This place is a lifesaver!! This Party place has saved me multiple times now. I've ordered a banner and sparklers online that broke the day before a wedding I was having. As I panicked,I found this place and they had all the items I needed last minute. Fast forward to this past weekend I had a gender reveal and the confetti canons I ordered online were wrong! So I came to this place 30min before the party and they had the correct Confetti canons for the party. I definitely recommend this place. All the employees are nice. Not really happy with this place. They have a great selection of items for many many occasions, HOWEVER, the customer service is on the opposite end of the spectrum. The last time I visited this store I was greeted upon entering. I was looking for military costume items. I searched the store no less than 30 minutes, walking by one gentleman SEVERAL times. He never acknowledged me or offered to assist me. Once I finally figured out where some of the items that I needed were located, I proceeded to the counter where I was checked out by a very friendly gentleman. Today I returned to the store to return an item I had purchased. The young lady that greeted me was nice as well. The same person that walked past me previously rudely came to the front stating "store policy clearly states that costumes cannot be returned" and turned and walked away leaving me standing there. I asked another associate what that person's name was. Suse she stated. Well Suse is rude and not customer friendly. If I never return to this store, (and I probably won't) Suse is the reason. No matter how good the selection is, it's all about attitude (good or bad) that will determine if they will get my business. So long CoolKat...see you never! read more

My sisters gender reveal balloon was amazing and everything was perfect for the party. They were able to put confetti, glitter, and extra balloons into the bigger balloon for only like $30. The customer service was awful. We've always had a good experience at their Kuykendahl location and was highly disappointed with their new one by 2920 and I45. The woman working was very unhelpful, rude and texted the entire time while checking us out. Will not be returning. Update: Thank you to the owner who reached out to me based on this review. His concern and dedication for his customers is something you don't see often. I purchased items for my moms 60th birthday party. My sister also purchased something's from Amazon. We ended up using the things from Amazon. When I went to return the items, they refused one item and would only offer a store credit. One of the workers noted the return policy in small print at the bottom of the reciept. There is no signage or discussion of their return policy in the store. The owner/manager then tried to explain backstory and inventory to me.....what does that have to do with returning my money??? You are going to resale these items. I can understand if I was trying to return an opened package of glow in the dark forks, but these are items that were unused. Even though this is the closest party store to me I will gladly take my business to Arnes or Party City. I am an advocate for customer service, as I am also a business owner. I visited Cool Kat to get party supplies and balloons for my daugters 21st birthday. I have nothing but nice things to say about my experiance. Every staff memeber that crossed my path asked if i need help. I was greeded with a welcome when i came thru the door. Even though the store was busy they didnt rush me on my questions and did everything possible to help me out even helping me carry my balloons to the car. Great customer service!!! Also id like to mention this store is huge well organized and has EVERYTHING! One staff member even told me if they didnt have something i needed it could possibly be ordered. I was so happy with the pricing as well and found them to be much cheaper than Party City. I highly recommend checking them out before you shop else where. This newer warehouse location had some nice and attentive employees working there in the middle of October when I first visited. We decided to return because we enjoyed the friendly service we received before . I visited around Christmas time again and the store had basically no employees there. My Mother-In-Law and I over heard this older man very disrespectfully talking to the employee. My Mother-In-Law and I could not believe anyone who talks to employees like that would be employed as any type of authority figure. Now leading up to today talking with my coworker about an upcoming party... I brought up the selection of stores to go to and said Cool Kat was a place I use to recommend and explained what happened. She mentioned going into this store and she mentioned how the customer service hadn't been the same. We decided to do some internet searching to see if they switched owners or what happened. Come to find out off of a video to promote this store that horrible "manager" is Glenn the owner. I do not care if you are a millionaire but someone needs to teach him how to properly manage his employees. My coworkers, business parties, family members, and anyone who asks will be directed towards Party City for our recommendation. I pity those who work there as I'm sure very soon they will all quit like the original staff I'm sure did. read more
