I am a middle aged woman who was starting to really feel the effects of my age. My primary wanted…read moreto put me on prozac when I brought up HRT, and I knew that was not the answer for me. Luckily, I had a friend who was a patient at Dr. Wright's office and recommended I call to check them out. I made sure they were covered by my insurance plan first, and made an appointment. The initial appointment is very thorough, I had a pap, ultrasound, ans testing, and bloodwork done. They made sure my insurance covered it all before I stepped through the door. My consult with the nurse practitioner, Yolanda, was nothing short of amazing! She was personable, smart, funny, and really made sure I understood my options. She's been treating me for the past 6 months, and I feel so much better! I am back to my old self, and feel like a veil that I had been living under has been lifted! No more hip pain, my hair loss has stopped, and I feel energetic and can sleep again. The office is very fancy by my standards. You're offered a beverage when you check in, there's a beverage station in the waiting area, and they offer snacks after the blood draws. Everyone that I've encountered at the office has been so pleasant and I am so thankful to have found this practice. It's been life changing, and I am always recommending it to women my age who are feeling the negative effects of aging.

After receiving multiple confirmation texts over the past month, and confirming each, today I received a notification of a bill estimate for my appointment. Today is the 29th. I call them to update my insurance information, as I was recently married. Billing informs me that my appointment was cancelled on the 18th. I'm transferred to scheduling, who tells me it was cancelled on the 20th. My appointment that I made a year ago. My appointment that I make every year, at the very end of the calendar year. They insist that they left a message, which I never received, informing me that a provider I have never heard of is no longer with their location, and that I would need to reschedule, and that the appointment would be cancelled if they didn't hear back from me. This after receiving, literally five hours ago, an estimate of my balance that would be due for the service that was apparently cancelled over a week ago. They cannot book me within the calendar year now. The entire point of scheduling it at this time is for my insurance. I drive an hour to their location when I could go literally anywhere closer. My question is--if the appointment had to be rescheduled regardless, why would they say the appointment was cancelled because I didn't call back (to the voicemail I never received)? If it was simply a provider issue, they didn't inform me the first time they changed my provider for that appointment slot. I have always seen the same provider, and now that provider only works in telehealth. So the provider they replaced her with was done without informing me, and no appointment was cancelled whenever that happened. So why was it cancelled this time, when ostensibly it was the same situation? Why was I told two different dates for when the appointment was supposedly cancelled? Why would I receive a bill today for a service that was cancelled last week? I am beyond frustrated. I was told there was absolutely no way they could honor my original appointment, which again, I made a year ago. I don't know how much money they've made from me over the past four or five years, but I always opted for the additional recommended tests that aren't traditionally covered by insurance. I was prioritizing my health. I've even defended their excessive billing practices to friends I've personally recommended after they ultimately had a poor experience with their office. But I'm telling you now, don't waste your time or your money with the Wright Center. It's simply not worth it. They clearly have no regard for their own commitments.

I'll first say Chaka was extremely professional with all of the services she provided us as we unitized her doula services and placenta encapsulation service. Most importantly she did a great job by making us feel comfortable as this was our first child and there is a certain level of anxiety that comes with that, also by providing us educational material to prepare us for what's in store on our journey and educating us on potential risks. She also helped us draft a birthing plan which really helped us be more prepared which later really came into play. Once we were close to our due date she was constantly in contact with us and updating us on her schedule and even rescheduled some of her other clients as she puts her doula services as top priority! During the delivery process she provided excellent support for my wife and did a great job at advocating for her which was greatly appreciated. Even after our son was delivered Chaka remained in contact with us checking in to answer any questions we had and that level of support is not normally available. If you want a doula that truly cares about you and your baby Chaka is the right woman for the job. Thank you so much Chaka for everything we really appreciate everything You've done for us!

I had a planned epidural and wondered whether a doula would be worth the cost but it completely was and I would do it all over again. She got my birth moving by turning me back and forth and using the peanut ball, she explained to me everything that was happening (at my request), and made me feel in control which was all that I could hope for as my first birth felt very out of control. I would recommend a doula for every birth and definitely recommend Chaka!

It is truly deep tissue, she really worked some key pressure points, leaving parts of my body feeling better than they have in a while. Late in pregnancy I've just become accustomed to my hips and back feeling off so it was almost jarring to walk back to my car with less pain. The bed is set up really well, they know what they're doing with pregnant clients. I was really comfortable the entire time. It is really nice, after so many months of getting poked and prodded at the doctor, to be treated very gently. I'll definitely be coming back, hopefully both before and after I give birth. They have no cancellation fees if you book and are unable to make it because you go into labor, which is really nice. It's definitely pricey but it's worth the money. An overall great massage, if you're pregnant and thinking about getting a massage, this is the place to go.

Whatever ailment I have, it's resolved by the end of the session. My message therapist, Nia, is very accommodating, welcoming, and peaceful; it's hard not to feel her zen energy right when you meet her. The environment is clean, the pillows are abundant within the massage room (a must in the latter trimesters, haha), and the comfort comes quickly. My only gripe is that it's not around the corner from where I live, but I won't dock them for that.

When I arrived the receptionist did not tell me that they were running behind. I sat down and filled out my paperwork, and there was a girl next to me who seemed a little agitated and being a little impatient. Later I found out it was because she was waiting so long for her appointment. Next thing I knew my appointment time has come and gone and finally the receptionist said to me that they were running a little behind. I thought to myself, a little behind... We are already a little behind because my appointment was 10 minutes ago. As I started to do the math in my head, based upon when I was told they were running behind, and when the previous person was called...I realized that if I continued to wait for my appointment it would be a half hour past my appointment time! This is not nearly running a little behind. I was a little disappointed at the fact that I received no phone call about them running behind, nor was I told when I checked in that they were running behind. And when I finally was told, it was already 10 minutes past my appointment time. I decided to leave without being seen. Sure enough, I get a voicemail from the receptionist asking where I was as they were trying to track me down. She said that the nurse just called me back and I was nowhere to be found. I thought to myself... Just called me back?! It was 6:52 PM which means it was about 35 minutes past my appointment time. This was unacceptable. I understand that sometimes providers run behind, but that does not mean that you should not communicate with your patients. When we arrive 10 to 15 minutes late we are asked to reschedule, however if they run that far behind were asked to sit there. I don't think that that's fair... we also have things to do and I had another appointment to get to. I think your front end staff needs to communicate with patients a little bit better especially when they are running that far behind. I definitely left feeling uncared for in more ways than one.

Once I got there, I waited over 25 minutes, watching 2 other patients come and go during that time, before I asked why I hadn't been seen yet. The receptionist went to go ask, and when she came back she informed me that Dr. Carly Richards had been called to the hospital and was supposed to be back but wasn't. I think they would have just let me sit there indefinitely if I hadn't asked. The waiting room was empty other than the two patients that were seen and gone almost immediately. The level of incompetence is staggering, whether it was a lack of communication on the surgeon's behalf or the administrative staff's lack of awareness, it is absurd. We have been with Duly for years now, but I am done. I will find a different surgeon and medical group.
