The decor is all pretty dated but I actually expect that in bowling places, just the same as I would at a dive bar. It was fun bowling with my family! We all found balls for ourselves, enjoying the process of wandering the alley, picking up balls until we each had the right ones. There was a mix of adults and kids and everyone found what they were looking for. Aside from our group, the lanes were really busy with the leagues in town who all gave off a kind of hardcore bowling but relaxing in the man's club vibe. The most shockingly awesome thing about this place was the food. You ever just have an unexpectedly godly burger? That happened to me here! I thought I'd be getting regular greasy spoon but then I bit into the most perfectly toasted, slightly crispy bun with soft burger and cheese. I mean, damn. Totally normal but the texture blasted me! Aside from that food was cheap and fast, served in baskets, again what you'd expect. There are other places in the area but if you don't feel like driving over to Cortland then Hi-Lanes will suit you just fine.

I checked their website for tee times, and EVERY time was available from 8-4, so I banked on us getting through our round pretty quickly which ended up being the case. It was cool, but not cold and calm and quiet, really nice. Like others have stated, cart paths need work, and some of the signs on the holes look like Halloween decorations.Some of the tee boxes are weird, some are muddy, some are not entirely flat, but the layout is pretty good and the greens were in great shape, especially for it being late October. The veiws with foliage are spectacular, and $32 for 18 with a cart on a weekend is what kicked it up to 4 stars for me.

The signage needs updating. we had a difficult time navigating the course. Some of the tee boxes are in complete shambles. You'd need a hammer to put your tee into the ground. The cart paths are disastrous and borderline dangerous, tree roots, rocks, uneven and uncomfortable to drive on. It was slow that day so we didn't have anyone pushing us but we did have to wait for a foursome of kids with very foul mouths. Some beautiful scenery for sure. The money we spent there was very high for the conditions we endured. we like to try different courses and I can say honestly we won't be returning to Fillmore Glen anytime soon. This isn't a large park, and it's a bit tucked away and mostly frequented by Lansing residents…read more There are times when it can feel VERY crowded given the size. Everything in the park is mainly around a little driving loop. Myers Park includes 19 available camping sites with each having electric and water hookups. For camping, the nightly fee is $36 for Lansing Residents and $40 a night for Non-Residents. For just generally visiting the park, admission to the park is free for Town of Lansing residents (with ID). Nonresidents are charged $6 per car. Since it's a Lansing park, and not a NYS park, NYS Empire Passes aren't able to get you access. Myers Park does take credit cards as a form of payment though (along with cash, obviously). There is a decently sized playground for kids (which you can see on the Facebook, here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Sports---Recreation-Venue/Myers-Park-Playground-Project-MP3-433430860214/), boat launch, various picnic tables, and beach-y type areas to go into the water (it's not especially sandy... small rocks/gravel-type, mainly). Paddle-N-More is also located within the park if you want to rent canoes or kayaks (though not sure if they're currently renting anything out because of COVID - so check before you go if that's something you're looking for!). TL;DR I've been pleeenty of times over the years because I had family that lived in Lansing. Would I regularly pay the $6 per car now to get into this park? No. (I already have an Empire Pass and prefer to ensure I get my money's worth out of it.) But if it's a nice day, you want to rent a kayak or something, and it's not too crowded? Myers Park is a nice enough spot.

We are always looking for new parks to visit, and I was so excited to visit this one based on a…read morefriends recommendation. The amazing part of this park that really makes it the go-to spot on hot summer days is the fun splash pad, my toddler loved it! There is a decent sized pool area that is fenced in away from the splash pad (so no fear of them wandering there), the bathroom was clean; there are lots of benches and picnic tables, mostly in the shade. They do have locker rooms for changing but we didn't use those. There's a huge field in between the splash pad and the playground, which is definitely updated and had a lot of typical playground equipment. Everything was neat and clean, there was a kids soccer practice happening in part of the field. The splash pad was so refreshing, even for myself to cool down. Nothing is worse than chasing a toddler around at a park while you are melting to death, so this was a nice little cool down from the usual adventures! I do wish the playground was in the shade but definitely doesn't take away from the overall 5 star rating :) We will return!!
