Not the fastest service but not too bad. Then you have to pay at the gas station side after you eat. I found the brisket to be very good but it did not have a smoke flavor which was disappointing. The sausage was good. The coleslaw a bit too sweet for me. My total was $12 for not bad at all for bar b q. The staff even figured out it was cheaper for me to pay for the 2 meat plate and get a side than just meat Alavert. Very nice of them. Overall there are limited places for lunch in Stockdale and I would eat here again. Will try a few other places and review next month when I am back.

It was hard deciding on the two sides, everything looked delicious! The corn on cob & green beans was a good choice.. fresh & tasty. I was impressed with the quality of the food, especially for a gas station restaurant. Besides the great presentation of the steam table, the menu offers lots of scratch made options. Even the onion & pickles are freshly sliced...no pre-sliced pickles out of jar here. The dining area is on one side of the convenience side of the store. Spacious & adequate seating available. I liked the fountain drink choices, including sweet & unsweetened tea. I noticed lots of customers buying tacos in large quantities. I was informed by the restaurant staff that all the tacos are homemade, even the tortillas. I will definitely consider the tacos next time. I would definitely rate this as my best dining experience at a convenience store restaurant. I would never have imagined such high standards. The friendly staff left a lasting impression.
