We have 14 long term rentals, home,farm and vehicle insurance with state farm insurance. We have been customers for 50 years. recently they refused to insure a newly remodeled rental saying the roof needed replaced. We live in a small community that is in real need of affordable family housing. We buy homes in poor condition and rehab them for families. The homes are always in great condition when we finish the rehab. We even had a statement from a liscensed roofing contractor stating there was a good 15 years life expectancy of the roof. A 50 year relationship and $20000.00 a year premium evidently means nothing to them. I Lost a lot of respect for state farm and our local agency because of this. read more

State Farm cancel my home insurance, said it had a roof that was potentially going to leak, I have been a commercial roofer for 44 years and have had insurance with State Farm for over 30 years. still have 3 vehicles and another home and a side x side now. State Farm is not reliable in my opinion. All roofs are potentially going to leak, I would like to meet the person who does their roof assessments. read more
