If you are easily offended or looking for traditional boring readings and scripture - this is not the place for you. They keep it real, entertaining, fun and relatable. Pastor Rick Fry is awesome. The kids program top notch - kids look forward to going. My kids went to youth group every Wednesday, they are 23 and 27 now and they just told us that they learned more from their Wednesday youth pastors than anyone else, because they can relate and know what today's kids are up against. The music...second to none. I'm Catholic, my husband is Christian, we have one girl that's going the catholic route, but loves the Rock, our other daughter is going the Christian route - Catholic masses are too boring for her too and doesn't feed her soul. They also have Women's Groups, Men's Group, Vacation Bible Study for kids in the summer - EPIC; retreats of all sorts and you can't make it in person...zoom in on You-Tube! A+ from The Bates Family

As a retiree, I have been to many churches and have seen a lot of different angles on the word over 55 years. I've been to the church six times I gave it plenty of chances.

Great Christmas message today - accompanied by angelic Christmas Carols…read more It was a back to the basics and very universal for all. I like the most fundamental messages the best. Sometimes its easy to get carried away in the details and miss the point. "I loved the message... I really know a friend who needs to hear that." Pastor Scott mentioned he hears this so often... "So And So really needs to hear this." The whole thing about universal messages are that they are for you and for me and for So And So... and for EVERYBODY. Angelic Christmas Carols this year I think with the help of an affiliate church. Very special and beautiful - as beautiful as the message if you fully understand it. No, no... this year if you were present your not just going to remember the loud, festive and colorful outfit the pastor wore but also the simple but powerful message. For the Valley for the world is the motto. I like that very much. Often its so easy to get hung up with "for myself, for my family." Its a great and constant reminder. I believe Christmas Day and Christmas Eve is a great time to visit this church. There are so many dates and times that something will be sure and fit your schedule.

I'm not a super religious person, but I went to this church this morning to attend a piano recital…read more The first reaction I had was, oh wow, what a beautiful and gorgeous church with an ample amount of space and seating for the attendees, and I especially really loved the high ceilings with plenty of windows allowing the natural sunlight to penetrate into the room. There was also something about the place that really allowed air to circulate making the air constantly move that it felt like it has an AC on! I'm not even kidding. The seats were extremely comfortable since they were all cushioned, and they were clean. This room was connected to a hallway that led to the restrooms, which were really clean and nice as well. I was definitely impressed with how nice this place was kept.

Whoever the gardener is, is a magician.. Mostly native plants left to be themselves- not geometric shapes, thank God and on my next visit I will do the Labryinth. What impressed me about the entire space is that someone or some group of people here care a whole lot. If they give the same care to the congregation that they give to everyone else, it must be a joy to be there. I may have to take my Buddhist self there one day.

St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church

Saint Timothy's Episcopal Church has quite a reformation in the last 5 years. This parish has…read morealways had a global view of God's work in the world. Today the members wrestle with not only those problems and challenges in one's individual life and how to apply the teachings of Jesus in life today but also those issues of social injustice and environment. The Episcopal church helps members learn about how God loves all people and to see God's love in the eyes of others. The teachings of this faith expression are based upon scripture, tradition, and reason. Faith requires actions in the world and benevolent actions also create Faith. The church has Liturgically based services and scripture readings follow selections from the revised common lectionary. Liturgy is viewed as a corporate acting out of Faith with others. The main 10:00AM Sunday service includes a full choir with a mix of both contemporary and traditional music. The 8:30AM Sunday service is very traditional Episcopal and quite contemplative with just a organ music at the opening processional and gospel. On Wednesday morning there is a 10:30AM service with no music. The smallness of the Wednesday service produces an intimate setting and there is no sermon per se but an open discussion of the following Sunday readings. Sermons on Sunday frequently present projected art work, and contemporary sayings to support explanation of the daily scripture. This helps make scripture become relevant to daily life. An example might be, "Sin. Is not where people are weak and struggling but when they're strong and not trying. For Jesus, sin is a failure to bother to love." By Jim Keenan. The parish participates in many outreach activities by both hands on events and fundraising. Youth are encouraged to go on a mission trip to impoverished areas of the county and experience life in another community. Small groups are a developing area where parish members can get together and invite others outside of the parish to enjoy comradely In things like hiking, bocce, writing, etc. There is a bible study group following the Wednesday service. During the year special study activities in both small groups and larger groups are available. If you are thinking exploring your spiritual side try Saint Timothy's. Also you can contact me and I will help you as much as I can to introduce you to Saint Timothy's.
