A few friends played a couple of games of roulette but no big wins, it's a slippery slope! It is very modern with plush comfy sofas, and there's even cushions! I was really surprised by how pretty it was inside and I would have liked some of the decor for my own home. The toilets were also immaculate, very stylish and they had full length mirrors so you can check your dress isn't tucked into your pants, classy. My favourite thing in this casino are the verandas which give you stunning views across the Clyde, you can see the Science Centre and the Glasgow Tower in the background which are lit up at night, you can also see all the city lights reflected across the water and it looks beautiful. I guess it's very rarely that the Clyde is described as beautiful but honestly the views from here are amazing and really show the city at its best. I would say that Alea is definitely a step in the right direction, being much better in terms of value, game, and experience than Gala. Being much bigger, you can trail round different rooms while losing your money rather than staying in the same place. And it is open ALL NIGHT!! Why I do not yet know but this has got to be a positive, maybe poker is one of those things that wakes you up in the middle of the night. Lets be honest we know it does, but I don't think the dress code would allow PJ's. Free entry, just pay as you gamble. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Half Chicken with lime and herb dressing with fries for the Girls and Cajun Salmon with skin on fries and salad for me. Maybe not the most advenures menu but well cooked tasty food. Two of us had Prune & Armagnac Sticky Toffee pudding with Creme Anglaise and Lemon Tart for Margaret W. I am not a big pudding fan and this definitly stretched my pudding Tum to the limit but it was worth it. Suffice to say when I turned 21 and counted up all the things left I can do legally, I think going in here was about it. A bit of a let down. Full of older men nipping in and out of nearby pubs is all it is really. I do indulge in a 'proper gamble' on occasion and in that instance, I would go to one of the Gala Casinos. I was so drunk I cannot believe I got in. Presumably they thought I would waste money in here, and, they were right. As Adele eloquently pointed out, when you sign up you need to get your picture taken and get a membership card. Getting my photo taken at crazy o'clock was not flattering. That said, it's surprisingly easy to sign up for a Casino. It's nice inside with a good selection of roulette and black jack tables plus a really good selection of electronic gambling games. Gala do free soft drinks at the bar which is epic for sobering up after a nightout. It's about the most glamorous Casino I have been to in Glasgow, which says alot for the rest.

A little seedy and full of drunk folks and sleazy guys, this place is more vile than Vegas.
