My Eighty-Seven-Year-Old Mother in law's water heater broke and leaked water in her den. We called this company and was quoted $200.00. Once they came out and accessed the damage, they quoted her $900.00. Once they finished the work, they increased it to $1,900.00. My mother-in-law reluctantly paid the $1900.00 but was left with pieces of wet carpet under the furniture which left it dangerous for her to stay in the house. She then had to pay someone else to finish what they left behind. A big ripoff!!! This company should be sued and out of business!!!!!! read more

When I purchased my new home, the first carpet cleaning service didn't do that great of a job. I had them to clean just two bedrooms on fairly new carpet. I had Coop to clean the rest of my carpets upstairs where I originally wanted to replace with hardwood flooring. The carpet had the worst smell. The precious owners had dogs. I just knew the carpet was ruined. Coop did an amazing job in getting rid of the smell. I damaged the carpet in one of the rooms pairing because I just knew I had to remove it. He made the carpet look and smell brand new for the entire upstairs. Minus the paint stained carpet, I am able to keep the rest and will be using Coop every year to clean from now on. read more

I'm a realtor and was referred to Cooper for Air duct cleaning. My master bedroom/bathroom/closet vents have mold. That was my main concern. Mold still present and awful smell when I put on AC. Cooper was nice and seemed to know what he was doing. My mistake for not doing enough research. I ended up paying over $1000 to clean all my vents and dryer vent plus mold mediation/Fog chemical that suppose to kill the mold spores. For what I paid, very disappointed. My husband and I feel like we were robbed. I also tried to reach out but no response. I have contacted another company that will offer me a one year warranty and finish the job that was not done correctly for only a small fee. Stay away from this company; SCAM ALERT! Arrived promptly (even a few minutes early) and quickly got started. I watched the entire process of cleaning, steaming and drying and our rug looks as good as new. Terrible service. These guys showed up and immediately began trying to upsell. They promised 3 rooms for $75 and it jumped to $180 because they said we had pet stains. After I said my dog has never had an accident in the house, the guy said it looked like just a sprinkling from when he got excited. (My dog has never had this problem, by the way.) So the price more than doubles to clean up a small sprinkling of dog urine? After 20 minutes of work (max) they left my carpet wet...not clean. Just wet. Zero difference. They also put my expensive couch back on top of wet carpet. When I called them back about that they assured me that area was "dry cleaned." I'm nearly 8 months pregnant and was desperately trying to move the couch so it wouldn't mold and ruin. Great service! The owner of this company should be embarrassed. read more

The owner of this company does not fix problems. This is the same company reviewed from Huffman, Texas. A girl who reviewed on that listing said the same thing I'm saying--carpet was left wet and gross smelling. Owner is extremely argumentative, rude, and condescending when you call attempting to explain a problem, essentially talking over you and talking so much that you give up. I asked him several times to stop talking so I could better explain it. Nope. He kept picking apart my words. His job is to help me. He works in customer service. All he wants to do, however, is argue. Could not shut his mouth for 30 seconds to just listen. He said we had 72 hours to report a problem. That's interesting because that's the first I'm hearing about that timeline--today, a week later. We went out of town for the holidays, expecting the smell to have gotten better, but it's still terrible. The two guys that came to do the service looked about 12, and obviously did a poor job because our bedroom now smells of wet dog. I believe they put too much water into the carpets, which is why the top of the carpet was dry 12 hours later, but not the bottom. He said it should have all been dry in 4-6 hours. That didn't happen. It didn't used to smell of wet dog. When I told him that, his response was 'We didn't bring a wet dog to your house.' Duh, dude. I didn't think you did. I think you sent inexperienced teenagers over here, they did a lousy job of cleaning the carpets, got them too wet, and they didn't dry properly. We paid extra to remove any pet odors, and now we have no urine smell (great) but we can barely stand to be in the room due to the 'wet dog' smell. A week later still as bad as right after they 'cleaned' it. I am giving up and going to have it re-cleaned by someone else. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I LOVE COOP'S!!! I've used Coop's for several years. The owner is very friendly, professional and very courteous. His crew is the same. They do an awesome job. My carpets are getting older and this last visit we had a 15 month old dog since she was 6 weeks old. My carpets look like new. So bright and creamy white again. LOVE COOP's. I just had a man from Coops come to my home for a scheduled carpet cleaning (that my husband scheduled even though I told him to call Scott's) and I've never been so afraid in my entire life. He joked about how sexy he was, smelled of booze, slurred his speech, couldn't stand up straight and couldn't figure out how to open the door to his own van! He was the creepiest man I've encountered this closely in my entire life. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - especially if you're a female who is home alone. Last year I was moving into a new house in Bellaire, and decided to have the carpets cleaned on the second floor. Coop's was the only company that responded and agreed to do the work before Thansgiving. They came on time, but then the upselling began. Oh, your carpet has pet stains on them and yes there are stains here and there and with our new expensive enzyme chemicals we will do the miracle in removing but for that you have to agree to the enhanced package, blah blah blah, etc. I did not watch what they were doing since I had to be at work, but after 40 minutes I got a call back saying that they have finished and i 'd better hurry because they have other jobs to do. So I came wondering how they were able to do all five bedrooms in just 40 minutes, but I guess they are professionals. During the payment the guy chatted about how he will take me to court if the check does not clear. When we walked around the carpet pet stains were still there, so I asked whats the heck? He ran back to the car and came with a bottle of yet another chemical and sprayed upon them and claimed that they now will definitely disappear. Overall carpet cleaningresults were disappointing, $400 went down the drain. I did not see any difference between "before" and "after". Later I bought rug doctor carpet cleaning machine and it produced a noticeably better result that those people that call themselves professionals. read more

This is the third or fourth time I've used Coop's Carpet Cleaning service. We've always been satisfied with their service. Previous times we used the basic service as advertised in "Money Mailer.". This time, the carpets were in much worse condition, so we upgraded to the Pet Stain Package (We have two dogs and two cats). It was an additional fee that more than doubles the price, but we knew we had an excessive amount of pet stains. The "pet process" is mostly, if not entirely used to remove odors from the animal accidents both before and especially after the cleaning process. We had done some prep work in advance including vacuuming about 3 times and removing all the furniture from any and all carpet surfaces. The owner and an assistant performed the work and took their time to do a thorough job (not rushing in and out as if we were just another number). The carpets looked 100% better when they were finished. The carpets were dry within about 12-15 hours. Once the carpets were dry, we could still see some residual stains reappear. We had been warned over the phone in advance and on site in advance that yellow pet stains will not come entirely clean because they act like dye to hair. So, we knew the carpets wouldn't look as they did 14 years ago when they were new and had never seen any wear (which in fairness should be a no brainer assumption). I called to ask them to recheck the stains to see if they were the stubborn ones I had been warned about or if anything else could be done. The owner believed them to be the stubborn ones, but he still agreed to hook up his equipment and redo the carpets in question. Mind you, he didn't just do a few stains, he re-cleaned the entire room and hallway. I'm not sure if he was right or wrong, but either way, he stood behind his service and bottom line took care of me and my doubts. He also came promptly as scheduled and responded initially and on the call back within 1 business day. On a previous visit, during their peak season, the owner personally cleaned my carpets on Christmas Eve. Final recap: if your expectations are realistic, Coop's Carpet Cleaning will get the job done right and you will be much happier with your carpets and be able to enjoy your home again!
