My only mistake is making a massage appointment with the massage therapist that works in his office on Wednesday. I was so excited and really needed it. The front staff and several other people had warned me that she has heavy handed, so I hen I arrived I made sure to tell Meredith (the massage therapist) that I can't take a deep tissue massage and to go really easy on my shoulders, neck, and shoulder blade area. I had to tell her over and over to do it softer. She also dug into my head and massaged my skull really hard. I finally turned over to let her do my back. I had already told her that my problem areas were my middle and lower back. She spend so much time torturing my upper body, she had hardly any time to massage my back end she completely skipped my lower back. And the icing on the cake was it was only a 45 min massage even though I paid for an hour. So, after all of that, the moral of the story is DO NOT get Meredith to give you a massage!! I've had to take a muscle relaxer and pain pills every night since then just to be able to fall and stay asleep!

When I called, I spoke to a very nice woman by the name of Christy who answered all of my questions thoroughly and professionally. I'm familiar with chiropractic, so really my questions were about price, insurance and what to expect at their practice as a new patient. I decided to schedule my first appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by Christy. She was just as pleasant and professional as she was on the phone. I was required to fill out some new patient paperwork (to be expected) and before I knew it, I was ready to get examined. Christy directed me to a room and took some vitals and medical history. After obtaining my symptoms and history and after only a brief wait, I met with Dr. Magar to discuss my symptoms and allow him to explain what his approach would be. After the initial exam, Dr. Magar performed some x-rays to determine if there was something wrong with my spine. After the x-rays I was given some muscle therapy to try to reduce some of the pain that I was experiencing that day. The process was pretty quick and easy, so I scheduled my follow up appointment. At my next visit, I saw Dr. Magar who had reviewed my x-rays and come up with a plan of action to help me become pain free. Dr. Magar is an extremely talented and professional chiropractor who can make you feel at home right in his own office. He is unlike any chiropractor that I've been to in the past. Dr. Magar takes a holistic approach to your well being and is genuine in his commitment to helping people feel better. I've been seeing Dr. Magar for about 2 months now, twice a week, and most of my issues have been getting better each time that I go. It is not always a drastic change, but you can't expect a fixed spine in one day. Overall, the office is relaxing, the staff is outstanding (and kid friendly), and Dr. Magar has helped in more ways than one. I have had some not so good experiences with OTHER Chiropractors. I tend to tense up at times because of past experiences. Dr Dave is always so kind and patient and explains everything to you. I have had problems with my back, neck and spine for a while. I even already had surgery to fuse a couple vertebrae together. My last visit with Ortho, they suggested physical therapy, surgery (again) or to live with the pain. I tried physical therapy for a while with little or no results. My son is also a patient and suggested I see Dr Dave. You never feel rushed. He takes the time to listen to what is bothering you to make sure he doesn't need to adjust your treatment plan. Everyone remembers you and asks about your day or plans for the week. Then, your next visit they ask you about it. Dr Dave sets up a treatment plan and reevaluates that plan if needed. You will start to feel more mobility then you use to, even in areas you didn't realize you needed it! You don't feel forced or pushed into purchasing anything.
