We had a great time on the river. Merritt (Dan) led us expertly and safely down the river and we had a perfectly delicious picnic lunch on the riverbank. Both Merritt and Shaden (I am slaughtering these spellings, I know) were polite and helpful, and most of all, tolerated our 10 year old son who was full of questions. BRILLIANT. A great day out if you're in Kennicott! We did the rafting day followed by flight-see. It was first-class. We were with Gaia the tour guide who was really informative and an excellent rafter. She even gave us a bit of tuition floating down the Nizina river. The lunch is also wonderful and the view of the river is (of course) awesome! The flight back was only a few minutes (so my sickness held off...!) All in all, it was a great experience and something really memorable for our trip around Alaska. A definite recommend! read more

We love Copper Oar! We took a Three Rivers Raft and Flight See trip down the Kennicott and Nizina Rivers. The scenic trip was wonderful and such an experienced guide manning our boat. She skillfully guided us through some very impressive rapids. We enjoyed a noon time break exploring a large gravel bar while our guides prepared a delicious lunch. It was amazing to see how the large rafts and all the equipment were quickly dismantled and loaded onto planes at the end of the day. We enjoyed fantastic views from the air on our flight back to McCarthy...so many great photos to take. We would definitely recommend this experience. read more
