Buyer BEWARE!! MIND YOUR COPAYS!! and don't fill out any patient satisfaction surveys prematurely!!…read more For **13** visits over about 6 weeks these people kept telling me I owed them a $30 copay, so I faithfully paid it prior to receiving treatment each and every time. It was only through chance while I was reviewing some things on my Blue Cross account that I realized I had ZERO responsibility to pay a copay. So first, they took my money when they shouldn't have. Upon realizing that back in April, I contacted their business office and spoke with someone (Taj?) who acknowledged that I shouldn't have been charged those copays and assured me they would be sending my $390 back to me. Yesterday - a month and a half later - I called and they said they still had not sent my money back to me, but acknowledged that they saw their own notes as to the above and would get the money sent to me... but they could not give me any explanation as to why the money wasn't already sent. Moreover, they're telling me it could be another 6 weeks before I receive the money. Multiple calls to Allison, the Business Office Supervisor, keep going unreturned. I keep being told that she's in a meeting and will get back to me afterwards, but that's not happening... So I've now put in a complaint with Blue Cross and will be putting in additional complaints with any state regulatory offices I can. Additionally, their main number 864-654-2001 gives an option to reach the business office, but you can't reach them that way, so you wind up wasting your time and someone else's to get the correct number. Finally, the person who keeps answering (Morgan??) once I reach the business office sounds like they're in a bathroom or some other sort of echo chamber. What a NIGHTMARE!!!!!

I have been a client there twice after each surgery on my thumbs. Adam is the hand guy and what an absolute GEM! The entire office is like a breath of fresh air! EVERYBODY, from the front office to every inch of the business is top notch, Now, it's my husbands turn to go for P.T. We were told to go to a different place and it was a complete nightmare. So today, we have cancelled the initial office and are going back to Excel. THEY treat the client AND the family with respect, care, fun and dignity! So hard to find in a business, nowadays. Cannot wait to go to Excel in Easley! !

Learn some manners in politeness and not tell your Client, "Leave your wife at home." YOU DONT KNOW…read moreUS. One minute of getting acquainted would have been nice. I'm sorry we didn't start out with Kevin. He is the Gold Standard. I've been there before and he was really polite, caring, funny and just makes you feel like you are in the right place for your needs. We went there yesterday for my husbands first visit and it was awful. I won't mention the woman's name because I don't ever leave negative reviews, but today we are cancelling out completely. Perhaps someone will teach her about manners and care for the Clients family too. We matter in the scope of Client participation. A sad day indeed. Please, if you go there, ask for Kevin first, at least your initial visit.

While the people are very nice here, I can't recommend this company in any way. The initial appt…read morewent as expected but the 2nd one was awful. When I first arrived, each client had a therapist. I was called into the back by a therapist who I thought maybe was just finishing up with someone else. It wouldn't have been a big deal but he started me off with something that appeared to be unrelated to my treatment and continued juggling me and 3 other clients the entire time I was there. Every other therapist finished with their client and went home. This is what caused me to cancel the rest of the appts that had been set up for me. It felt like I was a 2nd class citizen receiving therapy as part of a group instead of 1 on 1. The billing is atrocious as well. No one local can help you. It is handled by something called Instamed which has a website/paperless statements, etc. You would think getting a detailed invoice would be simple. You can't get detailed billing information from them without calling them and asking. Then they use terms that aren't really clear at all; nor does it relate in any way to what was submitted to your insurance company! To be clear, on my 2nd visit where I was treated by 1 therapist who was also treating 3 other clients simultaneously, ATI submitted a claim to my insurance company for seemingly random things: 1 item mentioned "chiropractic" and another mentioned "one on one" therapy. The charges for my 2nd visit were virtually the same total as the initial visit, which is quite insulting. In summary, I would suggest avoiding any ATI physical therapy because their corporate model appears to be anything but good communication or care.
