Located in the USC village, this studio is small compared to the other CPY STUDIOS. Women's changing room offers cubby size lockers and locks for your personals. There is only 2 bathroom stalls and 1 shower so expect to wait if the class is full and everyone decides to shower after. As in all CPY studios they have a retail section for all your yoga needs. Mat and towel rental is available for those who forgot their mat or on the fence about committing to yoga. I took an HPF Class midday and was happy with the yoga flow and heat. Parking is easy and free for 2 hours in the parking garage. read more

CorePower Yoga - USC Village - Entrance - Yoga Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Class is good. The shower is disgusting. There's only one. 1) water doesn't drain so you are standing on dirty water, 2) shower liner is not clean and is so close to your skin because the rod is not curved 3) sink/surface is not clean and with mold. If you need to shower to head to work this is not the place. It's pretty dirty. The studio floor is also not great. They need a true cleaning crew read more

Chill yoga studio, more on the trendy side of things and a lot of the classes available at this location are more like workout classes rather than relaxing yoga. Still a great time and friendly staff. The rooms are just big enough, maybe a little cramped but it's manageable. If you're in a pinch it's a great option for yoga. read more

This studio has some amazing as well as some horrible instructors. I would not recommend Kathryn's class. She's incredibly rude and did not let me put on my shoes before kicking me out of the studio saying she was getting late. I had to step out on the hot pavement and put my shoes back on. She also did not explain any of the moves and when I tried talking to her later she had a horrible attitude. Please pick your instructors wisely! read more

Hi, I'm Tori. I'm stepping back into yoga sculpt one of my favorite workouts after almost 5 years, I was excited to take my first class back. I got to the front door of the studio 1min before class started- door was locked. I remembered that the instructors also check-in clients as well. I waved + knocked on the door to the instructor (had her britney mic on) STILL in the lobby, and she gave me a side eye and shut the door to the studio. I would've had enough time to jump into the class if the instructor would've opened the door. I guess class utilization isn't a priority at this location? Very disappointing start to my morning as I was interested in the Unlimited membership. :( read more

This isn't my true rating or even a review of this location - just wanted to post a PSA for everyone: Water fountain as of 6/10/2023 was broken and people couldn't fill their waters at all. Studio was sold out of box waters. Please fill your waters before attending class at this location or arrive early enough to purchase water from Trader Joe's just in case! Even if I'm able to help just one person with this PSA, I'm happy with that! The class I attended last Saturday was very tiring because I was worried about rationing my water. read more

This place has been really dirty the last few times I have gone. Dirty classroom mirrors, dirty studio floors, trash on restroom floors. It looks neglected and makes you not want to attend class. This is not what a boutique yoga experience should feel like. I live closer to this location, but have to go out of my way to go to the culver city location because there is such a stark difference in how the locations are taken care of. read more

Of the few CorePower Yoga places, I'd have to say this is probably my least favorite location. Mainly because it's a lot smaller, there's only one classroom and it gets really packed because of the small size. I took the 5:30pm Yoga Sculpt classes for a week here and the intensity was pretty comparable to the other Yoga Sculpt classes I've taken at other locations. The changing room is pretty small too. There's a wall of lockers and they provide their own locks, just hold onto the key during class. Only one shower only is available, so you might have to wait. Parking: Free parking in the garage for 2 hours, just be sure to get your ticket validated! read more

Dedicated and highly trained instructors, I always have a positive experience. The teachers are passionate about their work and really care about everyone having a good class experience. Free parking validation. P1 is usually a bit crowded for parking, so go straight down to level P2 and you'll find lots of open parking spaces. Thank you CorePower USC! read more

This studio is a bit tricky to find/get into. It's inside the USC village next to a big field. The locker room was a bit tight, but it seems to be the norm with CPY studios in general. They don't provide locks which I've never experienced in a CPY studio. Unfortunately, I was visiting town and didn't have a lock on me. They said my valuables would "be safe" as they never really had issues with theft. I'm always skeptical due to past experiences and ended up bringing my valuables with me into the studio. The class itself was okay. Could just be an off day as I was there during the holidays. I took a sculpt class and the format was completely different and felt impromptu. We spent way too much time warming up. There was no flow and the music wasn't upbeat enough. Additionally, the heaters were barely up. Nonetheless, the staff was very friendly and there seems to be a community here. read more

A friend of mine suggested that I tried CorePowerYoga's Yoga Sculpt class and I figured I'd give it a try. As a guy, I have to admit that going into this I had this preconceived notion that this "yoga class" wouldn't be very challenging....but I have to admit that the Yoga Sculpt class will kick your butt! The exercises themselves are not very difficult on their own but when done for an hour straight in a room that's 90 degrees, it really is a great workout. The classes are pretty intense and it will take a while to build up the endurance to do the entire hour without taking breaks here and there - so don't get discouraged. The thing that I like so much about this workout is that even though you worked your butt off for the entire hour, you don't really feel too sore the next day - so you can easily go on back-to-back days. USC Location: This location is clean and kept up well but would have been nicer if the men's room had more than one shower. I also wish they had complimentary locks to the lockers like the Westwood location has. Although being that the classes are predominantly female, the mens locker room is never really THAT crowded after a class, which is definitely a plus. I've taken a number of Yoga Sculpt classes by different instructors and every instructor has their own "style", which makes each class feel very different, so be sure to pick the one whose style best suits you. I have to admit that at this location a few of the YS instructors are not as good as others - they don't really connect with the people in the class and often make you do routines in a weird order that wipes you out too soon (like don't start the class by having us stay in low plank for 5 minutes and then go right into push-ups). I think Brooke's class is very good as I enjoy her pacing. Khloe is very good as well but she will kick your butt! (a little too intense for me to be honest...maybe I can be ready for her class in a month or so). My biggest gripe about this location though is that the classes (mainly the Yoga Sculpt) are overcrowded. Their studios are pretty small and you definitely have to get there 15-30 minutes before classes starts if you want a good spot...and even then, you're forced to move over and let somebody squeeze in (making it feel a little cramped). They really should limit the number of people who can join each class or if the demand is high for the class at that particular time, they should have it both of the studios simultaneously. These classes are not exactly cheap, so not overcrowding these class would greatly enhance the experience for everyone. Parking: You can park in the lot and they will validate you but I wish they did for more time because I usually like to get (or need to get) to class 15-20 minutes beforehand to get a good spot in the room and then take another 15-20 minutes to get cleaned up and dressed afterwards...so it would be nice if they validated for longer. All in all, the USC location is nice but I do wish the facility was a little bigger like the others and that some of the "newer" instructors would connect a little better with the people in the class. If you're looking for a good workout, I say you should definitely give Yoga Sculpt a try. They offer a week free, so take advantage of that and go 3 times that week to see if this is for you. I not really a big "yoga person" myself but the Yoga Sculpt really is a great workout if you're looking to build your strength and tone up your body. read more

I went here because it was convenient for my friend as she lives on campus and has a membership here. I took a Corepower 2 class that wasn't really all that challenging for a level 2 class. Considering this is a corporate chain, I expected the studio to be more state of the art. This was my first visit here but the front desk didn't give me a tour or anything. I had to ask where the studio was before she pointed to it. Thank goodness my friend was here or else I wouldn't know where the locker room is. It's also really weird how the locker room doesn't have a door as plenty of females had to take their workout bras off after working out. Parking is absolute hell here in the afternoons so make sure you avoid taking classes during meal times. read more

The reviews are honestly too low for the quality of this studio. It's important to consider that this place is more worth it for USC students. Since I can walk here in 5 minutes, I think I appreciate this studio way more than reviewers who drive to this location. The instructors I've had here are wonderful, and I love the variety of classes they offer. I actually agree with gripes voiced by other Yelpers: the cost is definitely too high and was just raised again, and the lack of any sign up list or class cap makes classes during certain dates and times unbearable during the school year (I still have flashbacks to a 10am Saturday YogaSculpt class where sweaty students were packed so close that every mat touched...ick.) However, the changes I've seen physically and mentally from going here are immense. I love that I can go to several types of classes throughout the week - a breath of fresh air from studios that offer only 1 type of class for the same price. If you have the patience to learn which class slots are less popular over time, live within walking distance, and have the budget for upscale exercise classes, this place can be life changing. read more

Great experience in general. Bit pricey after the free week and the trial month, but there are classes basically every hour of the day to fit the schedule and some VERY challenging. Instructors in general had above and beyond attitude, some hours were pretty packed but that doesn't change anything. Pretty interesting place to be a part of. read more

It's unfortunate the reviews I'm reading, but even worse, I wonder if the staff, management, or anyone is truly reading reviews and plans to do anything other than oh sorry you had a bad experience!!! Huh??? What do you plan to do about them? I rather you ignore my review than to keep saying sorry (not sorry). Finally, what happened to real customer service? I seem things have gotten more expensive, and customer service is a thing of the past. Like what happened to we will address a situation and do something. Couple reviews speak of a rude blond girl. She's still there, still rude. A review from someone who didn't have ID and refused membership this is fine (anyone who doesn't have ID boggles my mind) but noticed others were able to sign up with no ID (let's be consistent) but the management says we require ID that's fine but require it from EVERYONE!!!! I was looking for a yoga studio, but I will only NOT consider this one. I will not even consider CORE YOGA POWER. I refuse to give anyone money to not only provide Excellent Customer Service but refuse to fix issues that apparently so many seem to have and come off as Sorry not Sorry attitudes from management. read more

Disclaimer: I went to this studio regularly when I was living nearby for a summer. Since school wasn't in session for USC, I didn't experience any of the overcrowding issues that other reviewers are mentioning. I really enjoyed this studio and their friendly staff. The classes were challenging and I really liked the teachers. It's hot, but not unbearable. They also validate parking which is a huge plus. read more

I prefer Yogaworks. I didn't have a great interaction with one of the front desk staff (?) there yesterday night. They had an entirely too full yogasculpt class. Many people were turned away (studios are very small); I decided to take the 7PM class; as a courtesy I let the yoga instructor know I would have to leave a little earlier; she said it was cool initially. I returned decided to leave a little earlier; and the front desk person who was next to the yoga instructor- no idea who she was, didn't introduce herself short blonde girl (?) rude woman, in a very condescending tone whilst barefoot and a towel wrapped around her with no eye contact scolded me saying "don't ever do this again, you're not going to get anything from the class, it's so bad for your body to go from hot to cold etc, etc" It really killed the vibe, no acknowledging the full class, no eye contact, no leveling, nothing she was just ready to scold someone? The INSTRUCTORS are fine which is why I choose to do 1 star (I feel like some of them went to the same yogi training through all of their teaching styles are very similar, even some of the phrases and the way they introduce the class are almost word for word); but the rest of the studio, unless maybe you are a USC student and live nearby -- probably not worth it. Tips: -Come 30-45 minutes early for yoga sculpt, its popular -Don't plan on showering here they have one small shower, in a tiny bathroom -Bring your own lock, lockers don't have any Cons: -Very, very, very small locker room -Very, very small studios (they have 2) -You have to come 30-40 minutes ahead of time for classes -Not enough locker space if you have two crowded studious (plan on leaving your stuff in your car) -Short blonde front desk girl - rude read more

I have been to 14 different corepower locations throughout California (ones in la, OC, sd, the Bay Area) and this by far is the worst one. I get that it's a smaller studio and with mainly usc students, but here is why I only give this location 2 stars. The bad: 1) the weights - 9 out of 10 times, the weights are disorganized and everytime I come to a sculpt class I have to literally pause for a good 10-15 seconds before I can locate my preferred weights. 2) I've been to studios where they provide sanitizing wipes to clean your blocks/weights but this location definitely did not have this as an option. 3) the parking is a miserable clusterf** If you have to drive to the studio, try to go during unpopular hours or extra early so that you're not late for class. 4) I don't want to generalize but is it just me or do college students have no respect for the quiet time before class starts? I like to attend class early to unwind and have a moment of silence to myself but these moments are always disrupted by rude yogis. I know there's a sign that says "no phones, no talking" on the door but the sign ain't working. The instructors could possibly make a better effort to enforce these rules. The good: I have taken the c2 and yoga sculpt classes here and both are amazing with pretty incredible, friendly teachers who are upbeat and play really good music. read more

This place has the worst customer service ever! The front desk girl today blonde girl who taught the Yoga Sculpt class at 130pm was extremely rude! She denied my entrance, denied my money & basically told me to leave because I did not have an ID! I've never felt so enraged & horrible! There were other people signing up as new members & no one asked for there ID's. I really enjoyed their free week trial. They have lots of locations and offer a good variety of classes including Bikram and Pilates. My friend dragged me there and I liked it a lot more than I expected. There was a spiritual element at the end of yoga, which was nice. Parking lot is in the back, across from back entrance. Staff was really nice and accommodating at this location. Teachers vary by location, but there are groupons and class invites that are incredibly cheap. Multiple locations means that you can get your yoga in no matter what area LA life takes you. read more

Do not come here if you respect the practice of yoga and want to truly take a class that will free your mind, body, and soul. I should have listened to the reviews on Yelp for this particular Core Power. I've been a fan of this yoga brand for years now and even took teacher training through them, passed it, and taught classes for a little while until I realized that teaching yoga wasn't my thing. I just love the practice itself. In any case, I'm great with directions and it took me 10-15 minutes to find where it was. Not their fault, and not why I'm giving it 1 star but just note that it's in the UCS Village and there is underground parking and it's in the way back of the center and there is no signage to direct you. The class itself was good. I forget my teacher's name but she was pretty solid. The room was small and very oddly shaped though. The reason I'm giving it 1 star is because the shavasana pose is the most important part of my practice. I began hearing the class that got let out before ours (and possibly some students for the following classes were gathering outside) prior to the final shavasana. They were loud as hell and it sounded like a college dorm room...not a yoga studio. And when I say "some students," I actually don't mean yoga students. This is basically a private USC yoga studio. I think I was the only non USC student in that entire Corepower. The main lobby is loud even while classes are going on. So loud that it distracts your practice, but particularly in shavasana when I'm trying to free my mind the most, was when I was screaming foul language in my head from all the laughing, yelling, and shouting going on outside of the room. I honestly wanted to speak with the manager and get my $27 back because that was absolutely not a real yoga class. Core Power should be ashamed of themselves. I understand monetarily they are doing very well here cause it was packed with USC students but that does not negate that their brand is now tarnished with me forever. You cannot put your name on something and not have it align with your business principles. I don't care where you situate your studios, if it says your name on it I expect the same level of service in every part of the world. There have been enough negative posts on here about these types of issues (and again I should have listened to previous reviews) for corporate to pay them a visit and fix things. I did not see one person that looked to be an adult in that entire place (granted I ran out of there when class was over cause I was so pissed) but maybe placing someone over 30 years old in there to actually manage the place, would help make this studio yoga friendly for EVERYONE!!! Plus, I'm sure there are some other USC students who would appreciate a yoga class without the sound of their fellow students yelling outside like they are in their football stadium!!! I walked in there frustrated from getting lost and almost missing class (and then having to find a spot in a weird corner because of the weird shape of the room) and walked out even more frustrated from the disrespect of the other "yogis" and staff that were just as loud (because they were also students). A waste of my time, and money and I will never walk into another CorePower again. This experience spoke volumes and clearly the training and branding from 7 years ago, is no longer. COREPOWER, DO BETTER!!!! ***Update: Do yourself a favor and go to Soho Yoga*** read more

I absolutely hate this location and it has turned me off of Core Power forever. Not only are the front desk attendants rude, but every single time I attempt to visit a class it is "over capacity" 20 minutes before the start of the class. If they are dealing with an overcrowding issue then there should be an online sign up so people who have PAYING MEMBERSHIPS don't waste time driving to the studio only to be turned away. Core Power is capable of so much better than this and this location tarnishes the brand's entire reputation. I have already cancelled my membership and don't ever plan on reinstating it--there are many other yoga studios nearby that I would prefer to give $26 a class to. Hope they'll change something. read more

Several months have gone by since my last review. I've seen lots of improvements so I have been coming here more and more. Sculpt classes are definitely more challenging and there have been schedule adjustments to accommodate for the busy classes. The classes haven't been busy since students are on break. I'm not looking forward to when they come back though. Lately the heating system has been acting up and not working. Luckily the weather outside has been warm and if the class is big enough you can build some heat. read more

Before I went to this location, I was taken aback by the negative reviews. Now that I've gone to a handful of classes, I felt compelled to leave a review. Just to set the table, I'm an unlimited class member (black tag) and have been to 10+ CPY's across the country (so I'm biased in the sense that I'm already a fan of vinyasa/fitness classes). The main drawback is that the studio is small, and possibly the smallest CPY I've been to - there's only 1 shower in the men's room. And you might be in your final Savasana pose while you hear the bass thumping from the Sculpt class next door. I think they designed the locker room small on purpose as I doubt most of the customers (mostly students) don't have a need to shower in the studio since they live nearby. The pros to this studio are: -Overall great instructors with good energy (Molly is fantastic!) -Easy, validated parking lot with friendly attendants if you ever have an issue -Pretty empty during the day... 5/6pm classes are very popular but nothing compared to what I've seen such as SF's studio where mats are touching -Location: Right next to Trader Joe's, Target, Amazon Locker so I can get a workout + run errands in under 2 hours. And safe (stark contrast from the last time I visited a decade ago) read more

Took a 5PM class with Elena Marie. First off the location is awesome, right in the middle of USC Village and super accesible. Bonus is after your class you can hang out in the beautiful courtyard and grab, coffee or do some shopping. Elena Marie has a warm and welcoming personality and her class was great. I hadn't done yoga in awhile and she was patient and made great adjustments where I could really feel a difference. Loved her, loved the studio and on top of that there's a free intro week of classes and times are so convenient. I'll be back frequently. read more

Great instructors and clean studios/ locker rooms!

I just finished my first class here and I have a few thoughts about the facility and the class itself. Firstly this is a USC dominated studio but there are a mix of people. I read reviews saying that students were disrespectful or the classes were overly packed. Although this may be true sometimes, I came in the morning during the summer and everyone was perfectly polite and the class wasn't packed at all. Because it was my first time they gave me a yoga mat for free (you usually bring your own or pay a fee for it) but it smelled absolutely disgusting. I could barely breathe the whole time because my mat smelled like someone's sweat. Do they not clean them in between? Hot yoga makes you SWEAT and I'm afraid they didn't do a thorough job cleaning the place which kind of grosses me out. I went to yoga sculpt so it was definitely difficult. As mentioned before I had never sweat so much in my life. Whether the heat is actually effective I cannot tell you. I didn't feel that great afterwards like I usually do after a workout, but I suppose that's more of a personal issue. I didn't like how the class ended with some spiritual touches, specifically including the "third eye" which I thought was unnecessary considering this wasn't really yoga but a trendy, westernized, adaptation of the ancient practice. I would say in total, I had a fairly good workout. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't go back if I had to pay. Lastly, parking is easy in the structure and you always get 2 hours free with validation. read more

This is the worst corepower I've been to and I've been to 6 different ones in the la area. The lockers are way smaller than the ones at other locations and there is one.... yes one shower. I took a C2 class and it was boring and uninspired. Even the instructor seemed less than enthused to be there. I tried it out since it is the closest location to where I work in downtown la.... but never again. I'd rather travel an extra 5 miles to go to the Pasadena location from my work. read more

First month is $99 and after that it is $169. They have a free week trail. once you pay for your membership, you have access to other CPY studios. You can rent mats and towels for $2 each. But I couldn't enjoy this studio: the teachers here overcrowd their classrooms and force those who arrived on time to move--and I'm talking move so that your mats touch. A lot of the USC students who make up 90% of the clientele are loud/disrespectful to the practice. Also, someone else's sweat inevitably will land on your mat and puddle; this happens way too often here because the teachers let more people in then there should be and the college students are entitled/oblivious about personal space. Call me old-fashioned but if we're swapping sweat I should at least know your name. I can't mountain pose because I'm squeezed against a wall, horse pose otherwise my ass would be by a stranger's crotch, or airplane pose because I could possibly kick a head (sorry woman from 2019 May's 4pm class). They need better organization and an earlier admittance cutoff to actually make the practice enjoyable/less claustrophobic. I also wished they were cleaner. The tissues in the bathroom or studio rooms aren't always stocked. I saw an employee use a white towel to clean the bathroom stalls, so that was more than enough to stop me from renting their towels. They don't have toilet seat covers too. I really wish they would read these negative reviews (because they pretty much say the same things) and DO something about it. I still shudder from the memories of other people's sweat puddles on my mat... read more
