I originally gave 5 stars because the staff and doctor seemed helpful during my first visit. But my…read moreongoing experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. *I was never told the medication I was prescribed wasn't covered by my insurance. *The pharmacy they use for testosterone treatment doesn't accept any insurance, which is absurd. It took them almost a week just to ship the medication -- and now I'm left waiting even longer. *Reaching the doctor has been a complete nightmare. There's no good way to communicate. When I finally left a message, it took 3-4 days to get a response. When I called, I was on hold for 45 minutes, then someone just hung up on me. *I ended up having to pay out of pocket for medication that should've been covered, just because no one communicated anything clearly. This has been a waste of time, money, and patience. Once they get your payment, it really feels like you're on your own. They need to fix their communication and pharmacy process -- patients deserve better.

Get ready for a long long wait, and appointments 2 months down the road. Before Urology of Indiana (UoI) bought Summit Urology, I could get thru immediately to Summit by phone. Also, my new urologist at UoI is just at the Bloomington office one day a week, and he must drive 60 miles to get there. This is way beyond inconvenient. This is what happens when Finance majors take over healthcare. I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere as UoI has destroyed patient access to care. I will take a line from one of the other reviews about this location. if I could give this 0 stars…read morethat would still be more than what they deserve. I had an appointment that was made for 11:30. I was sent a link that they texted me a link that I was suppose to fill out paperwork before coming in for my appointment. After clicking on the link and getting a login set up there was no information about the appointment and no forms to fill out. So I thought I would get there early to be able to get the paperwork completed on time. I got to the building at 11:02 (thanks GPS) got into the building and to the checking desk at 11:06. Walk up to the employee checking people in and got absolutely zero greeting. There was an iPad that was sitting on the counter so I asked the employee "do I check in on the iPad"? The employee replied with an unenthusiastic "nope". Then the standard whats your name? Who are you here to see? After getting everything set up I was able to login to the app and fill out the paperwork. The person checking people in stated that I was "checked-in" for my appointment and to have a seat. This was the time that I was able to finish the paperwork. I was able to get that done and I checked my watch it was then 11:27. I thought "perfect timing, appointment is at 11:30". I then sat in the busy waiting room and watched as every other person there got called back for their appointment. I could see that they were busy but I thought I would just check the time to see how far off they were. It was now 11:45. I figure I would give them 15 more minute. At 11:50 I wanted to check the ETA. the same person that "checked me in" said that they are "running a little behind". I thought thats fine your busy. She did state that I am "the next in line". I sat back down and waited. Now 12 o'clock rolled around around this time a PF. Changs food delivery happened. Now it looked like doctors and nurses were leaving for their lunch breaks. I check the time again and it was now 12:15 I was now the only person left in the waiting room. At this time I was beyond waiting. I told the employee I have now been here for almost an hour and a half. This is when the employee started getting information. I was here for the appointment to get labs and testing done. So now after waiting alot longer then I have should have ever waited the same employee that "checked me in" told me that my appointment was for a "drop off". So she then informed me that I needed to take a sample cup leave and make another appointment to come back and drop my sample off. She then asked me "do you have your sample to drop off now?" This would have been a great question to ask when I first got there and "checked in". I am glad that I sat there for and hour and a half to achieve absolutely nothing. I would not recommend going to this location for anyone. Even my worse enemy. I drove 30 mins to get there, waited 1 and a half hours and drove 30 mins to get home. So all together 2 and a half hours for absolutely nothing. Do not go here or if you absolutely need to go there tell them that they need to do their job and check and double check your appointment so they know what they are actually doing there.

He is located close to Naab Road and Ascension St. Vincent Hospital on 86th Street. Parking isn't an issue with a large, free parking lot and the building is wheelchair accessible with automated door buttons. Scheduling appointments are easy, wait times on phone and in waiting room is normally short. The office environment is comfortable and the staff is friendly, efficient and responsive. They offer pre-registration, which I highly recommend, as it saves time at your appointment. The office requires face masks and follows all the Covid-19 safety guidelines. Dr. Ludwig is professional but comfortable and amiable. I had a surgical procedure 3 years ago and it went very well. He is respectful, listens well, explains procedures so I can understand and answers all my questions. He always spend an appropriate amount of time at my appointment and doesn't seem rushed. I'm having another procedure in 3 weeks and trust him totally. And those who are interested in his credentials here are the highlights. He joined Urology of Indiana in 2010. Dr. Ludwig graduated with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internship and residency in Urology at Scott & White Hospital, Texas A & M Health Science Center in Temple, Texas. He is affiliated with Ascension, St. Vincent Hospital and Hancock Regional Hospital. He sees patients in many offices around the Indianapolis Metro areas in addition to offering two integrated Cancer Center for Prostate Cancer. If you need a Urologist I recommend Dr. Ludwig and pre-register to save time.

The staff is outstanding and caring including doctors, techs and support staff. You don't get a bunch of students working on you like other area hospitals. We have never had to wait long for examination. The hospital is clean and waiting areas comfortable. Parking is easy. The one thing I don't like is their mobile check-in system. In fact, I think it is the worst check in system in the country. I resent having to upload personal information through a 3rd party web site. I despise not being able to adjust the contract that they force you to sign before treatment. I only took off one star, but I would rate the mobile check in a zero star.
