They did not come back and monitor the drying and equipment but tried to charge my insurance company for it. They insurance company refused. The adjusters told me that ECO was falsifying thier records/pictures but wont say that publicly. They just kept asking for ECOs proof pics which they are required to provide. This was the entire reason I hired them so they could prevent further damage to the interior of the house. The project manager kept saying daily that the leaks would be getting mitigated, but after talking to the roofing department he said there was a miscommunication, and they didn't know about it. This whole time they were charging me for drying equipment while everything kept getting wet and the interior got worse. They also pulled out drywall that wasn't damaged because they knew insurance would pay. I was frustrated, but my agent assured me she had talked with them as well and they would get the job done. They continued to lie to me and tell me that they were taking care of the roof until one day I got a call asking to pay the invoice and they were done with the job. My agent was shocked and didn't even know what to say. They left the place worse than when they started, and I was out a deductible plus further damage to the house. When the agent and I approached the owner to address the issues, he told me he "had empathy" for me but was not willing to work on an agreement to make it right, even with their inflated pricing. I have all the documentation if anyone is truly interested. It is unfortunate that this company takes advantage of natural disasters and distressed people for their benefit. The one thing they are definitely good at is getting money from insurance, which hurts us all in the end.

A week before Christmas we woke up to our entire downstairs flooded due to a plumbing issue. It was 5:00 in the morning and I had no idea what to do! After looking online a bit I found Morningstar Restoration and based on the reviews I found I decided to call them. I called about 6:30 in the morning and by 8:30 Luis was at our home. He gave us an idea of what would need to be done to mitigate any further damage. He was very familiar with the process of dealing with the homeowner's insurance, which was great because I was clueless! He took a lot of pictures to document the damage which was a relief when I realized that I had not taken any. After our first meeting, I didn't even call any other company. I felt very competent that Luis with Morningstar Restoration was definitely the best choice to help us get our home back! By 9:30 the same morning Luis had a crew at our house removing baseboards, insulation, carpet padding, etc. His crew moved furniture to dry areas and raise larger furniture off the ground so that nothing was damaged and they set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry out our home. Every person that was working at our home that day was so respectful and hard-working. On one of the worst days of my life, Luis and his crew made it as good as it possibly could have been. After the insurance adjuster came out, Luis did another walk through of our home and found many things that were missing or incorrect on the insurance company's estimate. The insurance company wanted to clean and reinstall our existing carpet but because Luis was able to document with pictures and communicate his concerns, the insurance company agreed to replace the carpet. Luis promptly put together a supplement to the insurance company requesting additional repairs including pictures of the items of concern. Luis has been amazing at helping us through step by step on how to deal with the insurance company. Luis is always available to answer any question I have and has been helpful in making decisions regarding flooring, paint, etc. He has worked hard to get the repairs done and get our family back in our home as fast as possible, yet never made me feel rushed in making any decision. The repairs to our home have been absolutely amazing. From the sheetrock repairs and painting, to the flooring, and carpentry, every area has exceeded my expectations. I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with each and every worker that has been a part of the repairs. They have been so courteous and clean up regularly throughout the process.
