I was looking forward to it because I would be receiving my new hearing aids on this visit. Prior to that, I was given a full hearing exam and it was good to hear that things were mostly the same and no further decline. My audiologist was caring and pretty outstanding in her knowledge and professionalism. I thought she went above board to see that I was taken care of well. My hearing aids were in perfect order and easy to set up once I got home. And thankfully performing very well since! This facility is large. We don't take photos inside the VA Clinics, so the exterior photo will have to do here. We always respect the Vets! I will say my only slight negative is that the staff at the counter for check-in are at times short with me. I'm pretty sure they get treated rough on occasion and get difficult requests. But it's an observation and I hold nothing against them. I just patiently endure! But, overall I've been happy with my visits and hope to keep this audiologist and make future visits as the hearing aids need servicing. After all, Ellianos is only a few blocks away!!

This office has a calm relaxed atmosphere; while other seem very tense. Although they did not take insurance at first they now take the major ones in the area; as well as Medicare. I have seen Dr. Samuel once -- for an earache when his wife was out of the office and he prescribed some medicine which did wonders. You will find me with them for a long time. A couple who have 5 boys; 6 to 16 must have endless patience.

That was my first red flagI showed up for my appointment and I'm the only one there, a lady looks at me and looks back down at her computer, seriously, no good morning or anything, so I said it instead to get her attention, I'm not feeling it at this point. It did not even resemble a Dr's office at all. They took my records and ID and came back to say they didn't take my insurance, my insurance is very common and thru the military!! So I asked for my things back. I could hear the " "Dr." in the background around the corner telling the girls what to say, how unprofessional can you be!!!! I have never left a review like this but this can't be over looked. We want caring doctors so maybe it's a BLESSING that they turned me away I just wished I could have found that out before waiting on the appt, driving out there and putting up with attitudes!!

His style of care has been very interesting but confusing! Throughout him trying to find solutions to help me however, has been giving me mixed signals! One day he would say he is trying to find solution's to my pain experience then the next he & his office staff treats me like I'm a homeless person off the streets! While I was in VA he made sure I was given pain medication for the accident I can say that! However, I broke my neck developed a serious infection in my leg and had to have surgery on both my neck from front to back & my leg was so infected that they spoke of amputation But God saved me and now I'm healing each and every day one day at a time! I am in so much pain everyday! I have been trying to get treated by this office but they turned me away about some Medicare Issues the day of my visit left me with no pain meds! NO one would return my calls, messages and they have been charging me for services NOT rendered! Examples were while I was stuck in the hospital in VA I am showing charges ridiculously for those times! I believe the Billing department has overcharged me numerous times! One month I would have no charges all of a sudden I'm owing thousands of dollars for treatment I did not received in Florida Pain office! I was turned away when I showed up for my appointment one day because they said I did not pay my co-pay! They blamed it on Medicare! However I called Medicare and they said they were good on their end! Everything paid that was sent in and etc! There has been a lot of turnaround situations I get it! But don't say I haven't paid my bills when I know I have! Sometimes the receipts doesn't show your credits on the EOB's as well!!! I want to focus on being pain free NOT more stress!!!

I had two appointments with him pre-surgery and he put me quite at ease with his bedside manner and competency. His staff was very nice and they too expressed that if they needed the surgery they would trust him to take care of them. So surgery was last Friday at UF North and of course like most doctors things were running behind so I had to wait my turn. No big deal except for being hungry. When it was time for surgery the anesthesia doctors were very nice and explained everything. I had a nerve block and then some sleepy time meds and the next thing you know I was done and in recovery asking for some snacks and ginger ale. The recovery nurse was so nice, she said I have chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin granola bars and my response was YES! She started laughing. I won't go into the pain etc, you can go to YouTube and see all the whiners about that stuff. One thing for sure, all this velcro on this sling and sling fanny pack thing is itchy as hell and someone should come up with something to cover this crap. Not sure using pantyliners is outdoor acceptable, but kitchen towels are too heavy and scarfs are too hot. Velcro...my only complaint!

I was discharged from the procedure with a complete report in hand to read later (they explained it at the time but due to anesthesia I didn't remember). Had a follow up in a couple of weeks and she gave me the results of biopsies and recommended how to minimize my risk factors ongoing. I am 62 and definitely recommend Bourland Groover and Dr Barbara!

After paying insane fees for a 20 minute procedure, the doctor schedules your follow up with an incompetent nurse practitioner named Jennie Johnson who is incapable of doing what she says she will. She stated she would order additional tests but never did. Does not respond at all to messages in the portal. Impossible to reach via phone. On top of the total lack of care for patients, they bill you above and beyond what they state while not even following through with obligations on their end. We do not go to the grocery store and pay for groceries that we never receive, why would we do that for medical care.
