This is more like a Coop's in the Midwest, Kroger's in the Southeast, Food Lion/Publix along the coast. That means their prices may be labeled as "higher" but they offer sales/deals which balances if you pick up the sales and get out.
Stopped in here to look for black pepper as Rema 1000 didn't have much of anything which means limited, if any, seasonings. This Coop has a butcher display case, seafood, and deli like set up. They are in a shopping center with other vendors which is convenient and steps away from the bus stop.
Check out is simple. Everyone always ask "would you like a bag?" which I initially took to mean there would be a charge if we took a bag but I think it's more about people bring their own? Or folks just skip it because we were asked this question at the clothing store and I definitely don't bring my own bags to a retail clothing store.
With that, this place has liquor of sorts, Coke and other sodas, fresh looking seafood. Accepts cards. At least 4 register lanes to check out. A diverse employment staff. read more
