She seemed to understand intrinsically what our personalities were and how we preferred to be photographed (either acting goofy...or not knowing we were being photographed.) Her pictures were beautiful: elegant but also very unique and heartfelt. In addition, all our friends loved her so everyone was happy to have their pictures taken. She blends so easily into a crowd that she seems like a friend or a family member and instantly puts everyone at ease. We got some amazing shots: dancing, portraits, families and just fabulous strutting around. It was a year ago and people still ask to see my pictures. And all of this planned with zero stress over a very nice cup of tea. Just show up and Kim will handle the rest. I can't recommend her highly enough.

(I eloped when I got married - so no professional photog there either). My company recently hired Kim to do a series of headshots for each employee and a group shot. We're a playful agency - and the majority of us identify as nerds so posing as "models" is not our natural state of being. However, Kim was great at coaxing out our inner Zoolanders. She really took the time to get to know us and get a feel for our company culture. We spent the day prior to the shoot walking around the area for a couple of hours and determining ideal locations. The following morning she was ready to rock. We did a series of indoor and outdoor shots. Kim has a very comforting and relaxing nature about her. She was able to instantly put me - and my other colleagues - at ease with her warm, positive and genuine personality. As she took photos, she'd let you see the results after a few frames so you could specify what you liked or didn't like about a particular image. If someone didn't want to seem rude or vain and expressed satisfaction, even if they weren't satisfied, Kim would pick up on it immediately. She'd gently offer to take more pics until those that were more self-critical felt comfortable with the product. She spent the entire day photographing our team and not once did she seem tired or annoyed. She seemed sincerely thrilled to be a part of the moment with us. We also got proofs back in rapid time! For all my initial nervousness and hesitation, this was a really fun and positive experience to be a part of. I don't think that would have been possible without Kim behind the lens though. If I ever need professional shots in the future - I know who I'll be going back to :)

It is easy to see that Jared is passionate about what he does and it shows in the photographs he takes. It also impresses us how Jared actually listened to our specific needs. We have a large family who enjoy photos of a candid nature. Jared and his assistant Matt were nonintrusive during the ceremony and reception, and yet they didn't miss a thing! The candid shots perfectly captured the moments of the night as well as the personality of everybody. My family is already talking about how they would like to hire Jared for the future family weddings. Overall, we'll highly recommend Jared, he does an outstanding job. On a side note, the wedding package he offers is a great value as well.

He won us over with his enthusiasm for being our wedding photographer, and was very considerate about working within our budget. We had a chance to get to know him when we did the engagement pics a couple of months before the wedding - without the pressure of the wedding day - and had a blast taking pictures around Salem. On the wedding day, he was a gem! He was exactly what we asked for: relaxed, appropriately directive when we needed him to be, and blended in with our wedding guests with ease. Even his assistant Matt was wonderful! Family members and guests who interacted with him came up to us after to compliment him to us, so it was clear he charmed more than just me and my husband. We recommend Jared very highly for weddings, or any other event where you may need to have a photographer! Check him out! :)

My husband and I agreed that the most important photography goal for our wedding day (besides…read moregetting great portraits) was to capture the joyful candid moments as we and our guests experienced them in real time. When it came to choosing a photographer, it was a no-brainer picking Shaby at Terme Studios. Her documentary style shooting and impactful, yet natural editing drew us to her instantly. Additionally, she had a number of photography packages to choose from, which made her even more appealing to our very budget-conscious minds. She was a pleasure to work with from the start, and was patient with us when we had the idea to make things a little more complicated in the name of enjoying more of our wedding party. We decided to take most of our family, bridal party, and individual portraits before the ceremony, without actually doing a First Look. This took a LOT of coordination to keep my husband and me apart, but it worked out flawlessly with Shaby's help and direction. After the ceremony, we had so much fun taking formal and more artsy couples portraits under Shaby's direction. During the reception she was busy snapping away, and based on the gorgeous sneak peek photos she's sent us, we cannot wait to see what kind of magic she captured! She also worked seamlessly well alongside our videographer, and coordinated with all our other vendors to ensure that our wedding day went as smoothly as possible. I highly recommend Terme Studios for your wedding photography needs!

My wife has always been uncomfortable having her photo taken, and we did not want to add that anxiety to the other stresses of a wedding day. We knew we wouldn't need to worry with Pamela. She made everyone feel incredibly comfortable in the posed shots, and otherwise we never knew we were being photographed at all since she used her effective art-documentary style and method. The result was a beautiful photo narrative of the day; she truly captured everyone's personality and beauty in her candids, and she also captured the romantic ambiance of our outdoor ceremony and reception under the trying circumstances of unexpected rain. Pamela also designed and arranged the images in custom printed albums. Both my parents and my wife's mother have shared these albums with friends and colleagues who all marvel at how beautifully the images tell the story of us.

The fishy thing that left a bad taste in our mouths was that after I got a response, a few days later she found his original response with a price way different. We ended up looking elsewhere because of this. When I look back at this photographer, some of the work is nice but a lot of the shots look amatuer like with feet cut off, or bad use of flash almost like how people look when they get their passport photos done.
