This is my favorite CorePower location in San Diego (my favorite athletic yoga place too) . There are two studios and lots of times available from 5:45 am to 8:30 PM! CorePower is great for people who work long or odd hours since the operation times are flexible! FREE community classes 11:00 am on Sundays. Locker rooms and showers too! I would say CorePower is better for people that have some foundation and training with traditional yoga. The classes can be very big here and packed. So if you're starting out and assistance with form, start with a restore class or level 1 class and check on YouTube for some yoga basics. My favorite classes are the hot heated yoga classes and restore classes. Parking: North Park parking sucks, come early to find parking or use the parking structure for $1 per hour. They have LIMITED validation for the parking structure for the month and validation is not guaranteed. read more

Clean facilities, most of the instructors are super friendly and helpful. Being my first time, they were extra helpful and made sure I was okay and didn't injure myself. Great experience, can't wait to go back! read more

Carra J is absolutely incredible. My best friend and I were traveling from out of town and decided to pick up her class on a whim. When we showed up, we were the only people in class and Carra went above and beyond to make it a special experience for us. She was mindful of substitutions and met us where we were at. It meant a lot to us as we are not as as advanced as the standard yogi. Being a new mom postpartum... I rarely get time to myself, and this was already going to be a treat for me. However, I didn't anticipate how wonderful the class would be. The playlist was amazing and included the instrumental version of the life of a showgirl. One of my favorite albums at the moment! Also, she did hands-on adjustments and showed me how to use blocks to better support my at home practice. I wish I lived local so I could go to her class every week. She is absolutely incredible and you will not be disappointed. Also, she has a very kind face! read more

Finding parking in North Park is treacherous. After scavenging for parking and getting in 5 minutes late I was pushed..yes I repeat PUSHED by instructor Toosdhi while opening the door into the class and told "it's too late" while the door was being slammed in my face. I would have been okay with just doing child pose the whole class. Being pushed is what really threw me off. Do not recommend. I would leave 0 stars if I could. read more

Amazing location. Cliffs Hot Yoga classes are the best hot yoga classes I have ever attended. People are nice generally and this studio has such a friendly homey vibe to it. Love it read more

Sweat it out with yoga moves and weights.. love the concept of the classes especially sculpt. This location is convenient to me and I roll out of bed to make it to their 6am classes. Most of the instructors are energized, have great music and can cue properly while leading the class (most importantly). Some of my favorite instructors are Taylor- beast mode, Juan- fun and playful makes working out fun, Meli- inspiring, Adam- thorough instructor and moves fast you forget your working out, Ashley- all around well balanced and love her music and her routines (she gets creative) and Ivy- pushes you to your limits and great upbeat music. This location has only 1 classroom so they are limited on the classes they offer but they do a pretty good job, just wish they had more variety like a C3 or place more special classes on the schedule. Also, they can do a better job cleaning the bathroom, sometimes it smells really bad. I would also love it if they added yoga mat cubbies so regulars can leave their mats at the studio. read more

Unfortunately Claire L at North Park CorePower was incredibly unkind. In a place you hope to go to better yourself with your community, the staff should promote a positive experience. She had a negative attitude and was quite snarky. I'm hoping she's doing okay ultimately and can work through whatever she is going through. As someone that has practiced Hot Yoga for many years and has practiced with many different instructors/studios, it's important to uphold a positive energy especially when you're the one teaching. Of course, this is a corporate yoga setting so maybe the standards are lower. read more

I came here as apart of a "yoga date". I had never been here before and did not quite know the area. When I arrived I realized parking was slightly tricky. After sorting that out I was inside and got registered. Registration was an easy process and the host, who was also the next class i was taking facilitator was very clear about the policies and the class. The class itself was a typical yoga flow class. The room was not heated, but it was not cooled either. I turned into a sweaty mess! I was tired and hot but I was into my date being into yoga and inviting me so it was all good and I had got really stretched and calm I signed up for a 1 week trial but unfortunately was not able to make it after that day. I thought it would auto renew or something so I called to cancel it. to my surprise there was no auto renew which made me respect the company a ton. I would drop back in for sure! read more

North Park CPY has Christmas-time game. Came here on a Sunday morning with my first-timer friend, and I was immediately blown away by their seating area and FIREPLACE. What. I'm mainly a Bay Area CPY-er, and I hold high standards for cleanliness, teachers, and service because I'm spoiled by all of the studios we have in Northern CA. This location was the second CPY studio I've been to in SD (the other one being in PB), and I totally liked this one better. The studio looks and smells clean, bathrooms aren't grimey, and studio was expansive and didn't smell like sweat. My shower experience was great, and there is a tall shelf that has all of the hair care (hair dryer) and all that good stuff neatly put away. My first timer friend had such a blast and instantly got hooked! We had Amy P as our smiley and bright 9AM C1.5 instructor. Her sunny aura was well-received by the both of us. It seems like all SD CPY studios are popular, but this location didn't seem overwhelming or feel crowded. We got lucky and snagged street parking right in front of the studio (1 hour), but general parking seems to be difficult unless you're taking an early morning class. I would totally come back to this studio for the cleanliness, efficiency of checking in, and great studio experience. read more

Prices just went up!!! Again!!!! Watch out people, the staff here just wants your $$$. They're real nice to your face, but their intentions are to steal every last penny from your bank account. Read on for more... a review I wrote back in 2015. Just the thought of all the hot, young men glistening with sweat makes my ovaries quiver. I bet people would pay good money to watch a live, streaming web cam video of the men's locker rooms. I'm getting moist just thinking about it. Great studio.... Extremely clean Awesome instructors... Very friendly I just wish the parking situation was better here. But it keeps the crowds away, so I should be happy this place isn't crawling with the lululemon skanks from the other studios. Namaste, bitches! read more

I gotta say, after trying a couple CP studios, this one is certainly my favorite. With two classrooms inside the space, there's a ton more classes to pick from. The locker room is nice and clean, too, unlike my local 24-hour fitness. Obviously there's a lot of Lulumon-wearing hipsters practicing their yoga skills here, but no one gets in anybody's way. The teachers here are nice, and yet again I find myself wishing I could afford this zen, excessive weight loss form of exercise. read more

I can appreciate CorePower for what it is- aerobics/cardio- but it is not yoga. Yes they do some yoga poses but it isn't true yoga and that's ok if that's what you're looking for. The studios are clean and I found the front desk and instructors to be really nice. I enjoyed the classes for what they were. The yoga sculpt class gave me a killer workout and the C2 class had a nice flow sequence. People who have complained about the parking, well it is North Park, so yes, parking will be hard, but it isn't impossible. Go south of University and you will have an easier time. read more

CorePower Yoga - North Park - Yoga!!! - Yoga Near Me - San Diego, California

Similar to other Corepower locations in the layout and ambience. One of the studios seems smaller than others I've been in. It's located in the central area of North Park. Instructors are nice. Bathrooms are clean. The only downside would be the parking situation, so if you don't live in North Park, I'd add additional time to find parking. I can only imagine how hard it would be trying to find parking after 4pm around here. read more

Amazing. I'm doing a free week here and am seriously considering investing in a black tag membership. The only downside to this particular location is the parking. read more

I absolutely love CorePower Yoga. You get a free week. For those who didn't know, now you know. GET ON IT. I did my free week at this studio and I was such an amazing week! This studio does not have the best parking situation though. They do have a parking lot, but it's in an alley and it's very small. It's also about $2 to park. I usually do the street parking, but since parking can be hard to find in this area I've circled the block around three times before I found my parking spot. The instructors are sweet and all very helpful! All the classes that are not C1 are heated, so you'll be sweating. Every day for the whole week I came out DRENCHED in sweat. It's an amazing experience with CorePower and I recommend for EVERYONE to try the free week at LEAST! read more

I absolutely love this studio! I love that it's close to me too. I initially signed up for the free week and I tried the sculpt class. I fell in love with this class! It's a heated class and you really get a great workout! I feel the soreness the next days and it makes me feel good. The class helps me distress and now that I've been taking this class on a regular I have seen results little by little. I def. See improvements on my body and it's helped with my health overall. I love taking Jacinda's and Victoria's sculpt classes. I've tried other instructors too and they are all great as well, they each have different styles. After the free week trial I actually ended up getting a Groupon deal they had for one month unlimited. And I probably go to the studio at least 5 times a week! It's become very addictive! Im sure I will continue to be a member or CorePower and continue to take their classes! read more

Thank you So much to continuing to bring the beauty of yoga into my home! It's wonderful to be able to experience the essence of community virtually whether via zoom rooms or the OnDemand app. I love developing new familiarity and relationships with teachers across the US, being able to have CorePower playlists from my phone and the ease of anytime practice. And I love being able to practice with my pets, it adds so much lightness and laughter! Thank you for continuing to help this healthcare worked take care of my own body. read more

This studio is great if you're looking for a place to eat or grab a juice/smoothie after your session. There's vegan/vegetarian Asian and Mexican food right next door to the right and, if it's part of your practice, a few bars to check out a few doors to your left outside the studio. Not to mention the number of restaurants up and down University avenue. The instructors here are amazing, dedicated to their practice and teaching, and are always polite when you come to class. I hardly check out any mats as I bring my own, but the towels I get are always clean (I've actually only ever had issues of less then clean towels at the Mission Valley studio). The men's facilities are pretty clean, though the space is definitely on the small side (the ((only)) urinal is literally right behind a locker, with the hand dryer in between that --very close quarters). The only issue with this location would probably be parking. They do have a lot behind their studio that you can park in (for a dollar), but other than that it's the wild wild West when you're hunting either on the street or in the residential area. Not a huge deal, I do enjoy the walk, but if you're ever running late and not getting any luck there's always the parking structure just off of 30th near the Union bank. read more

CorePower Yoga - North Park - If you're a black tag member these places offer discounts throughout North park. - Yoga Near Me - San Diego, California

This is my favorite CorePower location. First of all, parking is not great. That's just North Park for you. Beyond that, the studio is really well laid out and super well maintained. They offer a full schedule with really wonderful and attentive instructors. I am not a person who does yoga. Like not even enough to say I do it occasionally--I've done it twice in my life at this point. Both times were this week (shoutout to the free week--thanks CP!). I do Pilates though, so I felt like I wasn't too much a fish out of water during C2. I did NOT know the yoga terms like at all, but was able to look to my neighbors and eventually figured it out. The flows in C2 are incredible and I love them. The heat was cleansing and there was something about it to be embraced, and I was never so sweaty in my life and I am not mad about it. I will probably not understand the appeal of the heat for its practical reasons, but I did like it. To bring: yoga mat (you can borrow one for your first time, then it's $2 to rent), a towel (apparently yoga towels are a thing but a regular one should be fine), and clothes you can move in and sweat in. It's not high impact, so you don't' have to wear anything too supportive. People seem to prefer pants over shorts and I assume it's because 1) yoga pants are the world's most comfortable piece of clothing, and 2) it keeps the sweat from dripping down your legs (essentially becoming just full of sweat, but what are you gonna do). I did it in shorts, though, and was a happy camper. To expect: This depends on what class you take, but people keep to themselves and respect the quietness. The mindfulness aspect here is wonderful! Be courteous and respectful of space and sound and you're good to go. Get to practicing your work and it should be a good time! Any fitness level should be fine, but I hear for brand new people maybe trying C1.5 or C1 is an easier introduction. That being said, I am all about C2. CP NP, well done. You're a lovely studio with great offerings and wonderful instruction. It is pricey (out of my price range, unfortunately), but if you're set on yoga as a continuous practice, this is the place to do it! read more

I've been coming here for years. It is by far the cleanliest (looks, feels, and smells) of the Corepower studios that I've been to (all south of the 52). Parking can be a hassle. I love, love, love their HPF candlelight classes. read more

I gave this studio two shots, and sadly was disappointed both times. Both practice rooms (studio 1 and 2) were incredibly dirty. In fact, studio 1 has some sort of brown liquid that looks like it's been dripping down the walls for quite awhile now. While the instructors were great, I can't get past how dirty the studios were. As a franchise, corepower should invest in infrastructure and abide by the niyama of saucha. read more

I am giving a 5 star because I love Core Power and I would never give something a low-star because of a personal opinion. My only issue with this particular location is parking. I usually frequent the Clairemont Mesa location, but tonight the only time I could go (7pm) was only available at north park or UTC, and I chose north park regrettably for my circumstance. I got there 30 minutes in advance and legitimately drove all over, close enough where a walk would be attainable time-wise, and could not find a single parking spot anywhere! And by the time I checked the clock is was 7:05 and I ended up driving back home. Don't get me wrong, tonight is Friday night and it's NORTH PARK, of course parking would be difficult. However, I do with Corepower would consider relocating this particular studio to a different spot in North Park where they could offer at least a humble parking lot. Even if I were to find parking, there's another aspect that worries me. The majority of Corepower members appear to be women; and as for myself, I usually go alone. Having to walk extremely far (alone) to the studio and then back to my car (alone) where I would park if I had parked a mile away, sounds a little scary. At Clairemont Mesa I feel safer knowing that I have a ten foot walk to my car from the studio. Wow this was long, I'm sorry. All in all, I love core power yoga and I'm sure this location has amazing teachers and all! If you read all the way through thank you read more

Ugh, HEALTH, am I right? I don't get this recent trend of people being super into "eating clean" and HITTIN DA GYM. I mean, to each her own, I guess, but whenever I see one of my friends on social media uploading photos of themselves at Crossfit at 5am, followed by a "cheat meal" of chicken breast and uncooked quinoa, it blows my mind. If that is considered a "cheat meal" then me and my health are in an OPEN RELATIONSHIP and I am just opening my mouth ALL OVER TOWN. To give you an idea of my diet, I trained for a marathon last year and GAINED WEIGHT. And working out? EVEN WORSE. If our ancestors could see us at the gym they would think their descendants had all been sent to a prison where inmates are forced to lift heavy objects while listening to Skrillex. As you may have gathered, I am NOT IN SHAPE. I'm rockin' a pretty solid spare tire, my butt is unseasonably doughy, and catching me at the wrong angle in a photograph yields HITCHCOCK-LEVEL JOWLS. Not cute. On a 5'3 frame, even a couple extra LBs is apparent, let alone a couple dozen. Over the past decade, as my metabolism has slowed, I've really put on enough weight to make me feel insecure and uncomfortable in my skin, which is a real bummer as a lady. So, since I'm getting married next year, and 12 months is roughly the time I expect it to take to lose 15 pounds, I got myself a membership at Corepower. I'd taken a few classes at the Hillcrest location back in the day, but the NP spot is super close to my house, so I hoped the steep price would guilt me into showing up a few days a week (despite the fact that losing money has never, EVER stopped me from being a lazy piece of garbage). SHOCKER -- Corepower has mastered the unthinkable: making me a fitness fanatic. I've been going 3 - 5 times a week, and even am starting to feel an "incompleteness" when I miss a class. The sweaty, strong, and totally-spent feeling I get walking out makes me want to eat healthier, and helps me sleep better and wake with more energy. Plus, even though I highly doubted the "spiritual" aspects of chain-studio yoga, I genuinely feel more at peace, calmer, and more patient with myself and others -- something I'm sure benefits my health and relationships. Fave teachers: Liz LV, Monica H, Whitney W, and Laurel. Every class I've taken has been nice, but those ladies' friendly smiles, intense flows, and calm moods make me truly excited to get to practice, even if I do have a moment about 3 minutes into every class where I wish I'd stopped a block earlier and just devoured three slices of Sicilian Thing pizza instead. Thanks, CPNP, for making me a person who enjoys something that is good for my health. Pat yourselves on the backs because YOU TRULY ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING INCREDIBLE. (I do admit, I feel like the studio can be a little clique-y sometimes, just a little? So many people know each other that being an introvert can make you feel a little invisible. FLASHBACKS OF HIGH SCHOOL. No biggie though - I like my hour of solitude.) read more

I am not at all a yogi. I've taken yoga classes before, but I cannot twist myself into a pretzel without the help of a chiropractor, nor can I put my left leg behind my head while touching my nose to my right knee. My work husband has been telling me about this place for a month now so I finally gave in and joined him at a class. What a beautiful gym, and yet not at all pretentious. How does that happen? The entire place is white glove clean. Finally, a yoga studio that realizes that I fear foot fungus. I thought for sure the studio itself would reek, but I was pleasantly surprised...it didn't (until the end of the class) I took my first hot yoga class yesterday with Bryan who was very welcoming and obviously has a great sense of humor. He recommended that even if I don't feel like I can go on that I lay down in the room and rest because I'd still feel great in the end. "We heat up the room to 212 degrees. That's why you bring in water." Ahhh...a test of my Chemistry 101 knowledge too! The room is actually heated to about 100 degrees with humidity, so basically New Jersey summer without the exhaust stench. NBD. LOVED the class. Bryan managed to teach it without being at all preachy. There was no praying for world peace, no "you're doing it wrong", no ridiculous banter, just a bit of helpful motivation here and there. All options were demonstrated; beginner to advanced levels, and everyone walked out with a smile. One thing I learned is that if I wear any sort of makeup that day, I really need to wash my face before the next class. I was smiling when I walked out, but with the pools of mascara under my eyes I looked like I'd just walked off the set of a Bon Jovi video, circa 1986. read more

I loved the CorePower Yoga 1.5 class that I tried yesterday while on vacation. It was only 60 minutes but the work-out was still tough and the instructor (Julie was great). I also loved her music selection - more pop slow remixes rather than traditional yoga music. The studio is very clean and pretty and I'd the well-equipped clean locker room made showering there very appealing. If you're a San Diego resident, you can enjoy a free week of classes at the San Diego studios. Without being eligible for the free week, my class was $22 including the class ($19), mat (free since my first time), towel ($1), and water ($2). My favorite yoga studio, hands down! I have been a member of CorePower for almost two years now, and every class is always a challenging workout. My favorite class to go to is Sculpt Yoga (especially at 6:30PM weekdays with Dannie, Amelie, or Whitney). Sculpt is one of the toughest classes I have done at CorePower, but each teacher brings a new variety and spice to each class, so I'm never bored. The playlists are typically great too - nothing like some 60s-70s-80s remixed hits to get you pumped up and ready to do 20 jump squats! Although some argue Sculpt isn't "yoga", CorePower offers plenty of other options in the way of flow and hot yoga classes. There's something for everyone. The North Park studio really feels like a community affair. I know that they often organize walkabouts around North Park, as well as always having some kind of breakfast bars to nosh on or fresh lemons picked from someone's garden by the front desk area. Even though there are many CorePower studios around San Diego, I appreciate still feeling an intimate, small-town, private studio vibe. Get a week free, try it out, and see what you think. It's worth a try,.. and if you like it, I know they have student and teacher discounts that make the price of membership more affordable! read more

CorePower has a lot of nice aspects but they lack the spiritual focus that makes yoga so special. Beautiful lobby, nice locker rooms, and they've got a big studio area. Which is a good thing because they offer a FREE week, so now even the crazy vagrants of North Park can practice yoga. Kidding, sort of. Honestly I got pretty turned off by the first class. I did their intro to power yoga. I had a peppy blonde instructor who apparently was a couple months pregnant. She made for a great workout but I suspect she's an exercise instructor that treats yoga as a side gig. She kept yelling for people to "PUSH IT!" and at one point said, "Come on, I'm pregnant and I can do this!" Uhhh, seriously? Am I in a 24 hour fitness class or a yoga studio? I've been practicing for like, two months and I already know that what she's saying is dangerous and completely at odds with the fundamental concept of yoga. You get what you pay for I suppose. Luckily I had the lovely Kim for my next two power yoga classes. She's a great instructor and definitely more tuned in with the holistic benefits of a yoga class. read more

I started coming to CorePower in March; my best friend had a membership and I signed up for a month with a Groupon. I have been addicted ever since. CorePower has classes for every skill level with a great mix of cardio and strengthening poses. They fuse traditional yoga and modern techniques for an excellent full-body workout. It is true that this is not traditional yoga. In my opinion, the instructors do a great job of teaching breathing techniques and meditation, but they do not go to the extent that traditional yoga does. Just keep that in mind if you're looking for a more traditional place. I actually like the CorePower method better, and I have experienced countless benefits from regularly attending their CP2 and Hot Yoga classes, including relief from insomnia and greatly reduced knee/joint pain. Hot Yoga is my favorite class because it moves at a slower pace than the other classes, so I'm able to work on my poses and I get great tips from the instructors. Bryan and January are my favorites! read more

Great classes if you want to get a killer work out - TABU is amazing and tough. Really pushes you in his Sculpt class which I love. I only give 3 stars because of the lack of security. BRING A LOCK AND LOCK YOUR PURSE!! There have been thefts there and no one is helping to make members aware of the issue. Just because its yoga, doesn't mean people that go there are not shady. read more

If you are into hardcore workouts and are looking to get a good sweat, come to CorePower in North Park. This and Clairemont are one of the better CPs out there. If you want to advance in your physical yoga practice, however, go to an independently-owned, private studio. My experience here has been okay, but after several disappointing classes here (including my free birthday pass), I've stopped going all-together. Too many inexperienced teachers don't know how to teach proper alignment; CorePower focuses way too much on getting people to spend a couple grand on their teacher training, despite many teacher trainees only having a few months to a year of consistent yoga practice, if that. Most other studios recommend at least one or two years of consistent yoga practice and say so on their guidelines for their Teacher Trainings. I know yoga isn't about the physical asana, but I feel that CorePower only brushes very lightly on the spiritual aspect of yoga. Unfortunately, spirituality doesn't sell; guaranteeing a hot yoga body does. Even when I went to CorePower for the physical aspect of it, I either came out nauseous (due to excessive heat), very unchallenged (because advanced postures are never offered), or both. The most advanced inversions you'll learn at CorePower are usually headstands and a couple crow/koundinyasana variations. I *did* have one teacher offer handstands and forearm balance, which was cool but he wasn't at this studio (lol) and had much more experience than 90 percent of the certified instructors here. Even then, I think there are harder postures than handstands in yoga (try getting your foot behind your head and doing an arm balance on top of that), but learning those will never happen here. For the most part, people are generally nice but keep in mind you're at a studio full of gym rats, so a couple do have competitive edge to them (including some teachers...ahem). I haven't come across anyone mean, though; I think this CorePower has a better vibe than some of the others I've been to (i.e., Hillcrest and PB). CorePower membership in general is pricey as it is, but they usually offer Groupons for anyone who is interested in getting a better discount. If you want something that is a little more upscale than the standard gym, definitely go to CorePower. I still think that a private studio is better than practicing at a corporate franchise, but if you insist on having corporate yoga, I'd pick YogaSix (or YogaWorks if you're in the OC, LA, or Bay area) over this. read more

The studio and instructors were both great, and I enjoyed the various classes I tried during my free week at CorePower. Classes feel dynamic with music playing, and the instructors keep you focused and motivated. The reason I am giving this place only three stars is because it really feels like a chain. It lacks a kind of authentic feeling that other studios offer, and to be honest the monthly rates are outrageous. I have been practicing yoga on my own for years, and resent when studios charge an arm and a leg for yoga. The crowd that attends this studio is very "lululemon", and not extremely friendly. Aside from the instructors, there really isn't much sense of a yoga community. It really just feels like a trendy yoga chain. There are various more affordable ways to practice and learn yoga. Unfortunately CorePower was not what I was looking for. read more

Just moved to North Park and have been trying to find the time for YOGA! Lots of cute studios in North/South Park, but I wanted to try CorePower because I am used to a power/asthanga yoga practice and thought they might hit the mark for me. I was worried about snobby staff, teachers who may be too fresh out of training, etc... typical worries for me when I take a class. Sasha was at the desk when I walked in and was amazingly friendly and encouraging. I haven't taken a single class in months, but wanted to jump right in and she was really supportive and told me to take her class and just feel it out. I took her 7:15am Yoga Sculpt class (yoga with hand weights, crazy!) and it was exactly what I needed. The weights added a lot to the class without taking away from the yoga experience I was looking for. It definitely kicked my ass and I had to do some of the class without weights, but no one in the class cared and Sasha was upbeat and made it easier for me to make it to the end! The other students definitely gave me motivation to make this a regular routine- super toned and magnificent endurance. I will definitely enjoy the free week this week. I am looking forward to trying different classes and teachers. I just love North Park and the location of the studio is perfect. So glad I decided to try it. Hope I can stick with it! Ok one more note: so annoying when people say that power yoga, etc goes against what yoga stands for, the ancient history of yoga, blah blah. We live in the west, we practice western yoga- it's okay. I don't think CorePower tries to come off as some spiritual place to come learn the exact ancient art of yoga roots. It's a variation and they take the wonderful postures and words of original yoga and make them accessible to people looking for something different. I enjoy the workout I get AND the connection I feel to my breath and spirituality, thank you very much. I'll get off my soapbox now. read more

My girlfriends and I decided to try out Yoga and CPY was our first choice. We wanted to try this studio out because it had great reviews and we were looking for a studio that offered a free class especially for beginners. Gladly, this studio offered 1 free week! I've never done yoga before, but I've always wanted to try it. Honestly I've always thought that you'd have to be really flexible lol. I'm always doing stretches so it's not a problem for me, but if your concern is about flexibility, don't even worry about it! We were looking for beginner classes and found one but showed up late because of parking. I know the reviews said that there's a parking structure around the corner, but we didn't take advantage of that haha maybe next time. We made it to the next available class though, which was C2 and it wasn't bad for our first time. Our instructor Alyssa - whom also checked us in - was really informative and friendly, I enjoyed her class! I also really love the ladies room. I love how everyone is respectable of each other's belongings. It's also very clean in there and I love how they provide deodorant spray, tampons, Q-Tips, shampoo, etc. I will definitely be coming back! read more

I love Corepower. The studio is well-kept, the instructors great, and the price pretty decent for what you get. The instructors are super friendly and helpful if you ever have questions. It's in a no-pressure environment so you don't feel self conscious while in class. I've been practicing yoga off and on for about 6 or 7 years but this is the first studio that I've actually been going on a regular basis. For about 2 1/2 months I've been attending pretty consistently and I can already see some major changes in my body. I had never done hot yoga before checking out Corepower. They do a great job of introducing it to the newbies (like myself) in the CP1.5 class. Now I'm hooked on CP2 and it's the only one I go to. It's a Vinyasa flow type class so things move quickly enough so that you don't get bored. Some of my favorite instructors are Kai, January, Whitney S, and Chantelle. read more

Normally I stay away from "chain" spots but Corepower is a "chain" that I can get behind. They are definitely successful at what they do and the North Park studio is my favorite by far. The studio is extremely clean, the classes are scheduled at times you can actually make no matter what your schedule is, there is a good range of difficulty for someone who is just starting out or super advanced, the teachers are the best (like Laurel and Viktoria!) and it's just an all around great experience. The membership was the smartest way to go and their discounted rates for military, teachers, and students definitely make it worth stopping in for. Corepower has seduced me into wanting to work out (something I always dreaded before) and really renews your spirits after a class. read more

Yoga. Everyone should try it at least once. It was a game changer for me and really took my life to another level. You see before yoga I was stressed about work, and other things going on in my life. I lost focus, and track of time. Although, corepower yoga and yoga itself has really changed my perception. It has given me more drive, and a better perception of life in general. Apart from yoga being awesome, the team at CorePower yoga does it right. I was new comer. All of us are at one point but I wasn't marginalized for being new they embraced me and helped me out. Thanks for accepting me in your yoga family and I will continue coming here that's for sure. Do some yoga, take some stress out of your life. Try it, I'm sure you'll love it. Namaste read more
