I debated doing this review but once I got home and saw what my hair looks like in the back for the money I paid, I just need to say something about this. I went in wanting my hair blonde again and cut short and showed her the picture below of what I wanted, which is a picture of me from a few years ago done by my old stylist in Vegas. I proceeded to get the worst cut I've ever gotten. The color was originally grey but they were able to fix the front at least but the back has no color. It looks like my natural color even though they dyed it and charged me for multiple bowls of color because my hair is thick. I paid almost 400 dollars for this haircut which I am used to paying my old stylist for my hair to look like the picture I showed her. Instead I got Kate Gosselin from Kate plus 8 circa early 2000's. I don't think this chop job that was done to the back and cutting it so short was really a 400 dollar job. I think everyone would agree looking at these pictures. I feel like I should have been offered a discount since both the color and cut were not what I asked for. The stylist knew I didn't like it because I was crying in the chair and told her I didn't like. I told her I looked like an old lady with the color and the cut was too short though it was to late to fix the shortness. When she started cutting, the chair was turned away from the mirror so I didn't see until it was too late. The owner came up to try to fix it and that's when the damage to the back took place and then she cut herself and bled all over me. It was just a nightmare of an experience and now I wonder if I will be able to find anyone in NWA who can do hair to the level I'm used too. I don't think the stylist I had or the owner are of the experience level to be charging that much. I hate to say that bc the girl I had was very nice but I told her ahead of time I have very thick hair, it takes several hours to do my hair and I wanted to go back full blonde from my natural darker color. I'm just very disappointed and to top it off I'm postpartum and already feel pretty awful about my appearance and thought this would make me feel better. Instead, I feel worse about myself and am embarrassed to leave the house until this grows out. Update: They did refund the full amount of the cost once they saw this review which I do really appreciate. Also the stylist I got this cut from was Gracen and the owner did the back. There may be other stylists at Copper and Oak that could do a better job, and I wouldn't want to take away business from them. I only have this one experience with this particular stylist and the owner to go off of. read more

It went well for needing a haircut on short notice. If I lived in the area I would go back.

I have been going to Kristen Golden (Floyd) for the past 3 years. Recently, she hasn't done good. Waiting 30 minutes before she starts on my hair cause she's running behind. She rushes me through appointment, has someone else dry my hair, choppy, uneven hair, color wasn't right, thick, chunky hair on the sides and yet she doesn't want to give full refund. Also,got a rash from the wipes she used all over my forehead and cheeks. To make things worse, I sat there for 3 1/2 hours all because she was running behind .Not worth the money,go somewhere else ! After getting another stylist opinion, Kristen had left the color foils in to long causing damage and split ends. My left ear has been bothering me since I got my hair done from her washing my hair and letting the water run into my ear which has caused ans infection. Also, when she shampoos your hair and gives the "head massage " she does it to hard and to close to the temples even though after telling her several times before to be gentle. read more

All I can say is "At Last" I have found a person in NW Arkansas that absolutely hands down understands the art of installing hair extensions. It truly is an art. It's beyond important to know Hair placement, how to cut so there are no demarcation lines and to be able to purchase quality hair that can be custom colored. People.... I have been trying to get a CONSULTATION not even an appointment to get a haircut since the end of march at this place because of the reviews of how good they are with curly hair. I rescheduled the first appointment however every single one since then (which have been weekly) I have had to leave work early and find arrangements for my kids to get home from school. I live an hour away (which I have mentioned multiple times) and yet the stylist has rescheduled every time. This last time was the final straw. I was sitting in the parking lot and got a call saying she couldn't give me fifteen minutes of her time. I asked the receptionist if there was ANYONE in the salon who was willing and to squeeze me in for FIFTEEN MINUTES but there was no one. You'd think since their policy for the customer to call 24 hours in advance if plans change that the rules should also be abided by the stylists. I will never go nor will I ever recommend them to anyone no matter how great their stylists are their attention for a new customer is below standard. read more

Great place and I can't say enough good things about not only the professional atmosphere but the superb, skilled and amazing work the ladies do that work there! I was in the area family matters, and decided I need to get a haircut before I headed back home. I called several places and this was the only place I could get a hold of, and they were able to get me in at 1:30, when I called at about 1130. Shontelle is great and has plenty of experience! Wanted to try a stylist. Ignored on the first few contacts. Their website says "contact stylists" vis instagram links. Tried that, no response. Door says they do walk ins. They do not. Finally someone contacted my short message about being ignored. Said all the right things. Scheduled me. Had a girl cut my hair. She did an OK job, but didn't pay very good attention to my input. NO big deal, first time. Not a bad job, but mentioned I was trying a higher end stylist to do a better job than the typical place. With all the hoopla and how selective they are... just not what I expected the first time. Needed another cut, decided to go back again. Tried to contact Sarah via her instagram link, but up pops someone else's Instagram. No response. Unprofessional. Don't attempt to use Instagram as the business tells you. I never got a response from any stylist. Sent an email about Sarah's availability. I was given 2 times that were very inflexible. Nothing flexible within a week. Asked for another stylist since they have a bazillion listed in their site. Was told "We only have one stylist that can do a men's haircut" . Uhhh, then you should probably just remove the "Men's Haircut" from your services. Long story short, and I've read some other reviews that mirror the treatment I have received... If you are a guy... skip this place. Apparently they don't want your business and will act accordingly. As such, my experience was not worth the hassle for an average haircut. As a guy... By 1:15 that same day, I was sitting in a chair speaking with Ashley Atkinson. The stars aligned for me that day because she is an absolute hair coloring master. She is new to the area, but has many years of experience) and I highly encourage you to schedule an appointment with her. Not only will you leave the salon feeling like a new person, but you can look forward to a wonderful conversation. Ashley is very knowledgeable and I felt confident letting her work on my hair. Not a good salon if you are looking for a new stylist. Ashley was very rude and unprofessional. She wanted to bleach my hair and I explained I've had my hair colored for years and never had to have it bleached before. Her response was either have my hair bleached or leave. I left. I've never had an experience like this at any salon. Save your time and try some place different. read more
