Step inside and immediately you feel welcome. All it takes is the smell of great coffee and a genuine smile from staff. I set myself up at a table with a well placed power outlet and got to writing this review. The cafe was busy but not full, perfectly paced for a weekday morning. Quirky artwork for sale drew my attention to the wall and the range of tables and blackboards made for an inviting and charming space. My coffee arrived and it was fantastic, so was the bottle my water came in. I wish I was hungry because a blackboard invited me to look over the menu and to ask for anything! I will definitely be back to this small cafe for a meal. The decor and the staff were exactly what i like in a cafe -extremely charming and quirky.

The baked eggs with sausage, bean, bacon, spinach, poached eggs and cheese really blended together superbly. And the service had zero attitude and a whole lot of friendliness. The menu was fairly substantial and they even let you do half portions of breakfast if you aren't feeling that peckish. But I was ravenous! The eggs were runny and I was given two thick pieces of toasted bread to mop up the yolk infused in with the rest of my dish. Although we went for breakfast, the lunch menu looked pretty comprehensive too. Was very tempted by the bangers and mash with gravy. Will be back soonish to try out the rest of their menu. Overall, great service, inexpensive varied menu, and tasty too.

Solo dinners linger over the Sunday papers, families gather, communal tables mix it up with groups and couples and friends co-eating. Despite the number and range of customers it all seems to flow throughout the two dining rooms well. The counter is tiny and while waiting to settle up you do manage to feel in the way but you can distract yourself by wondering if you could possibly fit one of the yummy looking muffins or slices! I never can after a good sized brunch, but the option is there! The coffee is good (although I have better) and the menu has something to appeal to everyone-the usual brunch standards as well as a few unique options to mix things up. This place is good value and the service chaotic yet usually spot on. Swing by on a weekday and your experience will probably mirror the more relaxed atmosphere.

Brunch rarely ever disappoints and when it's as good as what you are served at giddiup then your day is made. Located around the corner from Coventry street is this small cafe with both outdoor and indoor seating. As soon as I arrived on a Sunday, I was immediately seated. No queues here. The menu has a range of breakfast options with interesting items like chai toast, bread butter pudding with mascarpone, smoked trout rillette and stuffed mushrooms with gruyere and pans-something cheese. There were a few people waiting for takeaway coffees and the cafe offers various coffee blends. I went immediately for the mushroom dish whereas my friend grabbed the pudding. The salads on the menu also looked delectable but alas they are only offered mon to Fri. My massive brunch dish included two large field mushrooms stuffed with cheese and garnished with rosemary. Omg I could smell it from faraway and each bite into the mushroom was creamy and succulent. The sourdough toast had seeds on it and was delicately buttered and just enough. I also got two poached eggs and was full halfway through my meal but it was so good. The bread butter pudding sorts of tastes like a baklava with its crispy yet soft layers and is balanced by the creamy mascarpone. Definitely a nice sweet indulgence and quite filling. The coffees came in babycino cups and were awfully astringent. Not to my liking but nice and creamy and extra hot. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. Seating is crate style, small stools - non posture friendly and wouldn't recommend this place for groups.
