They often add nice succulents to landscaping, which serve as cool accents on our property. We got a lot of compliments from neighbors and have been regularly recommending them to our friends in the area. It was so much easier to think about the pricing with an up-front all-included estimate, versus some others who charged us hourly rates for different jobs with unclear completion timelines. In the rare event things don't go according to plan, they are extremely reasonable. We originally discussed and agreed on building 3ft planter boxes, but after putting them together, we all felt they looked too big and they agreed to do some extra work to take it down a foot. They are in demand and they like to spend time on projects to make sure the result is good, so just keep that in mind when scheduling a project!

Ron did a great job remodeling our garage into a gameroom/office…read more This was a substantial project involving drywall, flooring, ceiling, window replacement & electrical work. Ron listened to my requirements, and offered useful suggestions. Him and his colleague worked diligently, and paid a lot of attention to detail. The project took as long as Ron said it was going to take. Ron communicated well throughout the process, keeping us updated on the progress, asking questions in moments of ambiguity, but not overwhelming me with minor details. Overall, I'm very happy with Ron's execution, and would hire him again for future projects.

He looked at our two bathrooms, listened to our family's needs and made suggestions that would work really well with our family style. We talked about pricing, and my caviar tastes probably need some readjustment. I told him I would talk to my husband about budget but I did have a range of quotes. Ron asked politely what they were, and said even if we didn't use him for our project, he would be happy to answer questions or come by if we ever needed a second opinion. No other contractor has done this, and just want to hire him for his personality alone.

Just moved into my house and am just floored by the incredible work done by the team at Greenberg!…read moreI was originally skeptical of such a major remodel - every friend had horror stories of contactors doing sub par work, disappearing, completely, etc. I was really glad to work with Ohad, our project manager for the project. He'd worked with one of our friends previously, and so we knew he'd do a great job for our project. We also loved Greenberg's integrated approach. The architect, constructions, design and management was all done by Greenberg. This meant that the project from top to bottom was aligned with the team actually doing the construction work. My top priorities were 1) a modern home design 2) a job done with high quality 3) low stress. Ohad / Greenberg helped deliver on all of these aspects in spades. The last thing I wanted to do was have to coordinate with flaky contractors, have to re-do low quality work after a long day at work. Ohad kept the project on track and handled all the hassle of dealing with subcontractors & inspectors. Greenberg probably won't be the cheapest contractor you'll talk to, but as the saying goes - you get what you pay for. Quality work, up to code, and no drama is well worth the cost. Ohad worked with us throughout the project to consider different budget options, and gave candid advice about where he thought the budget would be best spent. Overall, highly recommend. I was referred by a friend and have put multiple friends in touch with Greenberg for their projects as well. Everyone is floored by house nice our remodel turned out and will 100% be in touch in the future for any future projects we have.

We'd been planning to renovate our 100yo house for 20 years, but with its corner location and tiny…read moresize, it was near impossible to get permitted by the City of Palo Alto. We went with Greenberg because they knew how to do modern houses and how to deal with the City. We went from horrible hideous uninsulated shack to a gorgeous gem where we can Age in Place! Every single person who has walked in says, "WOW! It's beautiful! It's incredible what you guys have done!" We have friends & professionals who have built/renovated many houses all exclaim what a high-end luxe job this was! We could not have done this without Greenberg. In particular, we worked with the wonderful Ohad Sherion throughout the process who managed all the subs, city departments involved, neighbors, vendors, etc. Our attention was elsewhere as we were very busy with our work, caring for our elders, so it was invaluable that Ohad kept us up-to-date throughout the process. Ohad was able to make our wishes come true, including bathrooms with custom tiles that were no longer available--so he found us an artisan who recreated them by hand. To make the small space look and feel spacious, we went with an open concept which left few walls to hang art. From the beginning, we worked with Ohad to create a design to showcase our art collection. Ohad is persistent and works to get projects not only functional but beautiful. For example, we have a unique front door which needed to be tweaked and he patiently worked with subs to make it happen. My husband was thrilled that we ended up with a house with superb insulation (including sound), up-to-date plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems. He feels great about the new roof and solar panels. But I am in love with the amazing personal details that make this place a home (finally). We are so grateful to Ohad. Go with Greenberg to make your dream come true!

Throughout the entire project, he kept us on track by gently steering us back when we started to drift from our design plan and aesthetics. That kind of honest guidance is rare and invaluable. He truly went above and beyond by sharing his trusted vendors and directing us to the stores he uses personally -- which often had better pricing without sacrificing quality. He also wasn't afraid to tell us when we were leaning toward a product that wouldn't stand the test of time, saving us from costly mistakes down the road. His team was an absolute joy to have in our home -- sweet, respectful, and genuinely helpful every single day. By the end of the project, they felt less like contractors and more like family. If you're looking for someone who will treat your home like their own and deliver results that exceed your expectations, look no further. We couldn't be happier.

Long overdue review! We hired United Pro Handyman (led by Ilya) in January 2024 for a remodel,…read moreincluding relocating an entry door, adding a partition wall, closing off a fireplace, removing built-ins, interior painting, and exterior stucco work. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The main issue arose with the exterior stucco work, which began cracking within days. Ilya sent his guy to fix the problem and his guy just applied another layer of stucco to cover the cracks! After one week, the cracks became evident and had worsened. My husband and I have decided to go with a different contractor to fix this issue. I had informed ILya about this and he initially agreed to reimburse us for a stucco patch. During this time, we decided to legalize the remodel. From the city inspection, we found out that the problem wasn't just superficial--underneath the stucco, we discovered improper waterproofing, incorrect lathing, and screws that did not comply with California code. This oversight could have led to much larger structural issues in the future. When I explained that this was not simply a patch job but required a complete redo of waterproofing, lathing, and screw replacements, Ilya became unresponsive. Alex, the manager, visited our site multiple times during the project in January and even guaranteed a one-year warranty, promising to provide a formal contract after we made full payment. Despite repeated follow-ups with Andrei, the estimator, we never received that contract. If you're considering United Pro Handyman, I strongly advise you to demand a binding quote or contract that includes all warranties before making any down payment. Be cautious of their "choice" between a 10% discount but you pay for the materials or no discount but they will shoulder the cost of materials--insist that they cover materials, especially for larger projects. They purchased unnecessary items, including insulation pads that were never used, resulting in a complete waste of money. As of today, our newly stucco wall is now ready to be painted. We passed all inspections and it feels so good to know everything was done correctly. We regret our decision to work with United Pro Handyman and recommend others proceed with extreme caution.
