During Christmas they also had some nice decorations and very cute festive earrings! We got a pair last year and a couple of pairs this year. This year they had some more traditional and nostalgic ornaments and I couldn't resist. This location in Bath gets VERY busy, so I'd recommend going when they first open. I've walked in and walked straight out again recently and it was only a Tuesday!

Eureka! The prices range dramatically from the sterling silver necklaces to the woven handbags (unsurprisingly) so it means that this shop serves any sort of budget. Their stock doesn't change regularly so I don't visit often, but when I do I remember how much I love their products and the exceptionally friendly service.

It has a variety of hippy-type goods from the world over, including dream catchers, incense, bongos, hookahs and other sorts of world goods. I must admit, though, that this place sells things designed for decoration rather than practical purposes. For example, I went here to buy a bongo for making some recordings, but every one I tried out had a flabby skin that made a dull fart of a noise and was consequently useless. Oh, and by the way, I've heard that the dream catchers don't actually catch dreams.

They also do a range of other bits and bobs that you wouldn't think, including a fine range of zippo lighters, fluid and other parts - I once bought a rather fine matte red zippo that was the bomb. I've shopped around for various craft supplies and hobbycraft isn't as expensive as i thought it would be, it has the added bonus of being all under one roof. I don't agree with previous comments that it's a shop for lazy people, if you are short on time then it's the best place. Smaller more personable hobby shops which are lovely will inevitably be more expensive and smaller in size including options for stock so it depends what you are after. i used to buy online from independent sellers but you do get less for your money and if you are intending to sell your items you create like i do, every penny makes a difference. Another good place to check out is local garden Centres, would be surprised the things i've found! They sell an abundance of Christmas crafts, ribbon, buttons, pendants, beads, modelling craft, decoupage, flower arranging, kids crafts and art work, cake decorating icing/ materials and that's just down stairs! It does get very bust on weekends, deducting a star for the times i've had to wait in the que for half and hour or more.
