We stayed at Copper Chase Royal Queen Suite, Condo #228 for four nights and felt it was important to share our honest experience. While the location and complex amenities (pool, spa, sauna, etc.) are appealing and the property has good reviews in general, we found several issues that did not match the advertised description of a three‑bedroom condo. Specific concerns: * The unit was advertised as a three-bedroom condo; however, we were very disappointed to find that the third "bedroom" does not meet the reasonable expectations of a bedroom. It is very small, offers no privacy, has no cupboards, is cold and run down, and appears poorly maintained. There was visible drywall and water damage, an access panel stuffed with toilet paper, no working power, and overall the space was not suitable to be used as a bedroom. * The second bedroom's bunk bed wobbled with any movement and felt only appropriate for a very small child. The drawers in that room came off their hinges easily. * Other maintenance issues included: * Dripping master bathroom faucet with no proper water flow * Missing towel rail with exposed holes in the wall * A closet filled with old, unused items taking up space * Non‑functioning water filter in the kitchen fridge When we shared these concerns with the owner, the response dismissed them by saying it was a "great place" with plenty of demand, rather than addressing the maintenance and representation issues. We hope the listing description is updated and maintenance is improved, so future guests can make a fully informed decision. read more

These are really old condos that have some being rented or leased out through time share exchanges. There's limited amenities and even less things to do in the immediate area. However, you can drive to the National Parks at least. read more

As of 2-18-15 there is no WiFi in building A. Please ask about this if access in your unit is important. There is good WiFi in the lobby if needed, but you will have to walk there through the underground garage and outside at one point. Not very convenient when you're in your jammies and it's freezing outside :-( They actually had a "wired only" router in unit 211 for an internet connection which was maddening. A simple $50 WiFi router would be most appreciated. Who carries a laptop and wants to be tethered by cable anyway?! Stayed here again and this time got unit 211 which was decent. It's the typical dated decor, but was a clean and comfortable place to stay for our group. The ski out access right above the Navajo Lodge was excellent. It's a bit uphill to get back into the unit. However, it's easy to take the free shuttle from the lodge back to the unit. Overall the property seems to be maintained to a decent standard. Although we are exploring other lodging options after this stay, we are likely to return if nothing better is found. read more

I can't believe how great this value is. My stay exceeded my expectations as I thought it was too good to be true. I joined my sister (and best friend), for a summer get away from the California COVID-19 mess. There was NO sign of COVID in Brian Head or most of Utah for that matter. I booked through the Copper Chase website and they were great to work with. I did not have to pay commissions. I booked the Royal Queen Suite and we had two couples and each had 2 kids. It was perfect. It sleeps much more than the 8 of us but they do limit how many adults and also how many can go to the pool at a time (8 maximum pool bracelets). We were limited to only one car in the garage, but our host Scott provided us parking nearby which made everything easy. Scott, our host is on the fire department and was nice enough to give our kids a tour and show them how to use a fire extinguisher. This was great personal attention. I got to meet a few of Scott's daughters and they were so cute. They helped us with a grocery problem by going to a market in Parowan on their way up for a special dietary item my sister needed. This was unbelievable service. For $405 per night you can't beat the price. I was given a 10% military discount (refund) when my host found out I served. I wish every stay was this awesome. I am booking for Xmas right now and can't wait to ski after a 10 year break. read more

I rented through George's Ski Shop. The condominiums are individually owned so, pricing and amenities may differ between units. I rented Copper Chase 111. This unit offers 1 queen bed, couch ( folds out to bed), full bathroom, kitchen w/dish wear, and silverware, WiFi, and under garage parking. Copper Chase is conveniently .5 miles from Giant Steps Express. The only reason I rated Copper Chase 3 stars is because the units are a little out dated. Besides that, George's Ski shop made renting very convenient, and overall I was very satisfied and comfortable during our stay. read more

Not a very nice place in general. It was probably nice decades ago when it was first build, but over the years it has become run down and poorly maintained. This is our SECOND time visiting this complex and the Jacuzzi was broken BOTH times during our 4 night stays in Mar 2021 and Mar 2022. Management just hangs a sign on the outside door that says 'Jacuzzi broken - parts on order.' This major issue was brought to the attention of management and the condo owner (Scott), but apparently over a years time nothing was done to fix the broken Jacuzzi (although they continue to advertise it on their websites). The unit we stayed in, Royal King Suite, was also in poor condition in need of replacement appliances, fixtures and a thorough cleaning. Some of the bed sheets were stained and had hair. The overhead stove microwave, light and fan were broken (replaced with just a small countertop microwave). The master bathroom shower/tub was riddled with mold/mildew and the corners of the floor was caked on with dirt. The couches had trash and hair between the cushions and the entire unit was dusty and not cleaned properly. We contacted the owner of the unit and described all the problems we encountered, but his response was basically - sorry for the trouble, it's not my fault, the unit is clean and in 'like new' condition. Our room was a clean and comfy studio. Said it had a fireplace but it didn't. But if you are a lovers of the color black. Don't where it here. Everything outside your room is covered with a thin layer of dust.EVERYTHING. And don't expect to get anything that they say you can get. Because in 3 day no one was at the front desk. Not during the middle of the day, morning , or afternoon. Also be careful cause they don't bother telling you that you are above the pool that is open until ten and trust me there will be people screaming to the very last minute. If you have a tub clean it out first and save yourself the black paint floaties we got in ours. Room could save it from a one star but that is about it. read more

Our stay at copper chase was disappointing. About a week before our stay I called to check on my reservation and was informed that we wouldn't be able to stay in the condo I booked, 205, and had to move us to condo 217. This showed a lack of communication by the management. I had previously stayed in 205 which is why I wanted it. Once there 217 was clearly an old unit that hasn't been remodeled. The first night we couldn't sleep because the baseboard heaters made loud creaking noise. So we decided to turn them off and use the fireplace but that wasn't working. We talked to management and they promised they would look at it but they did nothing and eventually told us to "suck it up or leave". This is not how you treat paying customers. There were some positives which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of none. Like proximity to the ski slopes and nice heated pool and jacuzzi. The units are individually owned so if you're booking from a website it's like playing Russian roulette. You're better off calling owners of the units directly if you can find a number. Great location but definitely didn't receive amenities as promised. read more
