pieces are attached here. Before buying any furniture, we highley recommend visting Moose Crossing's Gallery online or in person.
