I noticed this store right away because I walk down Corso dei Tintori quite frequently and their cute window displays have always caught my attention. I have been in a couple of times and the staff has always been very helpful and kind, without being overly attentive. They have a great selection of clothes ranging from jeans to swimwear, jackets, shoes and backpacks/purses, all of which contain popular Streetwear brand names. The prices are a bit high, but luckily things go on sale at the end of the season, which is when I bought a skunkfunk purse 50% off. This store offers an fairly equal amount of men and women's fashions. I like how I can find a lot of brands that use eco-leather and "kinder" products here. What a scam!!!!!! This company says on their US website that…read moreyou have 15 days to receive a full return. Well....apparently not so, because when I tried to return my bikini (I bought many to choose the one I like) they told me: "We're currently having issues with UPS and their return labels not being created properly. We're working hard on solving this issue as soon as possible." A week later the label is still not showing AND nobody is replying the customer services emails. I will wait a few more days before I report them to the Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Then I called the US phone number +1 855 564 2351 on their site. It took me to a spanish/latin language immediately. When I finally reached the english department, the woman said they can not make changes to the orders; that their system doesn't allow it. I asked to verify my address on my order and she said to wait until shipment confirmation and check my address there. I finally said, you know, this is all very sketchy, can you please just cancel my order, She said her system would not allow it. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager or supervisor. I insisted even after she said they were not available. Then she put me on hold and came back asking for my order number and that she would cancel it. Even though she said their system was incapable... she said she would make an exception. She was very snappy and offended that when I asked her to spell her name for reference that I didn't understand her European alphabet... Even though I was obviously an American calling the US number. Hopefully my order is cancelled. I will be contacting my credit card company to make sure they are not allowed to process the order. But long story short, everything about this company is super sketchy. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Even if Julia Roberts did do an ad with them... not worth it.

What can I say, trying to find your wedding dress is such a delicate and personal thing. I went…read morethrough blood, sweat and (mostly) tears trying to find something for my special day and after almost giving up, I met Anna. A few friends of mine suggested that I go to an atelier but thinking that would mean the dress would cost too much, I didn't. However, I live in the Oltrarno neighborhood, and always walked my dog on via serragli, where Anna's studio is located. After spotting beautiful, whimsical creations in the window jutting out from the street. I finally sent her an email, I thought, if anything, I could cover her on the blog. We met and I told her my nightmare stories of wedding dress shopping in Italy. The horrible cupcake dresses that weighed 100 pounds and made me look like a sad barbie. Ironically, many of them were made in Spain -- and I wanted to something made-in-italy 100%. She listened, shook her head at the right parts and shared a little about herself. It was then that I knew she was the person to make my dress. In fact, we settled on a price and type which was much more affordable than I imagined (ok you're not going to get a handmade dress for 1,500) but you get my drift. Every step of the way, I was involved and it was so much fun doing this in her absolutely gorgeous studio space. Audrey Hepburn would have approved! We picked the lace together, bolts of different types laid upon her sofa, and the skirt. Anna was so easy to work with and a lot of fun too, she just 'gets' it when you are going through such a stressful period with wedding planning. My dress turned out to be everything I hoped and more. It's so beautiful that I wore it a second time and a party we had in Texas. Every detail is intricate and telling. Anna's dresses tell a story, and she continues an art that you don't see a lot of anymore. Satorialists who believe in what they do, in tiny studious all around Italy. I am still in awe of it all, and can suggest her to anyone looking for an amazing dress. She is simply the best.
