That qualifies me as a fried chicken authority, if only by osmosis. The chicken comes regular or spicy, with the spicy being an attempt to emulate Popeyes (I guess), the Louisiana chain. It's not Popeyes, but it is spicy, and not bad. The regular is not spicy and, perhaps, a little bland. The side dishes aren't anything to write home about, except the rice, which I always request instead of fries. It's well made rice with a few spices and raisins. Good. The cole slaw is alright, nothing great, except that it is not drowned in mayonnaise, as one so often sees. Overall, it is honest fried chicken. If there were a KFC, or especially, a Popeyes, I might go there instead. But it makes me quite happy to see the folks here making a serious effort and, to a large extent, succeeding.
