I hadn't visited for years, being in Cornwall and all, so last time I went in, I was pleasantly suprised by the transformation - there's a big cake counter with loads of luscious looking goodies, and I have to admit I gave in to temptation and had a wonderful looking cupcake, which tasted just as good as it looked - yumm! They have a great range of fresh cream cakes, doughnuts etc. Their bread is baked on site daily and is delicious. They also make filled baguettes & sandwiches with delicious fillings such as chicken tikka. It is lovely in a time when there are so many large franchise bakeries to see smaller independant bakers still thriving. The service you get at connors is so muche more personal and friendly and I would recommend you go here instead of Greggs!
