Way more upscale and BEAUTIFUL and has very historic grand mansions and houses. I spent times walking a few miles through the streets and looking at all the amazing architecture on the houses. It's at the base of a mountain and the backdrop of that hill makes it even prettier. The people were friendly and resembled a totally different class from those I saw in Coraopolis as well. Many nice restaurants to try here, as well as several bars. The main street is lined with beautifully landscaped trees and flowers in the median and there are lots of signs of patriotism in the way of flags being flown and pictures of soldiers hung on the street lights. If you're in the Pittsburgh area, you should stop here for lunch and take a walk around!

My favorite thing was the 3D painting machine - you need to pay to use it though. They sell some pre-made models though. They have monthly specials - for Feb they had displays of books celebrating the Black History Month. They lack an extensive collection of books in certain non-fiction genre. But, if you are looking for a place to borrow fiction novels and children's books, this is a good one.

Several times when we had issues with forwarding our mail, my husband called the office and the problems were fixed right away. Overall, very positive experience.

There is a free parking lot in the back with about 10-15 spots. Also a curb side book drop. Beware though, as of July 2023, the library is under construction for renovations and there is NO air conditioning. So it's hot inside! Some days they even close early if it's too hot so you may want to call ahead to check. Excited to see what it looks like after renovations because it is an old building.

I was in the area this morning for a doctors appt., and saw this old cabin sitting in the woods in…read morethe valley. I walked over to it from the medical building next door. I found a cabin with a grave stone in the front yard, and a hiking trail through the woods. The trail was nice, and I walked for a little ways, but didn't have enough time to follow it all the way (Also, it is deer hunting season, and although there is a mailbox that says orange vests are available to wear, it was empty). I would like to come back again some time, and see the whole trail. There weren't really any signs that explained the history of the cabin, nor a trail map, which I would have liked, but otherwise, it's a nice little place to get out into some nature . . . Cheers!
