REVIEW OF PHOTO DEPARTMENT Traditionally, I never have any…read moreissues at this particular Walgreens. However, I recently utilized their photo department to order photo enlargements and was disappointed with my experience. I ordered a handful of 4x6 and 8x10 photos to this specific Walgreens via online. When I arrived to pick them up, I was greeted by two employees before heading to the photo desk. Upon looking over my prints, 2 of my 4 8x10 prints were missing and many of my 4x6 prints had streaking in the middle of the images, which I know was not on the original photos themselves (see photos). When I asked about my missing prints, the associate found they had printed, just not been placed with my order. As for the 4x6 prints, she took my prints and appeared to reprint them but the streaks were still noticeable. She did not offer to clean the machine then reprint my images or offer a discount/refund for my streaky images. It appeared she was not familiar with the photo department's equipment. I will not be sending my photos enlargements to this Walgreens in the future.

I have to admit, I'm a little biased in my opinion of this store because my wife works there, so I…read morethought I'd get that bit out of the way first. Even without that, I have to say I've grown to love the concept of the neighborhood markets. When I first started using the pharmacy, I was afraid it would be a lot like using the pharmacies at the super centers where there are hundreds of people that seem to be sitting or standing around waiting for their medications to be filled, and you just don't get a sense of it being a personable experience. Thankfully that isn't a problem at the neighborhood markets. The stores are small enough that you can get personable service from the pharmacy techs and pharmacist without feeling you are being rushed due to them being busy with other customers. The store itself contains many of the food items you'd expect to see in a grocery store. They have a meat department, deli, dairy, pharmacy and of course a wide array of food choices, both fresh, refrigerated or frozen. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and they will price match any advertised price, but it has to be an exact match in brand, size and the same limitations apply on how many you would have been allowed to purchase at the other store that your ad was from. Also, in order to qualify for a price match, there must actually be a store for the ad actually in the area. There are times people come in with circulars with prices for stores that are only available in Kansas City or St Louis, or somewhere else way outside of our region, so obviously they cannot price match on those items. if you need to go out shopping and don't want the hassle of finding a parking spot, or having to wade through clothing and other departments to get to the stuff you actually need, then the Neighborhood Markets may be a good alternative for you. I know that Walmart has a bad reputation in a lot of areas because they close down mom and pop type stores, but they also bring in more jobs to the area that are quite often higher paying than the jobs that existed at the mom and pop stores.

It seem there is some kickback going on to only be able to use Walgreens. Also I now have to pay Walgreen some addition cost even though I have both Medicare AND Tricare and still have to pay more. How is that possible for two insurance companies for common prescription medications. I never had any additional cost at Walmart or Sam's or anywhere else. And on top to have to put up with the rude people. I have lived in Missouri retiring for 14 years and especially have not run into anyone here rude. It seems that this Bolivar Walgreens has gone out of their way to hire or allow this level of rudeness. I am speaking most of what I observed in several customers while waiting for my own prescription. I am generous with two stars.
