I think this place is known for its beers, but we were doing campari spritzes and stuck with it as we perused the menu. We ordered a mozzarella di bufala appetizer and each had a pasta. Mine was the Genovese specialty - Trofie Pasta Genovese - and my dining companion ordered a ravioli dish. Both were excellent, but the Trofie was a revelation. Just drowning in the basil pesto and the pasta pieces were so unique and the texture so perfect. We loved our meal and the service was excellent. We were helped by two different young women who seemed like international students or travelers - seemed like English was their first language. So glad we chose to luxuriate on the square - it was fun to people watch and be in such a lively place for a few hours.

Very helpful and prices are more than fair. Besides some bread, good cakes and cookies they had two items that we fell in love with. One is called "Il Pestarino", a house specialty. Homemade marzipan covered with chocolate and powdered sugar. It's not store-bought marzipan. Handmade marzipan is so different. And this one here is amazing. The other item is similar to a truffles chocolate praline. Really handmade production again. Wonderful and creamy filling, with a touch of some rum or something similar. Delicious. Bought a whole bunch of both to bring home. Easy to store in the fridge. They last for a while. A real great Pasticceria. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.
