Not the least was when he blew up in my face when I asked him if he was going to honor our written agreement for price per sq ft. Went from 0-100 anger. Pulled subs off the job on my house and stormed away saying "I'm done" after they had waited an hour for him to show up to start working. Price per sq ft went up exponentially. He does not like to be questioned on his practice, nor be stood up to when you finally figure out what he's all about. The funny thing is I think this guy thinks he is entitled to marked up prices he charges. He actually thinks he is a good contractor. Poor would be my assessment of him. If you call any other contractor in this area in Colorado and they tell you its a 4 year wait, do it. Save yourself headache and lots of money. Oh, he apparently likes to build for widows. He told me I was his 3rd to build for.

Frontier Kitchens and Interiors (Layne Hovey) guided us through a whole house renovation for our…read morenew 3900 sf home in Westcliffe, CO. We cannot say enough about how wonderful it was working with Layne. I had a solid idea of what I did not want and a very vague idea of what I did want. Layne patiently listened and enthusiastically welcomed the hundreds of pictures I sent her of designs I did like. Somehow, miraculously, she was able to come up with a design and with paint, flooring, fixtures, etc that were SPOT ON to what we wanted, but couldn't articulate in any coherent fashion....as if she is a mind-reader! Layne was upfront with costs, came up with many, many ideas on how to keep costs down, found carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. that did an excellent job - and in fact many of these good folks have become our good friends. It's been over a year now since we moved to Westcliffe, and every single day it is pure joy to wake up in our beautiful home. WE highly, unreservedly, without any reservation whatsoever recommend Layne and Grant with Frontier Kitchens and Interiors for kitchen/bath design and more. Both were extremely courteous, professional, friendly, and just fantastic. I couldn't have asked for a better shed purchasing and delivery experience.
