We found CoolWag because we were unhappy with our other boarding options in the area. From the first time I stepped into their facility to check it out, I knew they had a GREAT thing going. THE PEOPLE: Heather, Eric, and team truly care for your dog when you are away. While we were gone, they sent daily texts to let us know how Darby was doing. They noticed peculiar behavior in our dog that you would only know if you spent time interacting with her. Also, Darby didn't adjust as quickly to spending the night away from home and barked a lot the first night or two. Shockingly, Eric allowed her to stay with him in the apartment they have on site (There is someone onsite 24/7). THE FACILITY: It. Is. Amazing. My first reaction was that I can't believe any of these dogs really want to go home. The large indoor facility with a wading pool is connected to two large outdoor play areas that the dogs can access at their leisure. They are in the process of adding another wading pool outside as well. Fresh water is abundantly available for the dogs as they play. The interior portion of the facility is set up so dogs can be segregated, if needed (smaller vs large, etc). If your dog is being boarded, it'll have it's own room to which you can add your own crate, blanket, or other home comforts. Heather and Eric have a simple philosophy - let your dog be a dog. Another boarder in the area told us our dog would not get along with other dogs, so they refused to keep her. Eric introduced Darby to the other dogs slowly. He knew which dogs were easy going and gave her time to adjust to them before introducing her to the rest of the animals. Our dog historically would get nervous around bigger dogs, but when we picked her up, she was running and playing with the big dogs. There were no problems and she adjusted well to the group after being given a little time and space. CoolWag does cost a little more (very little) than other boarders in the area but, hands down, THEY ARE THE BEST. If you want someone that is attentive to your dog and cares for their well being, do yourself a favor and spend the couple of extra bucks. It was well worth it. read more

Love love this place. This cage free, expansive, and exceptionally personable environment provides a fun filled playground by day, and the best temporary 'home away from home' for overnight stays. Our pup has just enjoyed a fantastic two week 'summer camp' in the company of Ms. Heather and the CoolWag Team. Between the frequent pictures, videos' and emails shared over the course of her stay, and timely assurances provided after the tornado warnings sounded in the middle of the night, (our phones were still tuned to Bentonville weather), this 'helicopter mom' could not be more satisfied, happy, or more comfortable, in the knowledge that our little girl was in caring and capable hands while her mom and dad were out of town. Watching Bentonville weather from afar during the huge storms this past week, we were so appreciative of CoolWag and the overnight staff for facilitating a safe and warm place for pup to snuggle with the 'pack', rather than be left scared and alone in her room. We picked up a happy and exhausted pup today! Her morning romps with the big dogs is something I am sure she will miss. It is obvious she has enjoyed herself immensely, and she was so nicely groomed and clean! Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back. read more

We dropped our 6-month old Goldendoodle with CoolWag yesterday so he could have some fun and mom could get some work done. He absolutely loved it. He played so much that he slept soundly from right after he ate dinner until the following morning. There is so much room to run and play both inside and outside. Other dogs to play with (but not too many), and 24/7 supervision to make sure everyone is playing nice. Yes, your little furbaby might get a little dirty since they'll likely be having the time of their lives playing outside (where there is dirt) or even doing a little swimming in one of the wading pools. That's why they have a dog bath that is free for customers to use if you want to bring Sparky home squeaky clean. They'll also give them a quick rinse with the hose if you let them know in advance what time you'll be picking him/her up. The owners are absolute gems and you can tell this is a passion project for them. It's obvious that they care very much about what they do, and your furbaby will be getting the best treatment a furparent could ask for. read more

We just moved here and I am so glad I found CoolWag. My pup has always been fearful and anxious--or at least he was. Not anymore! As an overprotective pet mom, I'll admit I was just as anxious as he was. From the very beginning, their process eased my mind. The initial temperament testing was more thorough than I could have imagined. They took the time to explain everything, spent real one-on-one time getting to know my dog and his personality, and kept me updated throughout the day. Within 2 hours I received a text update, and when I picked him up after 4 hours, they gave me a detailed report and patiently answered all my questions. Beyond their incredible care, the facility itself is spotless, beautiful, and truly feels like a luxury pet resort--not just your average boarding place. I have 2 medium size dogs, who are my family. I had to make a 4 day trip out of town that they could not go with me. My girls & I went & checked out the facility a head of the trip. The girls were very welcomed and the staff was very professional at introducing the dogs with the others that were there. They went back for my trip. I received pics and they answered questions I had as to their adjustment, promptly. The girls had baths when I picked them up. One of my dogs has anxiety issue of being away from me. I can guarantee they did an excellent job of caring for her. When I returned she was happy and content. They were very clean. Actually exhausted from the stay. Which was a good thing. Thus told me they had a great time. I can read my dogs well. Guarantee I will use them again. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

We absolutely adore Cool Wag. I will not let but about two family members even keep our precious pup. Before I got him I visited Cool Wag. I was very interested in the concept of NO CAGES. I loved Eric and Heather, the owners. I got such good vibes from them. The nicest people in the world. They let me just hang around a while and I knew this place was for me. Our Boston cannot wait to go. The minute we turn in he is just scratching to get out and play! Brandy, the groomer is excellent. After a day or particularly an overnight, Brandy will bathe and (clip or not) your pup and in our case, he is ready to jump back in our bed to sleep. Cool Wag is just win/win for us. I trust them completely and I really like everyone there. I would give them ten stars if I could. read more

This is the coolest dog designed boarding facility! Boarding usually means putting your dog in a shelter type facility with cages and dogs crying every time someone walks in. CoolWag is a dog country club with ponds, leather couches and chairs for lounging and sleeping. Our dog had been in a shelter for 15 months before we adopted her, so we were very concerned about leaving her at all, let alone in a cage with other fearful dogs around her. At CoolWag, she was allowed to transition at her own pace and loves spending afternoons with her pals in addition to spending extended stays. The staff is well trained and very accommodating. We hate leaving our baby, but we know she's having fun at CoolWag. read more

I was very nervous about leaving my pets anywhere--they had never been boarded and my bulldog is 12 1/2 years old. My younger dog was declined at another facility because they feared she would jump the fence and run away. Cool Wag happily took both our dogs. The facility was very secure so there was zero chance of the younger dog getting out and running off. And the 12 1/2 year old dog was given extra TLC and allowed to hang out in the front office, since she sleeps 95% of the day and prefers to be left alone. I moved to Arkansas a couple of years ago and needed to find good boarding for my precious Katie. I have very high standards. I visited many kennels that were high rated but didn't find any that lived up to my expectations. Then I found Cool Wag. Both Kaitie and I felt comfortable as soon as we entered the door. Coolwag is an amazing place for dog lovers. I leave my puppy there each day as I go to work. At first it felt like I was dropping my kid off at kindergarten, but I felt at ease when I met the Coolwag staff. They have a passion for dogs and treat each one as if it is their own. Their facilities are great for the dogs. They have a huge indoor/outdoor area for the dogs to play and when your dog is tired it gets it's own hotel room. They never put the dog in a cage the entire time it's there. They also offer grooming, training, and overnight stays. This place is tge absolute Ritz Carlton for dogs whether for just a play day or overnight boarding or even a extended stay ( ours were there for a week one time). Huge Staff to take care of the numerous fur babies which they categorize according to size for playtime, swimming, etc. The Staff is very hands on and truly love their jobs, you will never be told "No... we don't have time to do that for your dog". My dogs have been coming here for about 5 years now and they absolutely love it! They take amazing care of my 13 year old dog who is a grumpy old lady and give her the individualized attention she needs! My youngest dog absolutely loves getting to play with all of his friends, and my middle dog gets all the love and cuddles he needs while getting individual attention and care since he isn't a huge fan of other dogs. No doubt about it, these folks love what they do. The dogs are well cared for and happy. I have used their services for daycare and boarding. No crates, just a homelike atmospere that my boy LOVES. Duke has lots of buddies, and plays so hard when he comes home he sleeps so deeply he rolled over on the couch and didn't even wake up when he hit the rug. He gets plenty of exercise, so if I don't feel like dog walking it's not a big deal. I know when I am gone he is staying at his "other home". He LOVES CoolWag and I do too. read more

We love Coolwag! They treat my pup like family and she absolutely adores everyone there. They have tons of activities for the dogs, so they don't get bored. They are also very in tune with each dog's personality and behavior, so they know how to divide the groups for playing, watch for any behavior/health changes and make recommendations for improved care. I have been using CoolWag for drop in care for my Golden Retriever puppy for a few months now and the staff are always friendly and professional as well as accommodating. My dog is very social and is always excited to go play with the other dogs when I drop her off. I have used their grooming service a few times to give the puppy baths and they always leave a bow on her collar which is a nice touch. I recently used the grooming service so she could get a trim and they did a great job! read more

We took our 7 mo. Old pups for an introduction today and they seemed to really enjoy it. We weren't sure how they would do with other dogs but they were introduced to the group slowly and the attendant would pick them up and love on them occasionally which made them feel almost as good as it did us. Cool wag delivers a dog park experience in a doggy daycare setting. So much space for my pup to roam , play, and burn tons of energy ( and he has lots of that).
